    Tableside Caesar

I came here to celebrate my besties birthday and it was the perfect place with really great food! The vibe is a mix of old school Italian with speakeasy vibes near the back and the bar area. It's a very cool space and I recommend walking around to see the different areas. The bar is a nice place to spend some time before or after your meal and they also have live music in the main back area. We started with the tableside Caesar which of course you can never go wrong with. The escarole and white beans were one of my favorite dishes of the night. They were creamy but the escarole still had a great crunch. The sauce was salty (in a good way) and flavorful and really pulled everything together. Every dish is ginormous, so I highly recommend eating family style and sharing everything. The Sunday feast dish was fun to get because you got to try all of their meats including the sausage, braciole, pork rib, and the meatballs, which were very good. It also comes with rigatoni, which I was very pleasantly surprised that it was cooked to al dente perfection. The star of the night was the vodka chicken parm - it was so big!! But full of flavor and absolutely a bombshell. I want to go back just to try that dish again. We finished the meal with a celebratory cannoli which was filled with a fresh filling that was not too sweet and everyone enjoyed it. The server was very attentive and was helpful with helping us choose what we should order for our large group. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I'm glad we were able to come here to celebrate my friend's birthday.

This place is amazing! It's a bit pricey, but worth every cent--especially for a special occasion. If you're looking for an authentic Italian meal, this is definitely the place to go. Seth, our waiter, was an absolute gem, professional, welcoming, friendly, and very attentive. He was always present without being overbearing and gave great recommendations. When we were about to order two chicken parmigiana dishes, he insisted one would be enough to share and he was absolutely right! The atmosphere felt like stepping into the Frank Sinatra era dim lighting, music playing in the background, and a classic, elegant vibe. I truly enjoyed celebrating my husband's 50th birthday here. Highly recommend!

Great place to celebrate with a big group! I would recommend getting a bunch of friends together so you can all share and try as many dishes as possible. The beans and escarole appetizer was seasoned really well and of course the chicken parm was a go to. The food came out quickly but was still fresh and the cannoli at the end was crispy and not soggy. The service mimicked the ambiance with strong supper club vibes and attentiveness.

Overall, this restaurant is good, but nothing special for the price tag. When you are seated, you are served a delicious basket of bread to start. For appetizers, we had the Caesar salad, which is prepared tableside with delicious croutons. Four entrées, we had chicken Parm, penne la vodka ($48), and veal marsala, which is not on the menu. I like how they include peas in their dishes. The dimly lit ambiance, accompanied by live music, creates a warm atmosphere. While the menu offers a variety of dishes, the prices are quite steep. The cheapest bottle of wine is priced at $100, and the old-fashioned costs $24. Despite the attentive servers and delicious food, I find the overall experience a bit pricey. Personally, I prefer the charm and affordability of a hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant.

Enjoyed our dinner so much ! Started with Ceaser salad +meatball + calamari + stuffed peppers + Shrimp Filets cut was 10/10 and must taste steak sauce ! Sides - potatoes and pepper are good and feel breakfast potatoes! Spicy Rigatoni was another tables favorite Branzino was a real MVP on the plate, crispy skins was perfect and juicy fish Live music during Dinner is special and the energy while eating makes this experience neat level. Team serving was organized and guided our dinner perfectly

Food is amazing and the service is so friendly! I thought it would be stuffy and judgmental, but the server was genuinely friendly and accommodating. Did not try to get us to buy more, in fact told us that portions were huge and easily shared. Better to share to get appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert, in my opinion.

Went to Anthony's Runway 84 the other night for the first time and had an alright experience. We had a reservation for the dining room and were seated in a corner, so we couldn't see the stage from our table. At first, we were a little annoyed and were told we'd have to wait another 30 minutes if we wanted to switch tables. In the end, it wasn't too bad because it made it easier to hear each other. The bread that was served was really good. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer, and they were good overall. Most of the mussels were small, but the spice level was perfect and the sauce itself was great. We shared the chicken parm, which was pretty good and very filling. The breading was excellent, and the meat was tender. We also tried the ricotta cheesecake for the first time, and it was really damn good, would definitely order that again. Overall, the experience was okay. The waitress was really nice and helpful and answered all of our questions. I'd say the price didn't necessarily match the value or the experience we had. I've spent less on better-tasting food, and I don't think I need to go again.

From valet to dessert, everything was exceptional. We grabbed a drink at the bar before our reservation, and both bartenders were sweet, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We tried two of their tequila-based signature cocktails and both were beautifully made. The Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning--every detail in this restaurant felt intentional. From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a completely different place and time. The music was perfect too--great old tunes that really set the mood. We had to make a 3:00 pm reservation since dinner was fully booked, but it honestly worked out perfectly. We got to experience the tail end of the lunch crowd and then watched the lights dim as we were leaving and the dinner guests began arriving. It really highlighted the upscale, timeless vibe. I was bummed to miss the live music, but that just gives me a reason to come back. Our server, Seth, truly elevated the experience. He walked through the menu with us, was very honest, and never tried to oversell or steer us in the wrong direction--which I really appreciated. For appetizers, we had the tableside Caesar and calamari, both fresh and well executed. For entrées, we shared the bolognese, chicken vodka pasta, and beef braciole--every single dish was excellent. Bonus tip: ask for an extra side of sauce, it's such a nice touch. Seth sliced and served everything tableside, which added to the experience, and plates and utensils were changed between courses--another detail that didn't go unnoticed. Great service like this is becoming more and more rare, and that's what made this place feel so special. It truly had a classic, old-school elegance. For dessert, we shared the traditional cannoli and tiramisu. Both were delightful, but the cannoli was the clear winner. I can't wait to come back.

I don't throw around five stars lightly, but Anthony's Runway 84 earns every one of them. We kicked things off with the carpaccio, beautifully prepared, clean, balanced, and full of flavor. For entrées, the chicken vodka parm was rich and comforting without being heavy, and the cacio e pepe was executed exactly how it should be, simple, bold, and perfectly textured. Save room for dessert. The pistachio cannoli was out of this world, easily one of the best I've had, memorable in the best way. The ambiance is classic Italian, vibrant, energetic, and full of life. One small note: I do wish there was an option for a slightly quieter room, this could elevate the experience for those wanting a bit more intentional or private experience, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Service was outstanding. Christian was the best, attentive, personable, and on point all night. Bottom line: this is the spot for Italian food. If you're going, go hungry and go happy.

I recently visited Anthony's Runway for my husband's birthday on a Thursday night, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The ambiance gives a luxurious, mafia-exclusive atmosphere. It was warm, dark, beautifully decorated, and perfect for a special night out. The drinks were on point, the food was excellent, and everything was seasoned perfectly. The standout dish for us was the rigatoni! absolutely delicious. Portions are generous and meant to be shared. If you're going on a date, ordering two dishes is more than enough, and for a group of three or four, three main entrées will easily do the job. They also had live music, and our waiter was phenomenal. The overall experience was unforgettable. My husband and I will definitely be back--this has officially become our favorite spot.

By far the best Italian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. I always bring people here when they come from out of town because the food is delicious. Ambience is great and even just going to the bar with my husband to have a drink and a meatball is perfect. They offer Valet a big restaurant and the portion sizes are huge, which I appreciate and it's great for sharing. I've been to this restaurant many times and it never gets old.

WOW! What an experience at Runway 84! The interior of this Italian supper club is beautiful. On a Friday night at 8pm, the bar was packed with fellow guests waiting for their table. The live singer and band were so good and made for such a fun atmosphere. We were a group of 14 and were seated in the front room, away from the band. I was here for a 40th birthday, where my friend had already picked all the food for the table. And wow, was there a lot of food! A few standout starters for me was the crispy calamari and perfectly dressed Caesar. The truffle pasta was my favorite entree, but honestly I was so full by the time we got to the entrees I didn't come close to trying everything! Our service team was prompt and friendly, and the manager who had coordinated the amazing group dinner with my friend's husband for her birthday made sure to stop by. I only removed a star because we were seated over an hour after our 8:30 reservation time. A great place for groups or a date, I can't wait to go back to Runway 84!

Five stars without a doubt. We are arrived a little earlier to our reservations and the host had a table available. But ...The table we were given was tucked at the end of the bar area that was crowded with people standing in the bar area. We requested to not be seated there. The host said she could accommodate but it would be a 30 minute wait. That was ok! We got a glass of wine as we waited and the time went by fast. We were texted with a table available right away. This table was around the bar but not tucked away in the back and now we had a better view of the band as well. Which we wanted to experience.. Our waitress was Cristy. ( how can I forget... it's my name) she came by immediately to introduce herself and take our drink orders. Wine of course! Right away we were given water and complementary bread that was delish. It was like a pizza flavor bread. It melted in your mouth. I was trying to not eat the full break stick but I could not hold back. As appetizer we had the homemade mozzarella that came with sliced tomato and prosciutto. Let me say it was delicious. The blends of taste and freshness was amazing. As for the main dish we decided to share a plate of the chicken vodka Parmigiana and spicy penne Rigatoni. Let me add that the Chicken Parm can be easily be shared between 4 people. Cristy actually cut the chicken into 4 portions for us to be able to split easier. The taste on each bite was divine. So fresh and not dry at all. A good blend of pasta sauce that does not over power any taste. Our reservation was at 8:30 pm so it was good because we got to experience the live band that also walked around the tables. The vibe is dimmed, the walls have pictures like an old Italian style look but still looking classic and modern. Do make reservations well in advance... we went Saturday, Jan 31 and that was the 1st Saturday available and had the reservations were made in December. Valet parking available. We took uber so I'm not sure if the parking is complementary. Nice place for a special occasion. It is pricey but worth the money all around great service, food and ambiance.

Is there a corkage fee? And happy hour?

There isn't a bad seat in the restaurant. We enjoyed sitting in the entry way dining room as it wasn't as loud as the main area. Their website lists the days & times for live music: https://www.runway84.com. Enjoy!

    Is there self parking?

They offer valet. I'm sure you could park yourself if you really wanted to.

What hotels are near runway 84?

There is an ALoft by Marriott just a few blocks up the street. It was nice and clean.

What is the Cypress Room? We tried for the dining room, but only could get the Cypress. Should we bother going if it's that room is separate and not a vibe?

The Cypress Room is a dining area to the left of where you first enter; festive but in my opinion not really a vibe especially compared to the dining room or even the bar. The food is fantastic nonetheless so you won't be disappointed there but I… Read more

We ate in the main dining room where the entertainment is. It's like walking into the movie, Goodfellas, and sit in one of those luxurious big booths. Have a great time!!

    Yes!

There were kids there I would recommend really early as it gets really loud and busy

Do they still offer the cold seafood salad? (God I hope so!)

I don't recall seeing it on the menu last night.

Do they still offer mussels as an appetizer without charging?

    Unfortunately, no.

I just double checked and in the photos there are pictures of the menu with prices. The average dish here is about $26 and up.

I started with the grilled octopus and cannellini beans--always a risk if the kitchen doesn't know its way around a tentacle. Fortunately, LaFuga does. The octopus was tender, flavorful, and seasoned like it had just come back from a summer abroad. A great start. For entrées, I went with the shrimp over homemade pasta and the swordfish. Credit where it's due: the seafood is where LaFuga really shines. Both the shrimp and swordfish were cooked exactly right--moist, perfectly seasoned, and confidently plated. If the meal had ended there, this review might've turned into a standing ovation. But then... the pasta. And while the menu proudly labeled it "homemade," I'm not sure it was quite "ready to leave the house." It was noticeably hard--whether from undercooking or an identity crisis, who can say? Let's just say the texture was more "al dente... and then some." To be clear, nothing was bad--it just felt like two different kitchens made the dish, and only one of them had read the recipe. All in all, LaFuga is worth a visit for the seafood alone. If they can get the pasta to stop pretending it's auditioning for a role as a firm mattress, they'll really be onto something.

After all the hype and difficulty getting in, I was very curious to see if it would actually live up to expectations--and honestly, it did. First, the cons. The restaurant is tiny. Like...teeny tiny. There's basically no standing room when waiting to be seated or picking up an order, so everyone kind of awkwardly crowds near the front door while servers and bartenders are constantly weaving around you looking mildly annoyed that you exist there. Eventually, people started gathering near the opposite end of the bar by the bathrooms because there was at least a little more breathing room. Once seated, the atmosphere is very lively, loud, and fast-paced. Not necessarily a bad thing, but definitely not the place for a quiet intimate dinner. Our server also may have been having an off night because there was a bit of attitude mixed in throughout the meal. That said... the FOOD. Unreal. Absolutely worth the wait and reservation struggle. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The sweet long pepper, Savage Garden salad, and Bolognese pasta were all incredible. Then came the pizzas--the fresh tomato pizza ("upside down pie") especially was ridiculously good. The squash blossom and cold pulled burrata pizza was also delicious. To finish--because we weren't stuffed enough--the strawberry olive oil cake. A literal perfect ending to the meal. Despite a rough start, the food completely stole the show. Easily an 11/10 meal. The dining room was full on the night we were there and the ambiance is simple and a little rustic with the brick walls and beige tables. We started with the grilled octopus and the Italian rice balls stuffed with meat. I think we confused them as the rice balls come 2 to an order and there were three of us so we asked if we could buy an extra one. The first order came up with only 2 but instead of just leaving them and bringing another- they took the 2 away and then just brought one with out the other two. Clearly we screwed them up with our request. Eventually we ended up eating three but not at the same time. The octopus was delicious! For our entrees, I had the spaghetti alla vongole which was delicious and packed with clams. One of my dining companions had the lobster ravioli done spicy and and LOVED it as it came with shrimp on top and small tomatoes. My other dining companion had a special of the day which was a pumpkin ravioli. I think something got lost in the description of that item as he was expecting more of a fall dish but it came with a red sauce on it which he said was an odd combo. For dessert, I was stuffed, but one of my dining companions got the tiramisu for dessert which he said was quite good. All in all- the food was quite good, the drinks were well poured and we had plenty of food to take home for another night. Nice to have this local place in our neighborhood!

This restaurant is lovely. Weather permitting, I recommend dining on their outdoor patio. Indoors…read moreis a lot of hustle and bustle. Very well staffed. This is not your typical Chicago Italian style restaurant. The menu is varied and I was able to find something to order. I am very picky about the Italian food I eat. The Angelo salad was delicious. For my entree, the fettuccine bolognese was just not to my taste. My husband had the Caesar salad which he enjoyed. The sauce on the ravioli was different and, again, not to my taste. There was some confusion on the dessert we ordered, but the correction was quickly made. The restaurant is large but the parking lot is a nightmare. Fortunately we were in an Uber but while waiting to be picked up after we had eaten ~ crazy busy with limited parking spaces. I tried for months to make reservations so be aware you can finally make a reservation about 6 weeks in advance. The restaurant is busy and even offers pick up service and they do have valet parking. I would return and hope they could make a simple butter sauce for my pasta.

The meal began with a complimentary plate of bread, olives, and cheese -- a perfect start. We decided to go big for dinner, and it was absolutely the right choice. The Dover sole special in a French-style preparation was outstanding, and the one-pound thin veal cutlet parmigiana, paired with fresh homemade fettuccine and rich Bolognese sauce, was nothing short of WOW. Dessert took things to another level: the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and an overflowing molten chocolate center was pure indulgence. This place is truly a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale and an absolute must-try.

Vitalo..... One of the Best Dining Experiences in South Florida…read more Vitalo easily ranks as one of the best dining experiences I've had in the Fort Lauderdale area. From the moment you sit down, everything just clicks the food, the service, the atmosphere it's all top-notch. What really stood out was the attention to detail. Chef Anthony personally came out to check on the table, which always adds a great touch and shows how much pride goes into what they're doing here. The food was outstanding across the board. The Bolognese was unbelievable rich, perfectly balanced, and exactly what you want from a dish like that. The pizza had a great crust, crispy on the bottom with just the right texture. The antipasto was a home run, and the drinks were just as impressive well made and consistent. This is one of those places where everything is done right, and you can tell it's not by accident. Bottom line: If you're anywhere in South Florida, this is absolutely a place worth going out of your way for. One of the top restaurants I've been to in the area highly recommended.

Food & drink came out insanely fast, and good thing bc I came hungry. Bread was sooo warm, spicy vodka pasta was hilariously neatly stacked but super delicious, espresso martini was one of the best I had, and cheesecake was delectable. I will definitely be coming back here everytime I'm in town to visit.

Drinks were also really good I had the Marco Polo cocktail and I really really enjoyed it. Chicken Parm was spectacular and the Margherita pizza was soooo delicious with the added prosciutto (totally recommend doing that by the way). The SERVICE!!! Was absolutely amazing I want to give a HUUUGE shoutout to our server Van, he was the absolute most awesome and kind guy and he gave me some of the best service I've ever received from someone if you're coming here and want to have amazing, attentive, and caring service I'd ask if Van was working! We had left a dessert behind and he was so kind enough to put it away in the fridge for us when we went back to get it! Ambiance here is very dim and intimate so it definitely makes for a great date night spot! 10/10 experience I would 100 percent come back again!
