I have lived around Olympia area for about 5 years and love it! This weekend we went to grab a bite to eat and ended up here! The staff was excellent and the food was awesome. They were very kind and it was refreshing to see that they are following the recommendation of the CDC. I will continue to support them. Went looking for a place to sit outside near the water on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Decided Anthony's would be a great spot. When we arrived there were few customers and tons of empty tables. My girlfriend asked if we could be seated outside. Was told no, not enough servers to open it. Okay, can we just get a table near a window since there wasn't anybody in there thought that wouldn't be a problem. We were told to wait? What okay I guess. So we sat in an empty lobby for a couple minutes and then were sat at one of the many available tables. We then ordered an app and had a couple Bloody Mary's. So far so good except drinks seemed half the size of a bloody mary anywhere else on the planet. Gf ordered $36 fish n chips. Which were outstanding, for $36 they better be! I had a Cobb salad which looked wonderful but wasn't. Pretty sure shrimp should be cool and firm these were warm, slimy soft smelled fishy BAD. Waitress was good, I didn't complain. Been going to Anthony's for decades. This was it for me won't go to another. Very subpar experience. Better meals for far less $$$. read more

Kyle, the manager offers horrible customer service. The only reason I'm leaving one star is because I have to in order to leave a review. We stood in line to be seated at the bar that had two open chairs, and the bar tender wouldn't even acknowledge us. When the manager approached us, we asked to move a chair around, and she could not life anything heavy as she stated, but never asked for any other help and left us standing there. ANTHONY'S SHIP HAS SAILED! Anthony's has always been a reliable go-to restaurant when we want a solid, middle of the road dining experience. Nothing spectacular but dependable and consistent. Sad to say those days are over, at least in Olympia. We've noticed a diminution in quality and service over the last few visits but tonight was the demise for us. The entrees arrived and one had to go right back because the order was completely incorrect. Hence that awkward interlude when one diner has a hot meal they are reluctant to eat as it grows cold waiting for the corrected order to be returned to the table. The food tonight was very mediocre, reminiscent of a school cafeteria. Dry, boiled potatoes with no butter or sauce, nearly raw broccoli and a very small portion of ling cod with an unpleasant citrus butter. We like to come to Anthony's in August for the Olympic Mountain peach ice cream which was good as always. But given that it is "Peach Month" at Anthony's, is it unreasonable to expect the peaches to be ripe and sweet? Wouldn't they be planning ahead for this? The overall poor service and the mediocre food was made worse by the annoying yelling emanating from the kitchen. The expediter continuously yelled out the orders to the kitchen staff and waiters in a loud and disruptive voice. We weren't sure if we were at a Denny's or the neighborhood diner. Or perhaps the kitchen staff was preparing for an episode of Hell's Kitchen? The acoustics at all Anthony's restaurants are challenging to say the least but this added irritation was ridiculous. A very disappointing evening and an unfortunate waste of $100! We could have done much better at our lChipotle's. read more

First, we had reservations here and when we walked in at our designated time, I thought it was a good thing I made reservations because there were around 4 other groups waiting. We were told they'd be right with us but everyone else was sat and we ended up waiting around 20 minutes past our reservation. I have to say, our server was excellent and even though we had to wait, the hostess team was very nice. Drinks and apps came out quick and were fine. My gripe here is the cost vs the food quality. There was a small string in my mashed potatoes, we found a couple pieces of shell in the crab cakes and the veggies were oily and mushy. I will say the filet I ordered was cooked to perfection and that was the highlight of the meal. Everything else was mediocre at a not mediocre price. read more

It's a solid seafood restaurant. They have an early bird special so you can get a 3 course meal I had the Halibut with rice. The rice was was nutty/crunchy. Not soft. Either a mistake or intentional. It was good nonetheless. They brought sour dough bread. It's been awhile since I had some. I'm trying to make my pants fit better but WTH It has a great view of the inlet. This is my only go-to when craving salmon. I'm telling you... the salmon salad, the wild planked salmon, salmon sliders, or the salmon bowl.... you're in the world of deliciousness. If you are up for something not as healthy, I recommend the fried calamari! Last time I was here, my friend got the oysters. He was in heaven. At the Olympia location, we dealt with Pokémon players constantly walking in front of us with their heads stuck to their phone screens and we found that quite comical when there was such a beautiful marina view to enjoy. The Richland location also has a great view and the SeaTac airport location is always my favorite stop between flights. read more

I had a dirty plate when the waitstaff sat us down at a table that was open. I nicely asked for a clean plate, and was given yet another dirty plate. The plate had dried stuck food on it. I ordered the ahi nachos thinking the ahi would be grilled it was raw. My friend ordered fish and chips and said his were cold. Not impressed, there are better restaurants in the area. read more

I really wanted this to be 5 stars! My grandparents 60th wedding anniversary dinner- what a thing to celebrate! Sadly only ONE server (Beth) for the 30 of us.. we waited a really long time, dirty dishes sat in front of us for so long we had to move them for our pictures ‍ my husband got water dumped all over him. He was so frustrated and didn't want to tip as the frustration built. We did tip, as a reflection of our service, wet clothes, small portions, we tipped on the low end but still appropriate. Everyone paid separate so she did get many tips and only the low tip from our personal experience (2 plates). The server BETH had the audacity to bring our ticket back to our gathering, and openly asks why we tipped low. We always tip at least 25%... we realize that eating out is a luxury. We were so frustrated by the situation, and the way she attempted to humiliate (disguised it as "making wrongdoings right"). You get the tip we felt appropriate, and bringing it back for a confrontation it is horribly tacky! She wouldn't quit and even brought my mother who was sitting at another table into the open conversation she created. My mom and several others in our party asked her to please stop with the discussion we were not happy with 1 server 30 persons service and having water dumped on him! Period. Overall this made everyone cringe.... Food was very tasty though.. we loved the Caesar salad. read more

Good meal, great deck but service on deck needs help. I've had the wine charged incorrectly and service was so slow and I figured to get the price fixed it would take at least 30 minutes so we paid the extra $8 for a more premium wine that we didn't drink. Stopped on for lunch with friends...brunch menu only on a Sunday was a disappointment, but they accommodated and all was well. I always enjoy the food regardless the Anthony's we visit. However, the brunch menu includes a fruit plate and I imagined a plate of assorted fresh and delicious fruit. Quality control was lacking here with a rotten strawberry, bruised peach and the melon was sliced paper thin. My wife and I had dinner here for her birthday. The food was good (although my wife's salmon was served tepid) but the service was terrible. When we arrived at the restaurant there was no one at the hostess station and it was about 10 minutes before the hostess arrived to help us. After being seated our server arrived promptly and took our orders. Then the wait began. The waitress did bring us drinks and bread, but after that we didn't see her for quite awhile. After about 30 minutes she came by the table to say our food would be coming soon. 15 minutes later the food arrived. My pork chop was great but my wife's salmon was just warm, as if it had been sitting while my pork chop was being cooked. Our server never did offer dessert but did finally bring the check. I should add that the restaurant never was that busy so I don't really understand the service delays. My guess would be a lack of competent management. read more

This review is only for HH! My husband and I normally have no problem finding a seat in the bar. It's 3-7pm daily. The portions are perfect. We order 3 fun foods every time we come in. It's less crowded than Hearthfire. Which we prefer. The fried oysters, crab & shrimp dish is a must! My husband loves their calamari! Prices are reasonable! About $6-$11. The bar is very small maybe 8-10 seats! Bartender is great at multitasking & she is super nice. read more

I have eaten dinner here the two times I have visited Olympia and I like it. It's the place to come for fresh fish and tonight I had halibut with the sliced potato I gratin and grilled veggies. T'was the homie's bday and we gave him full control of what we were having for dinner. We decided to stop in Olympia for a couple of reasons: Sleater-Kinney and lesbians. Unfortunately, he picked the worst restaurant imaginable and as far from both of those things as possible. We knew this as soon as we saw it that it was going to be a tourist spot with bad food. We each got the pre-fix menu for $20 something/pp. The salmon cakes were nasty and dry, the salmon entree was overcooked, and the creme brulee thing made me want to vomit. The burnt top was not burnt or crisp at all, it was really soggy and tasted like nothing, but cream. The service sucked. We ony saw our server when she took our order and handed us our bill. We had to catch other servers to get us drinks, refill drinks, take bar menu orders. Ugh. It sucked. read more

I have been going here for many years, but with the pandemic I have not been to Anthony's in over two years. What a difference two year makes. Service was ok. My waitress was good, but the hostess and servers were less than friendly. But what about the food. I had a bowl of clam chowder. Not good watery little flavor seems like they dumped a bunch of water in it. I had a small piece of halibut for $48. It was cook ok. I had a chocolate lava cake that was very unimpressive. The appetizers were good. Wine selection for by the glass is minimal and mostly local. I liked the ambience. Especially if you facing the docks. The coconut shrimp was cooked right and tasted really good. For our visit this was pretty much all that was acceptable. The service was slow given there were barely 4 tables. We had to wait for a while just to get a glass of water. The main course was close to the worst fish ever. I love fish, in salads, in sandwiches, in sushi, in curries. This, neither I nor my girlfriend could eat. Who do we blame? She made her yuck face and went, I can't believe halibut could taste like this. I see potential in this place but given the three figure bill I'm not sure its worth another shot. May be we got a sour lemon. But for $30 an entree there is no room for those, IMO. read more

It appears that the portions have been down sized and the prices have gone up. Service has not been that great either - having to ask numerous times for refills on beverages. For the prices, they need to come up with some killer creations that make people want to come back for some specialty items. Nice find and definitely worth the 45 second walk from our hotel. I know it's a "chain" restaurant up here in the northwest, not my typical MO for dining out while traveling but both our customer and the hotel highly recommended it. It was a nice meal and the outdoor seating along side the marina definitely didn't hurt. Good is good, and I'd definitely return. The chowder is pretty solid and the crab cakes were also surprising good too. So many corporate places take short cuts on things like soup and appetizers but the crab cakes (for example) were stuffed full of shredded crab meat and again, tasty. Th next time I go, I think I'll try some of the features salmon. I went with their version of the fish and chips and they were ok. Still a little "bready" and mushy for me but tasty. Great scenery, good food, and badass bathrooms!! This will be my go to restaurant when I have company. When I went, I requested outdoor seating(have a service dog) and the view is awesome, especially when it's sunny. My dog really enjoyed people watching with other dogs. The food was really good. I ordered cod and chips and they also provided fresh fruit and coffee cake before the meal. The cod was delicious. The fish was really fresh and perfectly battered. The "chips" looked like McDonald's French fries, but were pretty crispy and not extremely salty. What I was really impressed about was the bathroom. When I went in, I was in awe. I came in on a Sunday, and there were small TVs right above the urinal playing the football game. The lighting was dim which gives you a more relaxed feeling while relieving yourself. Just awesome lol. Overall, Anthony's is a great restaurant in my book. They easily earned 5 stars. read more

Used to be a go to place for a reliably delicious dinner. Took my mom for her birthday last night. Arrived at 5pm, ordered soon after we sat at our table. Received starters timely and then had about a 45 minute wait for main course. Our dinner arrived to the table at 6:20pm. Left us with about 10 minutes to eat our dinner and then had to get dessert to go In order to get to a work shift. Food was mediocre at best. Will look for another option next time. read more

First I want to say the service good and the drinks we ok but sadly the food was a severe letdown. Ordered the calamari at initial glance it looked good but tasted like soggy crumbs. It was virtually impossible to find the squid anywhere in the immense amount of breading. To add it was not seasoned at all. We also ordered the crab,shrimp, and artichoke dip and it was a soupy mess. No artichoke barely any shrimp and very little sight of crab. It was more of a cream sauce than dip. Huge letdown considering I had heard great things. My wife and I then order steaks and shrimpwith mashed potatoes! I had broccoli and she had spinach. Both steaks looked amazing but lacked seasoning. It had absolutely no salt. The temp on the steak was actually really good. The mashed potatoes again incredibly bland and honestly felt like it was out of the box. Nothing to brag about. And for the record this was the case for both mine and my wife. The shrimp was over cooked and still had the poop line in it! How do you butterfly the shrimp and not clean it? Laziness that's how. The broccoli was overcooked and pale. The sautéed spinach was really good. Overall it was a wasted $200. Nothing on the plate was worth what they charged! read more
