The food was good but the service was the worst I have ever had. The waiter forgot multiple requests for utensils and only refilled our drinks once in two hours. I know what you are thinking, why were you there for two hours? Because the service was that slow. Also, the waiter gave us the wrong bill and only brought us bread when we requested half way through our meal. The bill was $60 and I left a $3 tip. Just to give you an idea of how I normally treat servers at restaurants, I usually tip about 20 percent. I was shocked at how terrible the service was. I will probably never go back, which sucks because Anthony's in Des Moines has always been awesome too bad the Olympia Anthony's is awful. read more

The meal was good for the price but fell short on flavor. For some reason the restaurant looked and smelled very smoky so I'm not sure if there was a ventilation issue when we dined as the kitchen is open to the dining area. Part of our order was the kids order of wild salmon and it was very dry and bitter due to the excess grill marks. I switched dishes so that my kiddo would eat. I'm sure I could've sent the food back but I don't trust that at any restaurant. Overall, the views are great and the food is above average. read more

Slow service. Overpriced. The entire place was filled with the smell of deep fat fryer.

Fish was mushy and just luke warm. Coffee cup had a lipstick stain (yuck). The waiter didn't apologize, no manager came to apologize either. To me, this is a huge "no, no" within the food service industry. With no response from anyone at the restaurant, I wouldn't recommend it nor am I going to be a returning customer. read more

As a note at the top, prices here are toward the top of the "moderate" ($$) range and much closer to the "spendy" range. Cheapest entree on the menu is $17, others go above $30. Don't be startled when you get the menu. I've been to Anthony's in Spokane several times and liked it a lot so decided to try it on a visit to Olympia. The result was a 2-star (close to 3 but I'm rounding down). I'll split it into atmosphere, service, and food. Atmosphere: four star. Nice view of the marina from many window seats, and those not by the window can see the open kitchen layout which is pretty cool. Food: 2.5 star. The seafood was competently prepared, as one would expect. A little heavy on the garlic for clams/mussels but that's a matter of taste. I was seriously disappointed with the creme brulee though. As any burnt cream fanatic can attest, the best part of that dessert is breaking through the crunchy top into the cool-to-slightly-warm soft texture below. Instead, the creme brulee we got was cold all the way through, and the sugar topping was sticky. It had obviously been burnt some time before being brought to the table and had been refrigerated in between. A disappointing ending to an otherwise good meal - and it should've been better, for the price. Service: two star. I feel conflicted here because I liked our waitress, and she was knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting other things to do in town. But: there were no water refills, a dish was taken away before it was finished and another was offered to be removed while it was still obviously being eaten, and an appetizer that I ordered never arrived. The last may have been a blessing in disguise because portions were large enough I never missed the extra food, but still mildly annoying. Summary: you pay a high price for the atmosphere. Food is decent but expensive, service spotty (on my one visit). Anthony's in Spokane built up my expectations, which is why the one in Olympia makes me say "Meh. I've experienced better." read more

With our stay at home order, we decided to try Anthony's Homeport (a favorite) for carryout. We had their fabulous lobster dinner (for $20), clam chowder and Caesar salad. Everything was exceptional- from timely curbside pick up, tender, delicious large lobster tail with fries, wonderful clam chowder and fresh, tasty Caesar salad. What a fantastic carryout dinner. Enjoy it in this time of craziness and uncertainty. We love Anthony's!!! read more

See, that's the thing about mauve. I have neither complaints nor raves about food, drink, service. I just couldn't shake the feeling that it was 1982... expecting Stanley Guzik to come ask me to dance. No, I will NOT make out with you in your parent's basement! I think even the same air has been in this place for the past 20 years. My preference is to shake it off and trek over to the Dockside, or around the bend to Anthony's Hearthfire, depositing myself in the appropriate decade. Whew! read more

Worse service experience ever. My husband and I sat there 20minutes after we ordered our drinks and never got them. This has been the second bad experience we have had here but wanted to give them another shot. My recommendation is to just walk over to Bud Bay and get real service and much better food. They don't even deserve a 1 star. I would also like to add that I have never given a bad review before and I would never just walk out, but in this case we did. read more

Ate at the bar as always. Don't believe in a "party of two". Clam chowder was tops. Happy hour, a great deal. Got done early so made it for sunset menu. I know we are getting older, but wasn't trying to take advantage of the place but it's a damn good deal if u make it by 6. Adam was behind the bar and was excellent. read more

While a very nice view, and a wonderful server, we were frankly really disappointed with the food. Over priced $7.50 tiny bowl of poor clam chowder. $30 steak that had sides that were not that tasty. I guess we expected more. read more

If you want a quality meal at an affordable price, this is your restaurant! We love Anthony's for its fresh seafood. The preparation is always delicious! Love the specials and the 4 course sunset dinners for $26. More than enough food with smaller portions than regular entrees. Forgot to mention the incredible views from this Anthony's. There's always something happening in the bay! read more

Whilte re-visiting my old haunt, Olympia, WA, we met some wonderful friends at Anthony's...a beautiful setting on Percival Landing, across from the Farmer's Market of national fame. We were the first to arrive because we wanted to check out the surroundings (since it had been many years since I had been there); we ordered Gordon Bros.Chardonnay...a nice white with a slightly oakie finish. When our friends arrived, one ordered the Latah Creek Pinot Gris and liked it very much. These were both great Washington wines! We later ordered Salmon Cakes (dee-liscious!), Coconut Prawns, Shrimp Fettucine with mushrooms, zuchini and parmesan cheese, AND the BEST Clam Chowder I have had in a very long time! Our waitress, Jessica was one of the most upbeat, happy servers we have ever met and she made our lunch date one to remember for a long long time. Though Anthony's is a chain of many great restaurants, we have found that each location has it's own personality and this was one of the very best!! Thank you!! read more

Service is impressive- professional and courteous. The food is very tasty. Their seafood selection is great. I had a sirloin and lobster special that was very satisfying. The steak was perfect at medium rare, mostly pink throughout, and the spices were not overdone but flavorful. The atmosphere is upscale and it seems like almost every table has a water view. read more

I only come here for two things - their mahi mahi fish tacos and clam chowder. Both are delicious.

I felt like I was paying for the atmosphere and the location. Beautiful restaurant and beautiful scenery, however the food was very sub par. My swordfish was bland and flavorless, as well were my crab cakes. I was very disappointed, I wanted to love this place so badly. read more

Anthony's is the restaurant my wife always chooses to go for her birthday so when that annual event came around again this year off we went. As usual we were greatly satisfied with our experience, Kathy had her usual Chop-chop Salad, I strayed from my usual Ahi to the Garlic Dungeness Crab, and my son had a Sirloin. We all loved our choices but we all commented on how the serving sizes seemed to have shrunk in last year. I guess that is to be expected from out economy, but I would rather pay a couple of bucks more and get good sized portions than save a couple of bucks and go away hungry. read more

As selection can be limited in terms of restaurants in Olympia, Anthony's is a good solid go to. Food is reliable, atmosphere is good, and the staff is nice. read more

Much better than expected per reviews. Halibut was delicately flavored and perfectly cooked. Cioppino was amazing served with toasted bread. Ended up here accidentally but would recommend...ate at closing on a weeknight. read more

We really enjoyed this venue. The service was great and the clam chowder was delicious, not to mention the wonderful view.

Went in on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday. Ambiance is great for a fancy dinner date. Had a drink at the bar and was called shortly to our booth. Our waitress was polite and great. The food was amazing! But had an unfortunate accident where my husband's plate had to be taken back and replaced after several bites. Our server was quick and sympathetic and his new plate was replaced and brought back by a manager who was very apologetic. To our surprise my husband's plate was replaced and taken off our bill. Food was amazing and the view outside is beautiful, so I will definitely be back. read more

Service was great once they remembered we was there; over priced big time! The food was ok and the prtions was good. The view was the best outside. read more

Anthony's is a regional chain restaurant. It used to be one of my favorites. The food is still tasty but the prices have gone up considerably and the portions are much smaller. My last visit there I ordered the choppino and the broth was very good. There were two bites of fish, two small clams and 2 mussels in the delicious broth. And it was over $20.00. read more

Went here recently and we were sorely disappointed with the food. The service was good and the staff was friendly though. I had the Dungeness crab fettuccine and it was passable. A little to rich but tasty. My wife had the seafood cipponio and it was practically inedible. The clams and mussels were gritty with sand. The fish was over cooked and the broth tasted like canned tomato soup. The prices were also a bit steep for the food quality but the view was very nice. read more

I've travelled the East and West Coasts, but had the best Clam Chowder and Cioppino ever at Anthony's Homeport! I told our server (Chris A.) of our plans to split soups, an appetizer and entrée and thankfully they were not busy enough that he was able to accommodate our request. Our appetizer was the artichoke, shrimp and Dungeness crab dip and it tasted amazing! We split the crabcakes and they were delicious! Chris A's service was excellent and he represented the restaurant admirably! The crème brulee was a perfect finish! read more

Went here for dinner with my fiancee and parents and it was terrible. I only give 2 stars for the view, because you're paying for the view - NOT the food. They served me a whole slice of bacon COLD with congealed white lard on it with my wedge salad ???? for starters and completely massacred a beautiful piece of halibut to the point it was dry as a leather shoe. My fiancee's shrimp scampi were also the equivalent of a rubber eraser they too were so overcooked. It's NOT worth it here for $35+ and higher per plate until the kitchen can execute seafood properly. Save your money. read more

I've been craving a great piece of fish for weeks, and I talked my partner into going to Anthony's because they have a lot of seafood choices. I got Mahi with macadamia nut butter. The fish was bland, the nuts were haphazardly strewn around the plate, and butter wasn't melted, so a couple of the nuts were just kind of stuck to the butter blob. My veggies were stone cold, and my Bleu cheese salad was dripping with so much dressing that it was inedible. The view was nice. The meal was $28, plus an extra dollar to sub the inedible salad for rice. All in all, it was a sad, sad dinner. read more

When i do finally venture out for fine dining...even though i came during early bird hours 4:30, i expect more than a diner dinner. I ordered the early bird sirloin dinner. Caeser salad was very good, salmon on a cracker was ok, the first bite of my entree was the green beans. They were woody and extremely stringy and i had to pull it out of my throat...4 x, then i picked them up with my fingers and pulled the strings out b4 eating . Moving clockwise , the baked potato- hard and dry. Steak was ordered med well...was very well. Waiting for the dessert now. Not with anticipation. I hope the burnt cream will redeem this dinner for me. read more

Great tasting alder wood plank salmon, wife had Patagonia shrimp and steak. Kids enjoyed fish and chips with mac-n-cheese. Glass of chardonnay a nice balance. Great views at sunset, easy to be romantic or bring the family based on seating. My son thought a TV above the men's urinal so he could watch baseball was cool, his definition of a classy place, LOL. There are specials and the food is fresh with daily menus. Not cheap, but if you want great seafood and a great atmosphere, Anthonys. read more

Always.....an excellent dining experience. The service and food are consistently fantastic! It can get busy, so make sure reservations are made. *Ask to be seated in Teddy's section - he's passionate about serving you, makes everything just that much better. Thanks and enjoy!! read more

I will go back to Anthony's again and again. Why? Consistency. I have bringing family from out of tow here for years for salmon and they never disappoint. I'm also a huge fan of their fish tacos and ponzu salad bowl. Great for a little celebration and on sunset dinner nights quite affordable 4 course emerald. Staff is super professional and you can't beat the view! read more

I absolutely love this place there food is so good and fresh. My son is a very picky eater and he loves this place. They are so good..

We had the sirloin and lobster tail. The lobster was just terrible. It was very rubbery with a distinct snap to the texture as it was chewed. The steak was seasoned nicely but was of poor quality as it was riddled with connective tissue. The lobster was returned to the kitchen but replaced with the same. Waitstaff was very sympathetic and professional. In the end, our check was credited for one lobster tail. Too expensive for the subpar quality. read more

was not impressed at all!!!! For a seafood place they should know how to cook prawns! They wher the consistency of rubber! The only good part was the garlic butter sauce. I was extremely disappointed! My husband ordered a steak and that to was way over cooked! read more

The BEST place in town for locals or to bring out of town guests! I don't usually write reviews (unless I have something to complain about!) but we have had so many great experiences over the last 13 years at Anthony's that I wanted to share about our favorite place in Olympia. Here are all of things we love: They have fresh, local seafood and produce. Food is prepared in an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs work. I am sort of a clean-freak, so it is reassuring to see everyone in the clean kitchen handling the food with gloves! The servers are all very friendly and knowledgeable and many have been there for even longer than we have been going to the restaurant. Even the bussers and hostess staff are super efficient. The bussers always have great dessert recommendations! Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. My husband and I usually go for the Sunset Dinner- a four-course meal available in the early evening- by far the best bang for your buck in the city. Out-of-town guests are always impressed with Anthony's food and service and the nice waterfront location and view. Since I am a complainer by nature, my one complaint would be that often the blinds are closed when I wish we could be enjoying the view. I think they are trying to keep the sun out of people's eyes, but in Olympia we need all of the sun we can get! read more

So saw the recommendation from Anthony Bourdain's show layover in seattle. We attempted to stop and get a drink while we were at the airport but totally mistook the location to be pre-security and had to get luggage. So our last meal, we went to this location. Place was very nice and roomy and we were seated overlooking the water which was a plus. The staff was very friendly and I ordered the fresh salmon for the day and man oh man, it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the lingcod and his dad ordered the rockfish and of course we all tried their chowder. I mean freshness of the seafood you can't really complain. Service was excellent and we got to try their bloody mary before our take off in seatac on 9/20 and will definitely be back the next time were in town. read more

Banquets are amazing here! Have had two banquets and have came a few more times for lunch and dinner. I suggest coming for lunch. I order the seafood Alfredo which I believe is only on the dinner menu however they always let me order this at lunch at a half the price with still a fair amount. Love the bread and butter. Every thing is amazing. Far cry from Gardners ( review already posted yuck). Worth checking this out. Plenty of space so not noisy, AMAZING view . read more

The food was well presented and tasty, unfortunately my wife's meal was mixed up with another and she didn't receive it until 5 min later. Later the waiter dropped a knife on a babies head that was sitting with us... Kind of an awkward experience. read more

Food was excellent. Service also. Only reason not 5 star is waiter didn't know the wines and hadn't tried the featured dessert. Would go back for sure. read more

Last week we had the pleasure of experiencing great service and wonderfull fresh seafood at Anthony's. David always serves up a refreshing beverage from the bar with good humor and a welcoming smile. And the servers are awesome. Always there with information, about the latest items on the menu. While not our first trip to this or other Anthony's establishments I'm never disappointed. It's great to see that the focus is on consistency in good food, friendly and efficient service and an overall pleasant experience. read more

Great HH. Very fun when the weather is warm to sit outside on the patio and enjoy a glass of wine and people watch. Highly recommend!
