The room was clean with a full kitchen which made it easy to bring/prepare your own food. There's also a grill outside for a barbecue and beach chairs which are free to use. We stayed there before but this time we stayed in a large suite with great views of the beach and a large balcony. The front desk staff was very friendly, even gave us a bottle of wine to help enjoy our stay! The property and our room was very clean and updated and included a full kitchen fully equipped with everything you would need for a longer stay, even though we were only there two nights. Its in a quiet part of Cocoa Beach, just south of the busy downtown area and directly on the beach. A great place to stay and we will be back next time we visit Cocoa Beach. read more

Arrived early and while raining! Room was ready The room was ready and they were able to accommodate us right away. I didn't realize its a motel which disappointed me when we got here but surprised its clean. Would definitely stay here again because its right on the beach. This was horrible and we did not stay there. I selected because of beach. The beach appeared nice. We showed up and they said that we did not have a reservation. Apparently, the booking service messed up. Instead of being polite and apologizing and trying to help us, the person who answered the phone at the location was rude. We could see one of the rooms. It appeared dirty and was not worth the amount we had booked for. The location was a distance from most of the restaurants. Fortunately, we found a place and it cost less. By far the best "motel" I've ever stayed at. Family is so hospitable and extremely friendly. I stayed for a couple months due to being on military orders and this place was extremely ideal for a long stay. Kitchen is fully equipped, large fridge, bed is comfortable, very clean inside (they do an excellent job cleaning) and if you see a bug, it's not cause it's dirty but it's Florida. The same bugs were at the Hilton and Four Seasons. The beach is really clean and quiet, hotel guests aren't crazy spring break college kids (even during spring break which I was there for), if you ask they have chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas to rent (stuff past tenants left behind) and the rooms with the kitchen are worth the upgrade. Lots of restaurants around but only 2 deliver to that area so food delivery apps aren't up to speed in that area yet. Uber is a bit pricey and pool options to make it cheaper isn't available. read more

This is our 3rd year staying here after the Daytona 500. Very quiet. Owners are awesome! Private beach away from all the big hotels. Minutes away from great food too. Deciding to stay at the beach spontaneously, not wanting to pay $200/night and a setting sun converged and drew me into this brightly painted small motel in south Cocoa Beach. A friendly clerk who was great with restaurant recommendations began the stay on a hopeful note. The room was clean. and there was a 32" TV mounted on the wall. Wi-Fi was available but I didn't ask for the password nor know if there's an extra charge. Google their site and save 10% on the room. Wish I did. HOWEVER. It was 62o out and the room was being aired out at the front window and the bathroom window. It had a horrid dank smell like many years of cigarettes and mildew. Towels were well worn. No complimentary soaps or shampoo--they were liquid form in wall dispensers to "save plastic". So that's as warm as the room ever got, considering when you turned on the heat the smoke alarm went off. Bummer with a 42o night and typical no blanket on the bed, just a sheet and bedspread. College size fridge that was noisy and frozen up, rusted microwave. Old-fashioned key door with fussy key and fussy deadbolt. Great location with the beach to yourself on a cold day away from the busy area (about 5 miles south). Tiki hut porch was inviting. Near a surf shack. Across from a strip club (but appeared safe enough). There are no signs for emergency or rates posting in the room which seemed odd in this over-licensed world. Could hear dog in nearby room. This was a "desperation stay" and I would not recommend, if a good night sleep or breathing clean air are priorities. This was more like a $45 value, not $85. Pay $25 more and stay at the La Quinta down the road (or $10 less if Sunday). read more

We stayed here following a Nascar race in Daytona. My boyfriend and I had an amazing weekend here. We were in room 102 I believe, and when we stepped out of our door, we were basically on the beach. Its far enough south where you can avoid the crowds and touristy spots. We had the beach to ourselves for the most part. The common deck outside our room was great. We drank memosas and ate fresh fruit all morning and just enjoyed the view. It was actually very romantic. If you aren't looking to be wowed by anything more than the beautiful view and the company you are with then this could be a spot you would enjoy. The only disappointment was the loud air conditioner and the sheets could have used fabric softener. The couple who run the motel are very sweet, and you can tell they have a lot of regulars. Its a old beach hotel, and if you are looking for a upscale place with all the amenities, this probably isn't a spot for you, but we will be back. read more

Honest review... this place has a lot of protential if the current owners would either A. Have more money to actually make this place what it has potential to be or B. SELL to someone who has the money to upgrade and care properly for the place. We got a 2 bedroom suite for the night and the AC was not working upon check in.. when I called the front desk they sounded like they already knew the AC was shit and that nothing was going to be done about it. I waited an hour/half and no one showed up to even take a look at the issue, so I called again! Finally they showed up and said that the AC for this suite was fairly "new" so they don't know why it would cause an issue. He then told me it's because I was keeping the door left open so that was the reason the suite never cooled.. I looked at him and laughed and said since we've checked in we have not left the door upon ONCE! Only to come in or leave and we shut it right behind us! It was a bullshit attempt to try and put blame on us because of their AC issue. He still didn't manage to fix it or do shit about it and just left and we never saw him again. I feel like if I'm going to pay 200+ for a night, I better have damn AC! So to rate the actual inside of the suite.. it was just very old and dated. The living room couch was disgusting and should be burned! It had spots/stains on it and smelt awful! When it comes to a "clean" room, well we found a random dirty sock under the couch so that explains that. I suggest spending a little more money and get a better location. I will say the beach area is nice on this location because it's more "private" not a lot of people so you kind of feel like you have it all to yourself. Ok.. first and foremost, my husband and I LOOOOVED this place! It isn't fancy at all, but i'm a simple girl anyway. We had room 102 which faces the deck and the ocean.. it was so private! I'm sure it was because it was off season for them. We absolutely love the location. The room is really small, and the bathroom is really small.. but that was not a big deal for us. At least it was clean. The only issue i had with the room was the smell. At first I didn't mind, because it was just kinda musty.. most likely from the a/c being off when the room isn't booked. That's fine.. BUT, the next day, after we had used the facilities.. shower, etc, a new smell developed. Idk if it was coming from the drain in the shower or sink or what... but it was pretty rank. And no, it wasn't from anyone "going" to the bathroom! -_- We will definitely be back... but will book another room. We just loved the staff and the location so much. If it weren't for the smell, I would have given it 5 stars, simply for the privacy and the location. read more

A lot of potential if the owners would take some interest the place other than the providing the bare minimum. There is a large upper deck front and beach side no furnishings. It could be a really nice area to enjoy the view and relax. There are no drapes in the rooms only vertical blinds so the room is lit up by outside lights at night. I think the most disappointing thing may have been the watered down hair conditioner in the shower. Seriously? How much is that really costing? We spent most of our time at the motel talking about how nice it could be if someone took some interest and initiative. Really a shame. I have visited here a few times over the years and was nice to see some new furnishings and a new coat of paint. Like I said bare minimum. Sad. read more

Decent hotel for price. Found this hotel off Expedia for a night's stay to avoid a 1.5hr drive back n forth. Local mom & pop motel. Nothing luxurious, but does the trick. Stayed in a 2 bedroom standard. Comes with microwave and mini frig. Beach is extremely quiet and not crowded. Definitely a perk of this smaller hotel. Flat screen tv. Bedding a bit outdated. 5min drive to the hot spots n dining area of Cocoa Beach. read more

We reserved a room for two nights before our cruise. We had a late flight arrival, with a long wait to rent our car. When we arrived the man at the check in counter told us our room was given away because our payment could not be processed when they ran it at 6pm. I told the man that was not right, I had way more then enough money to cover the charges and way wasn't I contacted to correct the issue? He told me that wasn't possible, but I gave my phone number and email address when I booked the room so they had two ways to get ahold of me. I asked the man to rerun the card and he said he couldn't, they gave our room away. So at 1am we had to find a new hotel. I booked through booking.com and when they contacted the hotel they were told it was my fault because we did not arrive during check in hours but NOTHING on their website or the booking site said they have check in hours, it said 24 hour reception. They lied to me and lied to them. Do not stay here!! read more

This is a solid 3 at best. I'm really surprised by all of the 4 and 5 star reviews...Yes it is literally "on the beach" and that is the best part about it. There is a short path behind the hotel and you are on the beach. There is a nice deck out back with a great view of the ocean and this part of the beach is private. We spent each morning on the beach and the beach was wonderful. The hotel not so much. There are absolutely no amenities here. Linens were stained and most towels had holes in them. The room was musty. While I didn't mind the small shower stall so much, there were no hooks to hang anything. A request for extra towels was met with attitude. While I loved the location of the hotel, I would not stay here again. read more

We came as a group of 8 and had three rooms between us. All of the rooms were clean and the couple that checked us in were extremely friendly. The hotel is situated literally right on the beach and there's a nice two story deck that you can sit on and enjoy watching the cruise ships come back into Port Canaveral. Pretty clean, spacious, has beach access. Not much parking. Towing signs up are no longer accurate, towing doesn't happen there, so I guess you don't have to worry about that if you have a second car or just want to park there. Bathroom had damaged shower, rotting wood in the window. We had one night of hot water and after it ran out it never came back. Opened the cabinet and it broke. The most important part, though, is that we were completely disrespected by one of the staff members. We were accused of having 6 people staying in our room (a lie, our extra guests did not spend the night) and yet the woman in the front office took an INCREDIBLY terrible and nasty attitude towards us and threatened to kick us out. Besides the fact that a family with several children over the room limit was also staying there at the same time, I suspect this was discrimination simply based on our age as college students, not that we were being noisy or causing disruptions or anything else substantiative. Later, they outright refused to give us more towels even though we were only given two for four guests because we "only have that many for each room" and accused of being liars. The next morning, room cleaning brought two extra towels, proving it wasn't a truth, but an aggressive and petty display of retaliation by that same woman in the office. Staff made an otherwise decent experience uncomfortable. Wouldn't come back here again or recommend it. read more

My 3 friends and I decided to stay here for spring break. It was definitely one of our best decisions. The room was big enough for the 4 of us, and it was very clean when we got there. Mini fridge, microwave, and soaps were all provided for us, which was a plus. The room was not too far away from the beach, and we could easily walk back and get whatever we forgot. I would definitely reccommend this to anyone who was deciding to get away and stay on the beach! read more

This place was pretty pricey for not having anything. The only good thing about this place is that it was on the beach. After we waited 3 hours for a our room to be ready (the front desk lady was very rude the whole time) we told them we had 4 people in our room, but each bed only had one pillow and only one towel! I guess all four people were suppose to share. The rooms where very outdated and this place isn't near anything special. There are no pools, no outside restrooms, no amenities what so ever. Our fridge kept nothing cold and the air in the room was not working as well as it should in FL. Not many people staying there so there was no need to place a large family above our room who stopped all night and were very loud. We will not be back again. There are other hotels (which we found to be cheaper) and closer to the excitement. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Great experience! Shower is nice and looks recently remodeled. Location literally ON the beach, away from the more busy part of Cocoa Beach which is good. My only complaint is that the blanket was paper thin and I was cold at night, but I am sure management would have given me another blanket if I asked. Overall a good experience. This is an awesome gem! We have stayed here two years in a row and could not be happier. The rooms are incredibly clean and the owners are so friendly and make you feel like family. The beach is right out the door. Last year we were accidentally given a smoking room within minutes of requesting a change the owners set us up with a new room and made sure that we were completely happy. The one downside is when other guests smoke right outside the rooms and the smoke drifts into your room. Other than that no issues. I highly recommend Anthony's! We are already planning our trips for this year! read more
