We used to love Anthony's, but we ordered on Friday and were completely disappointment. We ordered two things, a large Buffalo Chicken Pizza and an appetizer size Mozzarella, it came out to $40! While we do understand prices have gone up but $30 for a pizza is crazy! Plus it wasn't as good as it once was, we ordered it thin crust and crispy, it was very chewy and the flavor was eh. The mozzarella had eggplant in it but that wasn't stated on the menu.

Anthony's Restaurant was recommended by a good friend. They told me their pizza was very good. I went tonight based on that recommendation. I ordered the spinach and bacon thin crust crispy pizza. They give you the option of choosing what style of pizza you want. Thin crust, medium crust, thick crust and how you want it cooked. You can get it cooked golden, crispy or well done. I really appreciate that they give you these options. First time I ever saw that before. They did not disappoint. Delicious. I also ordered an antipasto salad. Fresh ingredients and hefty portions. The food is A+ . The seating area was filled with patrons of all ages enjoying a wide variety of dishes. That's always a good sign. They have small bar to the side with two televisions. Seems like a cool laid back place. Not to big and not to loud. Felt like a very comfortable and relaxed place to chill out after work or in the early evening. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Overall great experience. They will now be in my regular rotation of places I patronize.

I remember going to Anthony's once or twice when I was a kid, and after many years of driving by and wanting to go back, my fiancé and I finally made it in. First of all, you totally feel like you're part of the family when you walk in the door. Everyone was so welcoming, and many members of the same family work at the restaurant, so everyone is down-to-earth and comfortable with one another. We went around Christmas-time when they were serving these gorgeous winter cocktails! We also enjoyed their gigantic antipasto and bruschetta appetizers. Something that really stood out to me was the ability to choose between thin, medium, or thick crust pizza, as well as if you'd like your pizza light baked, medium, or well done. I think it's a great way to please everyone! The pizzas were incredible. I can't believe this little gem is in Oakville! The desserts were good too. Looking forward to many trips back to Anthony's!

    Pepperoni and onions pizza.

The antipasto was a serving for six people. The red vinaigrette and parmesan dressing very good. The pizza was so good pepperoni and onions. There was hard boiled eggs, artichokes, salami, fresh to atos, cucumbers, olives, mozzarella cheese, pepperoncini, green pepper, red onion, fresh tomatoes, fresh lettuce. They even had Bud light lime. Five star service from Emma, and young smiled when he brought over lids for dressing. We had two waitresses checking on us. It's clean place.Emma was amazing!!

Anthony's has been around for a long time and there's a reason for it. Consistency! Always great salad and pizza and a very nice low key atmosphere. I always enjoy sitting in the little bar area and having a meal there. Staff is very friendly and prices are very reasonable. We started off with the garden salad which my wife and I split and it was plenty for the 2 of us. They do offer family size portions as well. Next we moved onto our favorite pizza, sausage and green peppers. Another thing that separates this place from other pizza places in they offer 3 crust options. Thin, medium, or thick. We went with thin crust well done and it was perfect. They even offer you different variations of well done if you'd like. They have a couple draft beer choices or bottles. Also several wines to choose from and a cocktail menu as well. I must admit I have yet to try anything else other than the pizza here but they do offer dinners as well. Maybe next time I'll indulge! They have their own parking lot so there is no parking issues being located right on Main Street. Give them a try!

We've enjoyed the pies for almost twenty years - delish. The sauce on these pies is our absolute favorite - just the right amount of salt with quality tomatoes, nothing too sweet, too thick or paste-y. Delicious old school crust that is always fresh - never dry/stale. Anthonys KNOWS HOW to prepare a crust to order - thick/thin, well done/ medium - it comes out perfect. I wish every new pizza place would just sample Anthony's. Although you have to eat in house; not as good when you take it home. Excellent prices, limited wine choices.

One must sample the local pizza while in town. I think it's an unwritten traveler's rule in some Connecticut guidebook. Dimitri's popped up in the number one local spot according to Yelp. Drove over and walked through the take-out door. Saw a pizza get pulled out of the oven and set on the counter. Cheese was bubbling and the smell confirmed I was in the right space. Placed my order for a mixed topping pizza and an eggplant parm grinder. chatted with the folks behind the counter while I waited. Nice people. Pizza got taken back to my temporary home and it was everything I expected and more. Saved my eggplant parm grinder for lunch on Sunday. Restaurant eggplant usually disappoints but this was actually some of the best I've ever had and I've had lots. It's one of my absolute favorite dishes and I make it at least every other week. There are a lot of pizza spots dotting the landscape. This is one dot on the map that I would revisit. Sadly, I'm back home in California where we have nothing that even comes close to Dimitri's. Enjoy! I sure as heck did.

The staff is always super friendly, the vibes are cozy and local, and it truly feels like one of those family-owned neighborhood gems (I'll confirm next time). The pizza? Consistently great. I love the perfect char they get, flavorful without ever being burnt. I usually order the Buffalo Bentley with a blue cheese drizzle, which is a solid 7.9/10 for me. But honestly, the Blazin' Hot Pepper slightly edges it out. It is on the spicier side (beware), but wow--it's so good. I never thought I'd be into long hots, but consider me converted. Easy 8/10. I've never had a bad experience here, so these are genuinely honest thoughts. They have a solid variety of pies to choose from, and if you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out.

The atmosphere is from my childhood. Welcoming wood paneling, unapologetically antiquated glassware - the small bar where the bartender definitely knew every customer and instantly identified me as new. If you closed your eyes you could smell the smell of historical cigarettes and Chianti (this is a good thing). For the above they receive their only stars. The food was hugely disappointing. Chicken wings were clearly frozen Pierce Wing Dings - salty, bland, thrown on a plate with a plastic cup of bottled blue cheese and carrots from the Reagan administration. But the pizza - CLEARLY - not the "Apizza" as noted on their charmingly old sign - was a cross between frozen airport pizza - and sauceless/tasteless, too thick to be thin crust and too thin to be Greek style - hot bread with greasy cheese. I appreciated the photos of the original owner over the bar. I suspect this was actually a really great place in the 60's, 70's, and 80's under his regime. If in the area, there are 3 other better options with a 5 min drive in any direction.

We got a large half bacon & half pepperoni, as well as some garlic knots. The garlic knots were pretty decent, some crispier than others but that was fine, & brought a side of marinara. In my opinion some real garlic could ve gone a long way into making them more than decent, as the dough itself was good. The pie itself half some flop to it but not to the point where everything fell apart. I personally liked the flavor of the sauce but felt the cheese could've been a bit cheesier & the pizza dough was good. Again, these are my personal opinions, everyone has their own. There's not much parking available at all, I parked on the side of the street; just for reference. The total price was also pretty decent for both items. The ambiance was pretty good & the timing they stated for pick-up was accurate. The service was also nice.

They're a couple of great guys with tremendous hospitality among them but I personally don't care for their food. Pizza was underwhelming and the meatball parm was bland and fell flat. Tiny place with very limited parking along the street. They do a ton of deliveries within this area. The first time I was there they forgot the pepperoni on my pizza. I brought it back for a refund. They immediately said without skipping a beat that they'll remake it for me. I didn't have time on my side that day. They them said that they'd deliver it to me but I wasn't going to be close by and was leaving town. They even mentioned to do some pepperoni and put it in top. I refused that one and said that's jimmy rigging it which is a no no in my book. They ended up refunding me then to remedy this situation. I was happy with that to end up giving them another try at a later time. In not saying the food is bad. I'm only saying that it's not likeable in my opinion. Their service was pretty quick to have the pizza made. No lengthy wait. The decor inside is plain. They were in the middle of a remodel when i was there. They recently took the place over from the original owners who were there for umpteen amounts of years before this. I wish them the best of luck in their future success with this place.
