Nothing but LOVE!! I look forward to every trip to see my daughter and I will always come here every time. We were running through and only had time for a quick grab as we were on our way to other places. Next time I'm putting a cooler in the car. What was this madness of delicious I walked in to?! We grabbed some things that would hold throughout our travels. I should have known better. Swiss meringue that looks like a beehive and mousse bubbles?! Ugh. I hate myself for not indulging and making a mess...especially with being here only twice a year. Next time better planning will happen. Brownies here are heavenly and thick and rich and amazing. My son has to have one every time. The eclair was delicious. The choux was perfectly cooked. I tip my hat. Key lime pie was perfectly tart. Peanut butter cheesecake is always a winner. I love the deep crust and how this is made. Until next time...I will just stare at the new photos and wonder what could have been. Sad.

Ice cream was good, but the coffee bean shaped mousse had some grainy stuff that would not melt in my mouth, and I had to spit them out. I can't tell if it is plastic or something, but I am not ever buying their bakery items. The things I had to spit out since they were either grainy and/or string-like texture that would not melt in my mouth.

Excellent coffee & tea place. They also sell ice cream cones & pints/quarts. Had we known, we would've come here instead of the place down the street which says ice cream but was quite expensive for a tiny scoop on a cone. Their desserts in the case here look INSANE. Not a great time to be gluten free!

The desserts were DIVINE and the man at the counter was so kind and helpful. There was something for everyone. We were visiting in town and are so glad we stopped in here!

No matter where we travel my mister has to find a sweet spot. He got his sweet tooth satisfied with the peanut butter pie and he convinced me to get something even though I was full from my lunch. I had two bites of the pecan turtle brownie, so rich and sweet. (that means more for him later) Meet the owner and discussed with him how things were and how his bakery operated. Drop in and get a sample of several decadent things. I doubt you could go wrong.

Wow. Who knew that in a small town such as Abingdon, that there could be such a fantastic pastry chef and his dessert shop. Seriously! Anthony's creations are so freak'n delicious. Do NOT go to the big chain stores that dominate the area that make tasteless, processed, preserved desserts. This place is a local business, with a high quality product, that is very reasonably priced. I bought 2 small cheese cakes for a birthday party, the Chocolate Turtle Cheese Cake and the Raspberry Cheesecake. I mean.... Come on! So good. And on a whim, got one of the bit size White chocolate raspberry petite fours. That little nugget had so much flavor. OK ok ok. I'll stop going on and on about this place. I LOVE it. read more

Oh. My. Word. Fabulous. Incredible. Wow. All house-made desserts that are out-of-this-world-good, and their coffee was equally as good...each cup is brewed individually. Eat it there or take it to go...just make sure to go! Located in downtown Abington, which was fairly easy to navigate with a 36' RV even when towing. read more

Great dessert place with very friendly service! I'm not sure how long my family spent trying to decide between the many great options, but it was quite a while. They have home made ice cream that's REALLY good. Even the "plan" chocolate is better than normal chocolate ice cream. We also had a caramel cheesecake and berry cake. Everything was really good and reasonably priced. I'm not a huge coconut cream pie person, but we had a taste and it was also good. Our only disappointment was that they only make cinnamon rolls on Saturdays and we weren't in Abingdon on a Saturday. Hopefully next time... read more

I've been back a couple times since my initial review and it's been just as yummy and even better in some ways. They've changed shop up a bit with some additional goodies...homemade ice cream, more coffee and drink selections etc. The baked treats are amazing and the ice cream I tried was delicious! I can only review based on what I had here last night, which is unfortunate because I have heard the desserts here, especially the cheesecakes are incredible. But I had the Creme Brûlée, which is one of my favorite desserts. This was not a true Creme Brûlée. This was not set up like a custard at all. It had the consistency of a very light pudding and tasted like a vanilla pudding, but brûlée(d) on top. I was disappointed. :/ read more

The Cookie Monster homemade ice team Anthony's has is the best ice cream I have ever had. It has the perfect balance of texture and sweetness with bits of cookie dough mixed in. My wife and I split the hot fudge sundae with the ice cream and I can say it is probably the best sundae we have ever had. The store is right off of Main Street and has sever tables inside to sit, just a really cool spot. Although their name to fame is their cheesecakes, don't miss out on the ice cream too! read more

Chocolate lovers rejoice! My family went here for the first time last night. This place has incredible desserts. I ordered the chocolate truffle tart. It was one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. It was like a flourless tort with a cookie shell and delicious whipped cream. Outstanding. Our children ordered ice cream and were very happy. We really enjoyed talking with the staff as well. If you are in Abingdon and need to satisfy your sweet tooth this needs to be your first stop. read more

I have had desserts from all over the world and honestly thought that Paris had the whole world beat. I bragged and bragged to everyone about how amazing the desserts are in France. I live in Abingdon and didn't even know I had the worlds best desserts in my backyard. This place is incredible, it's hands down the best that you will find. We no longer do birthday cakes for special occasions, we go to Anthony's. If you're in town or live in town, don't pass him up! read more

After dining at bonefire with the licious fritters that are 12 times better than crab cakes and delicious brisket and pulled chicken with greens I needed some dessert I was recommended to go next door to the place called anthonys it was only 6 o'clock as we left the restaurant I found athenae's to be closed even though they said they were open until 10 sad out know why they were close but across the street was another place 149 Sweets and let me tell you I am so glad that we went there Thanks so much for being closed. read more
