Cold like came straight out of refrigerator and goey like it hadn't been fried. Had to warm it when got back to eat it. I was very disappointed. Crepes are not suppose be like this. Sorry I usually do not give bad reviews but I had to on this and what I paid for 2 was $30.00 for only 1 a piece per person come on know. I wouldn't give 1 star but had to.

I thought the food was mediocre. The service is excellent and friendly. This is a very small café, but I've never felt crowded.

The Monte Cristo was one of the best I've ever had. The owner operator Gilou has a menu full of home runs. Stop by if you get the chance

This little café has the best food and the best atmosphere and the best owner. It is just a wonderful place to relax and have a nice lunch.

We lucked out with a table on the cozy patio sitting on Main Street, where the town buzzes with life. The interior is beautiful and refined, but the outdoor setting, with the fresh mountain air and the hum of the town, created the perfect backdrop for a special evening. Service was impeccable. Gracious, attentive, and perfectly timed throughout the night. We began with a chilled French Chenin Blanc that paired beautifully with our appetizers. The escargot, bathed in a garlic cream and Gruyère sauce, was rich and mouth meltingly tasty. The braised and seared octopus was incredibly tender, deeply flavorful, and quite honestly, one of the best we've had anywhere. For mains, we shared the heirloom tomato burger, which was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. Alongside that, we split the mushroom burrata orecchiette, pillowy pasta coated in a creamy lemon pistachio pesto with locally sourced mushrooms. It was rich, bright, and beautifully composed. When dessert rolled around, we switched things up with cocktails. I had the old fashioned with a pistachio twist, complex and not overly sweet. My wife enjoyed a smooth and flavorful espresso martini. Both paired wonderfully with the finale: a creamy, light tiramisu and a house-made French éclair with fresh peaches. Each bite was the perfect ending to an already stunning meal. From start to finish, Café Violette delivered. The food, the service, the atmosphere, and the view all came together in the best possible way. This is French fine dining with soul, nestled in one of North Carolina's most charming towns. An absolute must-visit in Blowing Rock.

There were three of us and we had a lovely meal My daughter and I had amazing salmon so favourable it came with a bed of rice so creamy. I asked for bread it was hot and smelled so heavenly. We also had a small dinner salad I had Caesar and my daughter had regular small salad with ranch. Michael had steak and scallops cooked to perfection. The ladies had wine and Michael had his brown sugar old fashioned with extra cherries . Then we ordered two deserts a coconut cream brûlée and a pichstasio cake. We all liked the crème brûlée best. Stephanie was extremely attentive and we wanted for nothing. We will ask for her next time as well. Thank you chef and Stephanie for a lovely evening.

To go with it, I subbed a salad instead of fries, and for a small up-charge, I had a half of their pear and blue salad sans the bacon. It was so good! I want to go back for a whole salad and try one of their flatbreads to go with it, so I can bring some leftovers home for lunch the next day. Now, if they had a cocktail offering with a product from the nearby distiller, I would have made him be designated instead of me.

Servers walked round us several times before acknowledging we were there. Okay to wait for a table, but when the table becomes open, acknowledge us and let us sit, rather than continuing to make us wait. We were seated and waited again before given menus and cutlery. A couple sat down several minutes after us and were given cutlery and menus. I get different waitresses have different tables, but a table who arrives first should be served first. And yup, they got their food before we did. Food was disappointing. Fries were warm. Crab cake sandwich (with shrimp) lacked flavor, and tasted like a crispy potato cake. Buffalo chicken sandwich should not be kids chicken tenders toasted in sauce falling out of the sandwich. Burger was overcooked and dry. The bathroom needs a clean. Slippery floors, cracked tiles that feel like you're going to fall through the floor. Around disappointed

Zero Stars should be an option for LP on Main. Went there recently on a Friday night (with…read moreadvanced reservations). Was seated promptly and was greeted by server promptly. Drinks were a bit slow and the restuarant was about 40% full at 6pm. Wife asked for a substitution on her salad due to cheese allergy. HOLD THE PHONE! "No modifications or substitutions are allowed at this fine dining establishment", the server said! We didn't see this anywhere on the website or as we entered the fairly clean and uninviting dining room. We were told there will be NO subs/mods made to our dishes so you MUST choose another dish that doesn't trigger your allergies (even if it something you don't like to eat)! By the way, the menu is sparse at best with very little variety of offerings. We asked for the manager as we have traveled all over the world in unbelievable dining experiences and this one thinks it is so in demand it can ignore the basic level of customer service. This cannot be right, can it? In comes the manager. Whew, right?! Nope! The manager doubled down on this silly rigid and unprofitable policy so we finished our drinks and left. The staff probably enjoyed the apps we ordered and left prior to receiving or eating. We walked about a hundred yards and enjoyed a phenomenal dinner at a really great Italian place (name intentionally omitted) that modified their dishes to my wife's liking. LP on Main needs to look at its policies and quickly. No response from management is needed or desired. When you see this "complaint" over the years of this restaurant's policies the manager' response always deflects and invites the former patron/reviewer back to LP to make their experience better. Fix the mods and subs policy and you might see more customers. Until then, you will find us wining and dining in the Banner Elk Village where they appreciate our business and enhance our experience through basic customer service. Until then...
