Don McGrew (American Surveying) lied in small claims court and evaded questions pertaining to the…read moreinaccurate and incomplete survey work I hired him to do. I regret not having a formal contract written that included specific milestones that we both could sign off on, and in general I regret getting hooked by his competitive quote (which turns out wasn't a quote). I have to hire another surveyor to redo the plat Don made (he was not willing to do the necessary research and instead vaguely referenced a conversation with another [more reputable] surveyor as the basis for his findings... I then did the research, and he refused to comment on it), and have to pay someone else to finish marking property lines. After he refused to finish, he showed up at my house with an inflated invoice (more than the quote) demanding to be paid, stating that if I paid him immediately he would remove the 'padded' charges. Because of Don's behavior, I got cameras installed around my house. I debated writing this review out of fear that he may retaliate.

These guys not only know how to sell they have the back end infrastructure in place to make sure everything online and social media is properly presented professionally. A professional photographer took the pictures and even took drone shots. They are professional, prompt, accommodating, and just down to earth. We discussed price range in the beginning then my wife and I settled on somewhere within that range because it was what we felt was reasonable. We listed our home, had an offer the next day, countered then agreed with a buyer the second day. Our house closed and the new owners took possession approximately three weeks from the day we listed it. My parent's in their 70-80's went to this company to sell their house. The realtor refused to give…read morethem a date and time for photos of the house after repeated requests and knowing they were on a timeline to pack and move only to show up during packing, taking awful photos during the move. He then posted the photos for the house online even after they were given pre-moving/packing photos of the house. My parents and sister contacted them multiple times to only be ignored and then given some excuse. It's horrible to treat older people so terrible. They are now locked into having to use a realtor that won't even take decent photos of their house to sell if or even post the more professional looking photos given to them. Shame on you!
