I bring the last Terra Cotta to check out and am told it is $34.99. When I said this is incorrect, all I heard from the two cashiers is "sorry, this is above me". When asked, can you correct it? "Sorry this is above me". I am not a stickler on pricing, but this was ridiculous. No offer to check with a manger or any one else, just a "Sorry, this is above me". Guess I will go shopping on Amazon..... So much for buying local.

I asked someone working there for suggestions and she gave me MANY suggestions. She helped me select a few plants and gave me recommendations on planting/ layout. They have a huge selection. I find it interesting that most of the negative reviews are in regard to their return policy and pricing (all of which are clearly stated). I am always wary of Yelp users who have less than 10 reviews and all are 1 star. Some people just like to complain. Go to Home Depot if you want low prices, a return policy, and unhealthy plants.

Everything from reupholstery to commissioning of brand new furniture, pillows, slipcovers...you name it. When I say every single piece of work has been flawless, I'm not exaggerating. Rachel delivers her work on time, at remarkable value, and is capable of virtually anything you can dream up. A recent example: we have a beautiful George Nakashima table and have always admired the leg support construction. We asked Rachel to build an art gallery-style bench with the same type of support. She simply looked at the table when she was here and, a few weeks later, delivered a stunning Nakashima style bench with exquisite black walnut legs. If I pointed to this bench and told you it was Nakashima, you would believe it. If you have furniture building or upholstery work of any level of challenge, Rachel will be the best phone call you ever placed.

But for smaller sales - this might not be the place. I wanted to update my bedroom with a few new pieces. Came with measurements and a floor plan and my designer came up with a really creative way to set up my room. Sounds great - right? It was, until when the furniture was delivered, I discovered my designer had ordered the wrong size dresser/chest unit. It fits in my room but not in the way I thought it could be arranged. I called the store immediately, the designer came to the phone but offered no apologies, no options. It's a custom piece, of course, so I can't return it. But I am deeply disappointed and will not use this particular Ethan Allen again. Buying furniture should be fun - and for the price, their customers should be thrilled with how the room turns out. I can't dump tens of thousands on furniture right now - there will be plenty of business for them over time.

Ordered custom furniture for a new home that was being completed. Unfortunately there was an…read moreexplosion in the home just prior to purchasing it and I was forced to postpone the delivery of my furniture order (had nothing occurred the order would have been able to be delivered on time). This is where Ethan Allen customer service fell apart. Other vendors gladly agreed to hold my orders for many months with no issues due to the unusual unforeseen circumstances Ethan Allen refused to extend the time of holding my furniture frequently citing the terms of the contract that I had signed and that it "wasn't their fault". They wanted to force me to pay outrageous storage fees and to pay for the furniture in full, site unseen. I was forced to secure a unit at a storage facility near the property and have the furniture delivered there. This is still an expense, but much cheaper option than what Ethan Allen was going to charge me for storage. They even had the nerve to not deliver the complete order to the storage facility. They had to make a 2nd delivery to the unit a week later with the missing items. The storage unit is near my new home but is a 200 mile round trip from where I am temporarily living. So I had to travel a total of 400 miles because of their negligence with the delivery. Manager Barbara and salesperson Deborah were absolutely abominable and have zero compassion or customer service skills. I realize what occurred fell outside the parameters of their precious contract, but this was a very unique and unusual situation which required them looking past all that to help out a customer. Shame on Ethan Allen. They represent themselves as a high end store...when you are purchasing. Once the purchase has been finalized their true colors shine through. ** I live in Congers NY. Also sustainable They are experts in their field. Yien has a background in textiles and fashion and Leon is an amazing furniture designer and carpenter. They have what you need to finish, and always are full of experience / knowledge of the interior design field. Absolute pleasure to work with. They also work with a budget which is useful if you're doing a hospitality project or have a whole house to fill with curtains, shades, upholstery.
