Unfortunately for me, the new place is 25 miles further north at the Jefferson Valley Mall. This is as far as you can go in Westchester county because Putnam county is just across the street. Like most malls across the country, JVM is not doing great, with not a lot of tenants or customers and it just seems to be barely hanging on. At least their anchor store, Macy's hasn't bailed yet. I'm hardly ever up this way, but when I am, I'll stop in at WTH to see any new stuff (and to see the old stuff). The new store has almost as big a footprint as the Galleria store, but way bigger than the previous White Plains mall one, which got the wrecking ball also (I'm not sure if that's a good omen). Everything was moved here, every plane, train & automobile (literally) and even Barbie (but no Oppenheimer). John told me he has big plans for the new store and to check back for new inventory soon. Each aisle has a hobby specialty. The biggest proportion is in the back where all the model trains reside. Glass cabinets are filled with vintage Lionel trains and other well known brands. The Hot Wheels collection made it over, as well as the Barbie and Hess truck collections. But my main hobby focus are model airplanes and ships and their collection of old kits is pretty impressive. They get new old kits all the time by buying up old collections and reselling. This trip, I got (3) 70's-80's nostalgic plastic airplane kits that I've had or wanted since I was a kid. I could wander the aisles here all day and they would have to kick me out. Maybe I'll go back after I grab some lunch at the food court...

There's an area for models/modeling kits, comics, figures, Funkos, Neca, and so on. There's a bit of everything inside. There's also a dedicated area for the card fad, including a sizable back room called 'ToyWiz Game Room', which seemed to be mostly Pokémon card stuff - I had no desire to go into the room since cards are not my thing, but it sounded like a grade school cafeteria in there and that loudness was all throughout the store. Without interest in about half the store, I found quite a lot of interest in the figures and collectables area. There's a good overall selection and several things I haven't seen in other similar stores. Naturally I needed to buy some stuff. Prices are what they are, but it's nothing I haven't seen elsewhere before or online. The displays were organized well and neat. There is plenty to look at and you can easily miss something the first time around, which I did. The lone employee in the front was friendly. There is a very small parking area in the front that has a few "30 minute" limit signs. I believe there is additional parking in the rear, but I didn't go back there. Overall a nice store I intend to return to if in the area again.

The people who work there have zero sports knowledge, and they barely know anything about TCGs either. They also have attitudes. I've yet to meet someone friendly there. Just a bunch of dorks who can't get a real job. Drive a little further and spend your money at a place where the staff knows the product and they don't try to rip you off.

Inside the store, there's a huge assortment of games, toys, plush, collectibles, and pop-culture items packed into every corner. You'll find everything from modern fandom pieces to classic toys from the '80s, which adds to the fun of browsing. Some of the more common items can feel a bit overpriced, but it's also clear that some of what they sell is harder to find, so pricing likely reflects rarity on certain pieces. It's the kind of store where you're as much there to look around as you are to buy something. I ended up walking out with a cute Wolfman plush, so mission accomplished.
