Frederick Jewelers is the kind of family-owned business you wish existed everywhere, where honesty…read moreand craftsmanship truly go hand in hand. The owners are warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, with decades of experience that show in everything they do. Whether you're shopping for something special or bringing in a beloved piece for repair, they treat every item (and every customer) with genuine care. Any repairs I've had done here have been flawless. If you're tired of chain-store sparkle and want real old-fashioned quality and service, this is the gem of a place you're looking for.

This is a true "Mom and Pop" jewelry store. Now that phrase can be tricky if you had lousy parents,…read moreand might not sound appealing. But trust me, these two are the kind of parents you'd actually want running your life. They do everything in-house from repairs, sales, and being warm and friendly. Before they took over, the original "Pop" was at the bench, so you're basically getting decades of jewelry wisdom handed down like a family recipe. They're personable, honest, and so trustworthy that if they suddenly decided to open a mechanic shop, I'd hand them the keys to my vintage car without a second thought. They've got it all from new jewelry, antique gems, watches, you name it. And they'll do it all from fixing it, polishing it, or making it sparkle like new. They'll also buy your Grandma's gaudy gold bracelet if you're tired of keeping it in a shoe box under your bed along with the spider webs. Cash it in and have some play money. I used to be loyal to a jewelry store in Closter, NJ, but I took a daring cross-border adventure (don't worry, no politics here), to Nanuet, NY, and discovered this little "gem"(no pun intended). Best decision ever.

TRASH TRASH TRASH. I tried my best or give this 711 chances over and over again. Not only the…read moreworkers are rude as hell and expect me carry 383892 items me and the kids paid for when they have paper bags and don't offer it, but they're terrible with Uber eats and their 711 app. Maybe only 1 worker is nice and polite but everyone is garbage. They always cancel my 711 app orders often and for the order I just had now, one of the workers packed a opened Diet Coke, gave me a hotdog without the bun, and a opened wrong order item salsa with 1/10th salsa missing. Ridiculous. I called the store right away to complain and the guy on the phone said the guy who packed my order left not too long ago. So rude and f***ed up all around. Never again will I set my foot in this store. I will be coming to complain before I do that. Totally unacceptable service and behavior.

Since I started coming here in the early 1970's at the height of my misspent youth, absolutely nothing has changed... and that is not a compliment. It's just like I left it over two generations ago, weed strewn parking lot, harsh fluorescent lighting, the ancient whiff of bong resin, petrified breath mints and apparently, the same rotisserie hot dogs that have been waiting for Gerald Ford to drop by with the munchies. After all these years, this dump remains a Slurpee Gulag selling carbon dated Slim Jims and Peter Frampton air fresheners. While still a rip-off, the rest of the convenience industry has at least adapted to the retail realities of the not so new century. This Pearl River "icon" needs to do the same. Just wow.
