I tried to make an appointment with Dr Perri concerning a full body rash not resolved by steroid treatment from primary care physician. I knew there may be a problem when, after describing my symptoms, the person on the phone said she would need to check to see if Dr Perri would accept me as a patient. He wouldn't. This is without seeing the rash or hearing my history. I have never been turned down by a physician's office before. Their website states that they deal with rashes. I cannot recommend a physician who can dismiss a patient so nonchalantly. read more

I didn't even get to get an appointment. I called, the very rude receptionist and explained I needed an appointment to see Dr. Perri, A DERMATOLOGIST. She proceeds to ask me to describe my problem rash on legs and right forearm...she then places me on hold to "consult" with Dr. Perri. She comes back on and tells me he can't help me, because he only does moles. I asked what do you mean he only does moles? she said the most he could do would prescribe some meds or ointment...I said well, that's why I need to see him. I asked if he was a dermatologist because on his website it says...Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Also on the website it says Dermatological procedures.."Rashes and Eczema". Ironically he was referred to me by 3 different people I know well & not one of them have had him "check moles"! My father in law went in to have a skin cancer done, as a new patient. He has what appears to be a basal cell carcinoma on his forearm. This doctor spent less than 5 minutes, including taking a punch biopsy, without any local anesthesia, on an 84 year old man who is taking blood thinners. My wife, who was with them, asked the doctor as he immediately got up to leave, is that it? He says yes and leaves. No attempt to control the bleeding, did not put a dressing on the bleeding wound, did not give post operative instructions. This dermatologist did not look at any other skin lesions on a new patient. Fortunately, this poor patient's daughter is a nurse, who knew what to do and had supplies at home to take care of the actively bleeding post operative wound. I shudder to think how things might turn out if he did this to someone who did not happen to have a nurse driving them home. Do yourself a favor, drive to The Woodlands read more

I'm basing this off my visit to take my mom. Would not let me go in with my 86 year old mom. All wearing mask like there is still a pandemic. Which is ok if it makes them feel "safe". What I have a problem with is my mom checking in and an African American lady with a mask on sounding like she has peanut butter under the mask and my mom not understanding her and the lady raising her voice at my mom!! Dr. Perri and his staff are so nice! They are efficient and very productive. The whole process from check-in to leaving takes 15 minutes. I didn't wait long at all and he was in and out of the medical room in less that 2 minutes. He wore a medical mask and his team was great to verify DoB, reason for visit, fees and data. read more

Usually if I write a review it is to praise someone. I really feel strongly that I need to write about my experience. I had a doctor ask me to go see a dermatologist and get a body scan due to the potential for melenoma around my eye area.. I walked in and paid 200.00 for what I though would be a thorough check and the latest body scan machine.. Dr Perri wisked in with this disk LED flashlight looking thing, ( I swear I have seen these at Lowes to kep in your car) he ran it up my arms and down my legs, across the back of my shoulders and said, "all done you are good" and walked out. He was not even in the office 15 seconds. It was turly the strangest Dr. visit I have ever had and I am 64. If there was any type of supicouls mole or area he would not have seen it, he couldn't have. The speed at which he shine that light was dumbfounding. I have never been so angry about a doctors visit in my life as I was yesterday at Dr Perry's office! I took my 86 yr old mother who has Alzheimer's to see Dr Perry about the skin issues with her legs. He was in and out in less than 2 minutes and didn't introduce himself or look us in the face! It's a big deal to get a handicapped person to a doctors appointment and he showed no regulars for her. She noticed this too unbeknownst to me until we got home when she started screaming at me that he just wanted her money, it made for a very difficult evening! It took 3 months to get an appointment, I saw some guy who did not introduce himself it was not the Dr. In the picture. I told this guy where I knew there were spots I am a pro at finding them. Please do not go here. My skin was perfect for two years straight with the use of birth control and onexton cream. Due to being in college and the distance from my original dermatologist I could not get these prescriptions refilled. I began to have cystic hormonal acne. So, i found Perri Dermatology. The appointment lasted five minutes and two of those minutes were with the doctor. He did not give me time to explain my skin or anything about my situation. He then prescribed me a cream that i later found out is used to help rosacea NOT CYSTIC ACNE. I tried to trust the process but my skin never got better so now i've found better care and my skin is clearing. Terrible experience. The front desk is sitting there like a bunch of crows on a power line. Miserable. The assistant came to take me to the exam, vanilla, plain, zero personality, no interest in me. Goes to get Dr. he walks in like Spicoli, hey Bro attitude, looked at my scalp diagnosed and reached for his freeze gun before I even understood what he was telling me. I had been a patient of Dr. Perri almost from his first year and pleased until a couple years ago. I kept hearing people complain about feeling like a piece of cattle because they were rushed in and out so quickly. Then, I began to notice the same. Last summer I went in for an infected keratosis and he didn't even see it, telling me it was a cherry mole . This was while he was walking out the door . On the way home I got to thinking back on the visit and realized he couldn't have seen what I had gone in for so called the office, got his nurse who was very rude and condescending. She used medical terminology I did not understand and was irritated when I asked her to explain. She then put me on hold and said Dr. Perri "agreed " to see me again in 3 weeks ! I told them it couldn't wait that long and she hung up. I am sad to write this but have to agree, my last visit from the time I parked, waited, paid was "examined" and back to my car, I had spent a total of 9 minutes . Also, due to a cancer diagnosis from him I went back every 6 mos, and every other visit something was cut off and always came back negative. I wished I had read all the bad reviews about this doctor before going to his office, otherwise I would have never made an appointment to waste my time and money. Three minutes of talk if that long when he came in the exam room. 1.This spots because of your age - he can do nothing. 2. These ones if I fixed will comeback. 3. For this problem we don't have a laser machine. 4. You can't fix nothing? - Ok, if you want - he then used liquid nitrogen spray on my face on the two red spots, and basically ran away from the room without a single goodbye or is there anything else I can help you with. We received a bill for over $400 for this very poor service and so called professionalism . What he did to me, our family doctor could do for free when you ask. Being a doctors office and not having the equipment you need to treat areas of concern is not acceptable whatsoever. After my visit to this doctor I feel - ignored, old and used. I'm 71 and have had full body checks twice a year. Today Dr perri gave me a body check and I was in shock when he finished. It was the fastest exam I've ever had. It to less then a minute. my husband went to Dr Perri for a few years. he seldom said a word to us and was quick to leave the room. his suturing after a surgical procedure was horrible! his staff refused to let me go in the room with him, and I kept reminding them my husband is profoundly deaf. Still refused. I used my phone to call office manager. I reminded her of patients rights with disabilities and they had best let me in, which they finally did. Dr. Perri rushed me in and without and treated me with a freeze on two spots , one on my left arm and one on my right arm. In my opinion, the spot on my left arm should have been removed. This spot is not sore but the freeze method did not work. There is a sore spot on my right arm that needs to be tested to determine if benign or cancerous. Dr. Perri also treated this spot with a freezing process., to no avail. I will not use Dr. Perri AGAIN. Where do I even start. I was having issues on a hormone pill and went in to see if I could change to another pill. Dr Perri only stays in the room for less than 2 minutes and wouldn't even let me speak. He would not listen to my concerns and told me that I need to take it and he would not prescribe a different one. He is a joke. I have been going to Dr. Perri's office for about 3 years for general acne and we have the same routine: come to the office, pay for the office visit, get my blood drawn then the office sends an RX to my pharmacy. This happens twice a year. There is nothing exceptional about the location or the staff; I feel like I'm just a number when checking in or paying at the window.The staff does not smile and their tone is unfriendly. I'm really surprised since the waiting room is alway packed. Now to the experience that made me leave Dr. Perri for good. Two weeks before my next visit with Dr. Perry, I had an annual physical exam completed with my PC which included blood work for the same labs that Dr. Perri tests. I called Dr. Perri's office and told the staff that my blood work is fine (I'm willing to email the results from my PC) and that I needed an RX prescribed since I'm leaving the country for some time. They told me I have to come in and see the Dr. or they would not prescribe me antibiotics. So, I show up, and Dr. Perri said that it's acceptable to have blood work from another PC. I just spent $70 (HDHP) for him to tell me that, but couldn't agree over the phone. I literally came to the office to pay him to tell me this. That was all we talked about. Also, I have been on antibiotics for years, so I asked Dr. Perri if this would affect my immune system and he replied that the type of antibiotics I'm on do NOT compromise my immune system, which is incorrect, so I got a second opinion and my new dermatologist is much better. read more

I have never felt so rushed at a doctors appt. He didn't allow me to finish a sentence. He had no interest in hearing anything I had to say. He was in the room maybe 4 mins for a full body check, a biopsy and questions about 3 specific concerns. I had a biopsy by another doctor which came back positive. It is on my back so I can't see it. He quickly told me they must have gotten it all when they did the biopsy. It is still itching so I suspect it's still there. There is no way he could assess it that fast when he had no idea of the exact location. So, I ended up with a medication I have taken twice that didn't work (tried to tell him), a remaining Basel cell spot and no answers to my other questions. It felt like an assembly line. I liked the staff who we're friendly and efficient but the doc needs to reassess his priorities. Why are good doctors hard to find??? We lost our insurance and long-standing doctors because of Obama Care. Now we pay more for so much less. read more

Dr Perri is quick but does an outstanding job examining your body and answering your questions. Been going there for 3 years every 3 months and I am not changing. Yesterday I went into the practice with a Dermatology emergency, my fifteen-year-old daughter had an enormous hematoma on her finger, and they absolutely refused to see us. . It was truly an emergency, the hematoma was cutting off circulation to her finger, And without ever even taking a look at my daughter said they were too busy and couldn't get her in. I think that this practice lacks compassion OR are just plain lazy! We left the office went straight to the Woodlands Dermatology and from the moment that we walked into that office and got into a room with a doctor was less than 5 minutes. I called Dr. Perri's office 2 days ago as a new patient. I was having skin issues and wanted to seek a physician's advice. The receptionist was very rude and very dismissive. She asked me to describe my symptoms. Upon doing so, she said, "Dr. Perri does not treat vitiligo". I asked her if she just diagnosed my issue over the phone as a front office staff?! She then hung up on me. I called back to find out who this rude & inappropriate woman was. They pretended to not know what I was talking about. I ended up calling Dr. Stephen Mahoney (Dermatologist Specialist) who was able to see me the very next day. He was wonderful! I had a treatable condition (not vitiligo) & I am almost back to normal/perfect regarding my skin. I will never use Perri's office with such rude and unprofessional staff & service. read more

I had a referral of a NP from my doctor who was not available, she don't understood what I had but she charged me for 2 visits, shots, blood test... for finally gave me a referral. As soon as you pass the doctor office you are no more a person but you become a "patient" that happens in almost all the doctor offices. I waited in one of the several small room and saw for two minutes doctor Perri he asked his nurse assistant to prescribe steroid and said me "try that for one month if you don't have results i send you to a allergist?" he didn't his job checking my skin that I was expecting. These people don't practice medicine anymore they have some recipes for their "patients" and if the medication don't work for you they change it but you have to pay again, they are only moneymaker. My husband and I moved to The Woodlands 6 years ago. Our dermatologist in Austin was excellent, friendly, efficient and appreciated! Both of us have now seen Dr. Perri several times and we will not return. Last week I took my husband who is now in a nursing home. He has always had many moles and occasional cysts. Three years ago Dr. Perri diagnosed a precancerous cyst and referred us to a physician in Conroe for removal. Visits with Dr. Perri were always lightening quick, zero personality but efficient so I didn't complain. Last week I noticed the lack of concern for my husband who is now in a wheelchair. Attendant was brief, uninterested. Dr. Perri with his freeze gun was in and out in 2 minutes. It felt like a meat market, not a doctor's office. We will not return. And I'm still curious about why he has an office staff of 20 plus unsmiling ladies.
