I called at 10 and was seen at 11:45. I expressed I wanted a shave biopsy to see what it was. The office is beautiful. The check in process was efficient and easy. The service was very pleasant and professional. The medical assistant and PA were awesome. The biopsy was easy and after seeing the picture my girlfriend too I am very happy the PA too the entire thing off. They even saw my girlfriend the same day after she complained of some irritating lesions on her back. They froze them. It was a great experience. Most other dermatologists in the area had a six week wait.

I've never had a dermatologist office tell me they would only see me for 1 thing at a time of something this simple. In other words, if you come and you have to take PTO to be off work for the visit, you're going to have to do it for every issue. Not really liking the vibe in the office either. After suffering for many years with a stage III/IV capsular contracture, I was looking for a…read moreskilled surgeon to help me fix the problems and do everything possible to prevent reoccurrence. I had been to several surgeons in NYC, but hadn't found one that really clicked with me. I met Dr. McHugh's wife in NY and we instantly got along. When I mentioned that I was looking for a surgeon, she insisted that I send some pictures to her husband so he could do a remote diagnosis. After he looked at my pictures, he was able to determine what needed to be done and put together a plan that really made sense. He explained everything very carefully and answered all of my questions. I had forgotten the size of my old implants, so when I actually had my surgery, Dr. McHugh arranged for the implant company to be present in the operating room so they could use the right size - they must have had 20 different sizes right there - can't ask for better service than that! When I came out of surgery, his wife had even gone to the pharmacy and gotten all of my medication while I was still in the OR and given it to my husband so that we didn't need to find a local pharmacy. As an out of town patient, it really made me feel special and that I made the right choice in going all the way to Houston from NYC. As part of the followup, they set up a lymphatic massage which really helped with the swelling and pain the next day. They also provided special post-surgery support bras that are much more comfortable than a regular support or sports bra. Thanks to all of this extra effort and followups on Day 2 and Day 3, I was actually able to return to work after just five days of recovery! One of the best things I like about the whole experience was that Dr. Hugh partners with a local hospital for all the surgical procedures so that in case there are complications, you are already in the hospital and not stuck in an out patient facility needing an ambulance. The hospital also follows up separately and even called me several times after I got back to NY to see if I was doing ok. Both Dr. McHugh and the hospital staff are excellent and I highly recommend them to everyone!
