I had been to several surgeons in NYC, but hadn't found one that really clicked with me. I met Dr. McHugh's wife in NY and we instantly got along. When I mentioned that I was looking for a surgeon, she insisted that I send some pictures to her husband so he could do a remote diagnosis. After he looked at my pictures, he was able to determine what needed to be done and put together a plan that really made sense. He explained everything very carefully and answered all of my questions. I had forgotten the size of my old implants, so when I actually had my surgery, Dr. McHugh arranged for the implant company to be present in the operating room so they could use the right size - they must have had 20 different sizes right there - can't ask for better service than that! When I came out of surgery, his wife had even gone to the pharmacy and gotten all of my medication while I was still in the OR and given it to my husband so that we didn't need to find a local pharmacy. As an out of town patient, it really made me feel special and that I made the right choice in going all the way to Houston from NYC. As part of the followup, they set up a lymphatic massage which really helped with the swelling and pain the next day. They also provided special post-surgery support bras that are much more comfortable than a regular support or sports bra. Thanks to all of this extra effort and followups on Day 2 and Day 3, I was actually able to return to work after just five days of recovery! One of the best things I like about the whole experience was that Dr. Hugh partners with a local hospital for all the surgical procedures so that in case there are complications, you are already in the hospital and not stuck in an out patient facility needing an ambulance. The hospital also follows up separately and even called me several times after I got back to NY to see if I was doing ok. Both Dr. McHugh and the hospital staff are excellent and I highly recommend them to everyone!

When his nurse, Debbie, asked what I was hoping to have done, I showed her the two wrinkles between my eyebrows for Botox and then the 2 areas around my mouth for juviderm: I wanted the labial folds filled in and then a horizontal wrinkle along my chin line on either side. I've had these done before - one dose of Botox for eyebrow, one dose of Juviderm to fill out the wrinkles along chin line. Debbie proceeded to inject 2 doses of Botox in my forehead - missing the wrinkles between my brows. Then she injected 2 doses of Juviderm and told me I had to have another before I stopped her. $1,800 later, I have a forehead that looks like a Vulcan from Starship Enterprise. And I have noticeable bulges above my lip on the left side (she said the left needed more work) along with a fuller area on the left labial fold than the right side. I would never, ever go back to this place. They milk you for what they can. My feeling is that the staff is out to make extra bucks while the doctor is out. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!

Gabrielle's demeanor changed and was not interested in dealing with insurance. She took my insurance card just to appease me and said she would talk to Dr. Correa. I never received a phone call back about moving forward. They do not want to bother with insurance because it would have to be done at a hospital and not their in house facility using his wife as his anesthesiologist. My first phone call to set up the consultation, I mentioned insurance to their receptionist and she even said that insurance usually only pays for the removal portion. I finally called them after not hearing anything back from Gabrielle. The receptionist asked what I needed. When she came back on the phone she mentioned that insurance typically doesn't cover anything. I guess she was told what not to say! Gabrielle finally called me back only to tell me again that she would talk to Dr. Correa. Very unprofessional not to even call a patient back. I wasted weeks when she could have just been honest and told me we don't want to deal with insurance and we only want cash payments using our facility there. So simple! They are not concerned about patients who are in pain and need help. Gabrielle finally filed on my insurance but only one code was used and my insurance denied it.
