Even though the name of the business has changed (from Lillian Nails and Spa), the Asian person named Michelle, said she was the owner. I hope she is not there. The technicians are good at what they do, this review is specifically about the poor customer service (MICHELLE) toward my mother. Interesting how some businesses seem to get away from a 2.5 rating, by changing their name.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
LESS THAN ONE STAR IF POSSIBLE - May 19th, 2017 - My wheelchair bound Mother had an awful experience with the person named Michele. She has a very very very heavy accent, not very well dressed and has no problem speaking in front of customers that do not understand her. At 6:05pm, I called to see if I could bring my Mother for a manicure. I said if it is too late, please let me know and I can bring her tomorrow. The person on the phone asked if it was a manicure and pedicure. I stated only a manicure. The person then said yes, bring her in. Never asked for contact name or number. We arrived in 8 minutes. I had to bring her in with her wheelchair and pick a color for her nails. The attitude started right away from the person drinking her water and seemed more concerned about leaving before 7:00pm, sitting over in the corner. I help my mother pick a color and rolled her to the station. The young man was very nice and assisted me in getting her wheelchair situated at his work station. I asked how long and he said 30 minutes. I said I was going to stay in the shopping mall, not driving and I would be back. As I was leaving (at 6: 18pm) out the front door, the person shouted 15 minutes. I explained to the person that the technician said 30 minutes and asked which is it. The person shouted to the young man in a foreign language and then continued drinking the water. I left and went 2 doors down to GNC. I walked around and arrived back to the salon at 6:48pm. The attitude of the person was horrible. As I walked to get my mother, she had a scared look on her face. I asked the young man if everything was okay and he said she her nails were dry and ready to go. I rolled her to the front desk and the person had an extremely negative attitude. I asked to charge the amount asked to add a tip. Without looking me in the eye or having any kind of business/customer service skills, the person ran the card and slid the the paper for me to sign. As i signed the bill, I asked if I had done something wrong or offended her or was she upset with me. She never looked me in the eye, she mumbled that many people drop off and leave. I apologized several times, and the person had nothing to say. I asked what was wrong and no response. I stated the person has terrible customer service skills and I also added that if I should never bring my mother after 6:00pm, then the person should never have told me to bring her over the phone when I called. Again, never asked for our name or contact number. I asked her for her name, she mumbled something, so I asked again and she said Michele. I thanked her making me feel stupid and that she has poor customer service skills. She had no response and never looked at me as we exited the salon. I was upset for my mother and myself because the person has no customer service skills and has an awful attitude toward people. WHY is she allowed to work there? Is there a manager above this person that can reply to this post or understand that this person should NEVER be allowed to deal with customers, EVER. To follow-up, my mother told me in the car that the person went through her purse to find a contact number. My mother was scared and did not know what to do and could not understand the foreign words being spoken. I was finishing helping my mother into the car and putting her wheelchair in the back of the car and I saw the young man leaving and walking into the parking lot to get to his car. I apologized to him if I kept him past his allotted hours, but it was still only 6:58pm. He had stated earlier the salon is open until 7:00pm. While I was finishing up getting my mother settled, I saw the person come out of the salon at 7:04pm. She locked the salon door and preceded to go to her vehicle. LICENSE PLATE: BGF4634 in a not very well kept black truck. The important part is that she seemed that she felt is was okay for her to park in the very front spot of the salon. Blocking customers from parking closest to the door. Again, no customer service skills whats so ever. My mother likes the technicians, so I am stuck going back every few weeks to get her 1 of 2 affordable monthly events that she enjoys. Please know that this was a very horrible experience and that I am not sure what may have been taken from my mother's purse, if anything. Obviously, the technician knows how long it would take to do a manicure not the person who sits round drinking water. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED TO ALLOW A FRONT PERSON/OWNER TO TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS WITH SUCH DISREGARD. read more
