We recently bought an older home near the university with fabulous 60's mid century modern charm. Unfortunately all the electrical was from the 50's with no ground wires and only two prong outlets! Ken came to our rescue and found a creative solution to swap out all our outlets to the three prong standard so that everything is protected and ADHERES TO CURRENT CODE and he did it without having to rewire the entire house! The way I see it his knowledge and creativity saved us a boat load of money. I will be calling him again with all my future electrical needs and I'd encourage all my friends to do the same. read more

Ken is amazing! Quick, knowledgeable, polite and fast! I highly reccomend Anthem Electric!!!!

Ken is one of the best and loyal electricians around. I run a local restaurant and got the pleasure of meeting Ken and his wife. Anytime I have needed anything electrical done I can rely on Anthem to be there in a timely fashion. One of the best qualities is he cleans up after himself and the job is always done right the first time. Also his prices are amazing. I know I'm not getting ripped of when this humble human walks in my door! Welcome to Pocatello you already feel like family read more

Ken is an excellent electrician. We are repeat customers. His pricing is honest and fair. Always professional, gives additional insight and options for each project. Whether it's changing light switches, adding outlets, breakers to our panel, or a transfer switch. We would recommend him to anyone! read more

I had Ken come out to give me a quote on hooking up a generator. He was very friendly and shared a lot of knowledge about the electric system and generators. Unfortunately, he contacted me the next day and let me know he would not be able to give me a quote due to an increased work load from a contractor he worked with. I can't say about his cost or actual work, but he was very nice. read more

HONEST. EXCEPTIONAL. CLEAR. Those are all words to explain Ken at Anthem Electric. It's so rare for a person who provides services these days to exhibit those qualities. But Ken is one of the most honest people I've ever met. And in the future, I'll wait until he's available to perform any electrical service I may ever need, even if that means doing without for a while. In order to get our brand new dishwasher working, we had to hire a different company to fix our power to our new dishwasher. That electrician, without hesitating, told me we needed a new electrical panel, and that it needed to be upgraded from a 100amp panel to a 200amp panel. Cost? $5,850. And stressed that we needed to have it done RIGHT AWAY. Cut to Ken. Comes to the appointment exactly on time. Takes a look at our panel. Says that it looks great. That he sees nothing wrong with it. Proceeds to check the wires. He says that the only thing that we might want to do is change out two of the circuits, which appear to be the wrong type for our panel. He will see if he has any in his van. He does! Ken tells me a lot about how the panel works, why it would not be necessary to get a new panel, and why a 200amp panel would be excessive, unless we wanted to install a Tesla car charger (we don't have a Tesla). He tells me the type of panel we have is a very good panel and shows me what to look for in assessing whether we need a repair. Cost for Ken's services: $100. It is rare to find a person like Ken. I don't ever want to use anyone else again for anything that requires an electrician. He's competent, efficient, and honest. read more

Ken is such a professional. I had him to by my house and check out a busted outlet. He told me exactly what work needed to be done charged me for half an hour and made me a happy customer. This guy does honest work and does not BS around. I would like to highly recommend him again for any electrical work. Thanks Ken!! read more

I found the best electrician by using Yelp. My home in Pocatello was built in 1951 and I was concerned about the wiring, since only a few outlets were grounded. So I searched on Yelp.com and found Anthem Electric right here in my town. When I called the number, Ken answered within a few rings. After explaining my situation, Ken scheduled to come to my home in just two days. Ken also sent me a text to confirm my appointment and showed up right on time. Good communication and promptness are important to any business. Ken inspected my main electrical panel and eight outlets I had in question. Since these were not grounded and were on the same circuit, he replaced the breaker with a GFCI breaker he had in his truck. This gave me peace of mind. The price for his time and GFCI breaker was more than fair, so I asked if he could come back and ground two more outlets in another room. Again his price was very fair and I was pleased with the quality of his work. We are having both of our bathrooms remodeled soon and I let my contractor know I wanted Ken to do all the wiring. Ken is both personable and professional. As long as he's available, I will never use another electrician. read more

I have an amazing, old home from the 20's....along with that....old wiring outside. Ken was super helpful, responsive, and communicated clearly with us. We gave him our thoughts and what we were looking to do and needed (have to power livestock heaters in the winter and I already killed one outlet outside! lol) and he gave his professional feedback on how it should be approached. I now have new power run to my outbuildings and don't have to worry about my outside power supply. I look forward to having the interior of some of my outbuildings re-wired and at least have him take a look at the inside of my home and see what I will need there! Ken is an asset to the Pocatello area and super glad my dad found him! (Oh yeah, he did my dad's external shop wiring too! Top notch work there!) read more

Professional, Reliable, Excellent Service This review is long overdue but I just have to say Ken is awesome! He installed our EV JuiceBox when we first moved into our house. He showed up right on time to provide the estimate and next day it was installed! He even gave my husband some tips on our electrical panel to save some $$! A year later, we called him in a panic when there were issues with our AC continuously shorting out during a horrible heat wave... his schedule was fully booked but he was able to talk my husband through some troubleshooting and got us going until he could come out a week or so later to check things out. I was so appreciative because I was home with a newborn during that heat wave with no AC! We cannot recommend him enough! He truly knows his stuff! Thanks for everything Ken! read more

Kenneth was timely, communicate effectively and worked quickly. Definitely an electrician to try for your next project. I will

I contacted Ken regarding a tripped circuit in our home while we were using the cooktop and microwave. I was worried we would need to put in a new circuit, which would cost thousands of dollars. A few other companies had told me that was the only option... Ken and his son Caleb came to our home to diagnose the issue and within an hour of testing the load of the circuit, Ken recommended replacing the current 50 amp breaker with 60 amp breaker to see how it would perform. Total cost was $160. It's worked! I am so glad Ken and Caleb were patient with diagnosing the problem and thinking of smart solutions. I trust him as a person and I would gladly work with him again for future projects. Thanks Ken and Caleb! read more

I chose Anthem based on the Yelp reviews and happily they steered me right! Ken responded to my quote request very quickly and he was priced very reasonably. We needed Ken to replace some wiring behind a wall that got severed and burned out when we tried to install a TV wall mount. Long story, we shorted out the power to a few of the rooms in our house. Ken asked some questions to get a better understanding of the home and what had occurred, then got right to work. He was very customer-friendly and knowledgeable about all things electrical. He even added a new outlet dedicated to the wall mounted tv, which was pure genius! He made only one very small hole in the drywall and did a fantastic job putting it back. Made it easy to seal it up and repaint. We will definitely use Ken's services again and will recommend him to anyone needing a reliable electrician. read more

I don't reward 5 stars often. Anthem Electric deserves them for exceeding expectations. I wanted an outlet installed in my kitchen. Before getting in touch with Ken at Anthem, I contacted numerous electricians and all either declined the job or provided much pricier quotes. Ken impressed me with his outside-the-box problem solving skills and was thereby able to find a cheaper method of installing the outlet. Due to his high reviews, Ken was fully booked for more than a month! But I'm glad I waited. He arrived right on time, and after surveying my kitchen and the wall behind it, he was able to find yet an even better installation method. He truly has creative problem solving skills! Ken was friendly and communicative. And the quality of his work was clean and precise. I will immediately contact Ken for my next electrical project! read more

I chose Anthem Electric based on its reviews. Ken is upfront with his costs and extremely knowledgeable. He did an excellent job installing the refrigerator outlet and an EV charger in my garage and an outlet outside. When he had to cut into the drywall he did it in a way that caused the least amount of damage. And he even recommended Tommy, who does terrific drywall repair. I have alot of work to do in my new home and when I need more electrical work I will definitely call Ken again. read more

Ken did an awesome job installing my juiceBox EVSE or level 2 charging station in my garage. Extremely responsive throughout process from quote to completion. Also very professional, polite, punctual, and to boot... Price was extremely reasonable. He was less expensive than the 4 other electricians I called, cleaned up the job site, and left my boxes/manuals intact after installation. He also installed a motion detector light fixture for minimal extra cost. I was very impressed overall. Guess what? He followed up his work by asking me the next day if everything was working... What??! Will definitely be calling him for future electrical needs. Thanks Ken! read more

Definite 5-star business. We wanted an a light fixture installed over a dining table, where there was no light fixture. Ken impressed us with super-fast responses to our queries and by finding a cheaper and less invasive method of installing the fixture. Even though Ken was booked up this month, he still found time to schedule the pre-inspection and subsequent day of work. He was always very communicative, arrived on time, and was friendly throughout. His work was clean and precise. The next day, he came by with complementary bulbs because the ones we had purchased weren't ideal for the new dimmer switch he had installed. We will gladly contact Ken again for our next electrical project! read more

My wife bought a new car, and so I had Anthem out to install a charger for hers...I was super happy with the job they did for mine in 2015, and am equally happy with the one they did for hers this month! I really appreciate it when folks take the time to do things right. I continue to highly recommend Anthem Electric! read more

Great fast service. I texted for an appointment, they were booked out a couple weeks. But they had an opening come up suddenly, and came out the next morning. We walked the house to look at a few projects. I never felt like I was wasting their time and never felt any sales pressure. Obviously very experienced too. I can do a lot of things myself but power is NOT something I ** with. Thy knocked out the project right then. BTW - I see the tactic of other companies may be to ask for a yelp review - they never did. This is super-natural. Don't hesitate to choose Anthem. read more

Good, honest service done fast. Was glad to learn that they can work with me, as I'm in OKC and have been having to work remotely to help a friend whose rental property is in San Diego. I was very happy with Anthem Electric. Ken converted 15 of my 4-pin fluorescent can light fixtures to LED. I found him to be very responsive to my requests, primarily via text message, he showed up promptly as scheduled, did the job efficiently and left work areas clean when finished (protected areas with drop cloths when needed), was professional and courteous, and had very competitive pricing (less than half what another provider quoted me). He also followed up after the job to make sure I was satisfied. Also, when I changed my mind about a fixture after he installed it, he offered to redo it at no charge even though it was my choice and not a problem with his work. This is a one man shop, and you aren't paying higher prices for an answering service or an army of random electricians. You get Ken when you schedule an appointment. You get Ken when you call or make a request. If he's on another job he will generally get back to you promptly, but not always the second you call. I never had to wait long for a response and would rather have competitive pricing and reliable, quality work. I have more jobs coming up and I will call Anthem Electric to do the work. read more

I was all set up to have Anthem Electric rewire my entire house, when at the last minute, they bailed on me. I believe they bailed on me when I questioned them about their contract stating that the deposit would be 50% of the total price of the quote. The law states that the deposit must be 10% of the total price of the job or $1,000, whichever is less. They were asking me for a deposit of over $5,700. Ken also informed me that he has his son come and help from time to time, but his son is not covered under Anthem Electric's insurance which is also not ok. Ken and his wife seem like nice people, but what they're doing is definitely illegal. Consumers need to be aware of this and protect themselves accordingly. read more

I was looking for an electrician in Pocatello and noticed great reviews on Ken from anthem electric. I would also highly recommend! Ken fixed a bathroom light that kept flickering out, replaced a wall exhaust fan and helped me find the right parts needed. Called Ken again for another project and to replace some electrical outlets in a work shop and an oven power cord on an old oven I purchased off of Facebook marketplace. Everything works great! Needed a NEMA 14-50 box installed on each side of the garage for a Tesla. Ken from Anthem Electric did a great job with a nice clean installation. He connected the main panel into one box and routed the conduit for the other box over the garage ceiling with masterful conforming pipe bends (see the photos). Clearly labeled the panel breakers afterwards, and even pointed out a wall stud location to secure a hook for the charger cables. Thanks Ken! read more

I learned about Ken and Anthem Electrical through Yelp and Google Reviews. I had Ken install 20 recessed ceiling lights in my home in Poway. I can describe Ken in two words, "Totally Legit". Ken arrived on time and finished the job in one day as he promised. Watching Ken work, I could tell right away he was a perfectionist and a true professional. His price was very fair and his attitude was refreshing. In addition to installing those lights I asked Ken to give me a price on fixing a circuit problem in my kitchen where every time all the lights and microwave were on at the same time the circuit would break and I would have to go to the electrical panel to turn the switch back on. Other electricians had previously said I needed to rewire the kitchen at a cost of about $2,000. Ken suggested that I simply upgrade my kitchen lighting to LED which would lessen the electrical load. It worked! After replacing the old lighting with LED at a nominal cost of about $150 the problem went away. Thanks to Ken I now have beautiful new recessed lighting and I saved a lot of money with his insightful (and free) suggestions. If you use Ken you won't regret it. His reviews are real and he's someone you'll use time and time again. read more

We reached out to Anthem based on yelp reviews to provide a bid for making some changes to our garage electrical wiring to update it to suit our needs. We wanted a fixture removed from the ceiling and replaced with an outlet and a hardwired light installed with new switch by our garage door into our home. Ken came out and provided a quote for the work that was reasonable and we felt completely comfortable with his knowledge and proactive suggestions for new fixtures. Ken was awesome, on time, and the work is excellent. He planned his time for possible challenges and was done in half the time because there weren't any. We are thrilled with the end result and can't recommend him highly enough. Also, he's comfortable with dogs which is a must for our home. We'll be calling him for any future needs! read more

5 stars! An absolute all-around professional. I needed some work done on several lights that weren't functioning properly at my house. After doing some Yelp research I decided to go with Anthem/Ken. Within minutes of sending my initial inquiry, Ken reached out to me and passed me his schedule and I booked a time with him. His schedule was pretty full, but my project wasn't dire... so I scheduled a date a few weeks out. On the day of the appointment, Ken showed up early and tackled every single light problem I had with ease. He was courteous, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing. He even wore booties to keep my floors clean and picked up after himself. I was extremely impressed with the quality of his work and his attention to detail.
