Steve's positive attitude, problem‑solving skills, and willingness to work within our budget were extraordinary--qualities rarely found in customer service today. Our home presented several unique structural challenges, yet Steve approached each one with confidence and creativity. His crew was fast, professional, and patient, taking time to answer even our odd or off‑the‑wall questions. When an unexpected structural issue came up, they immediately worked together to find a safe, professional solution. Their teamwork and genuine care made us feel like family, not just customers. After installing our one‑of‑a‑kind air‑conditioning system, the team returned the next day to ensure everything was running at 100%. That level of follow‑through is exceptional on its own--but it didn't stop there. A week later, Steve called with news that truly amazed us. On his own initiative, he contacted the Rocky Mountain Power Wattsmart Program on our behalf, and we were approved for an incentive that helped offset the cost of the rewiring and installation. Who does that? It was an incredible act of service and integrity. Steve Winn and his team are, without question, #1 in Idaho. Their professionalism, kindness, and dedication made a difficult project feel manageable and even uplifting. Sincerely, Two grateful old folks from Shelley, Idaho David and Karen Petersen

In early November, I contacted this company to repair my gas fireplace--my primary heat…read moresource--before winter. A technician came out, serviced the unit, and identified the issue: a faulty blower. He provided a quote for the replacement, which I approved immediately. That's when the problems began. Ten days later, I called for an update and was told the part hadn't even been ordered. Another ten days later, I was informed the part wasn't available, but they could try retrofitting a similar one. When I asked if there were other options, they said no--so I agreed. On the scheduled day, I took time off work, only to receive a call 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive saying they could now order the correct part directly from the manufacturer--something they had previously claimed was impossible. To proceed, I had to pay in full immediately. Fast forward three months, and I still didn't have a working fireplace. For weeks, I was repeatedly told, "It should arrive next week." Finally, after expressing my frustration, I got a call at 5:00 PM saying they had located the part, expedited shipping, and could complete the repair the next day. I took another day off work. The technician arrived--but with the wrong part. Instead of tracking down the actual component, they gave him a universal one that didn't fit. They then assured me the correct part would arrive in two days. This time, my wife took the day off work. The technician showed up an hour and a half late (after I had called and reminded them we had rearranged our schedules for this), but they finally made the repair. Other issues worth noting: I was promised a callback from a manager or owner--still waiting on that. Their phone system is a mess. Every time I was placed on hold (which was often), someone else would pick up and begin a different conversation. I would explain who I was and they would say "oh, let me put you back on park." The three coldest months of winter without my primary heat source, multiple days off work, countless phone calls, and constant misinformation (what my generation would call lies). I will never use this company again.

Ken came out to inspect the unit and found that the motor wasn't bad; it had just seized. He was able to oil it and break it free from last winter's bondage. Even if it only lasted another season, it was well worth a second look from a trained observer like Ken. The cost for repair?... a service call. This is a company that is ethical, which means even though my unit is already at end-of-life, I'll be calling Ken at Air Exchange first when it's time for a whole new system! Thank you, Ken! And at that, thanks to the whole team at Air Exchange Tech! Referrals are coming your way!

I truly wish Brian was an option back when we had started building our house... without a doubt our system would have been installed correctly from the beginning. I have never met anyone who enjoys spending money fixing problems created by another... and that is why Brian and his team will be the only HVAC company I call in the future for all my HVAC service needs. It all started when our 30 year-old furnace bit the dust. We are the original owners of our house,…read moreand the furnace lasted this whole time -- 10 years over expectations!! Well, we decided to put a new Carrier furnace in since it had the same footprint. We went with Barlow's Aire Force One because we like to use our local businesses and they had been recommended to us. They did a great job!! Even though there was a bad part in the new furnace from the factory, they came out the next day and replaced it. Then when it still wouldn't work, they came out the following day as well.... That was 3 days in a row. They found a wiring problem that had been there from day 1 when the house was built!! The old style furnace had shown a problem, but we worked around it without knowing what the problem was. I was totally impressed that they were able to find the electrical problem since it was in such a hidden place. The new furnace had blown a fuse because of our old problem. With the fuse replacement and the fixed wiring, the furnace has worked now for 2 1/2 months without any problems. As part of the furnace installation, we had them put a coil in the furnace with the expectation to put air conditioning in our house. We had wired the house when it was built for air conditioning but had never completed it. This week, we had them come and complete the air conditioner installation with the compressor and connection to the new furnace. The air conditioner tested out great! During the whole process of both the furnace and the air conditioner installations, the whole team, from the owner, Wayne, to the installation crew, headed by Mark, and the secretaries were very knowledgeable and answered our questions, giving us the advice and direction we needed. They even gave us a "heads up" about price increases and we were able to "lock-in" the lower price. Thanks Aire Force One..... We felt "presidential" during the whole process.

Tells me that I don't have a warranty and it's $116 every time he comes out. Wait, what? I was never informed about this. And again for what? There is the consumer protection act, Barlow's was required to tell he about the fees, because I don't have a warranty,bi have the right to have any company come out. Which is exactly what would have done. Luckily I record everything, so I will fe filing complaints with the state, the BBB, and any other agencies that I can.
