Ken came to our rescue and found a creative solution to swap out all our outlets to the three prong standard so that everything is protected and ADHERES TO CURRENT CODE and he did it without having to rewire the entire house! The way I see it his knowledge and creativity saved us a boat load of money. I will be calling him again with all my future electrical needs and I'd encourage all my friends to do the same.

Good Job Sermon! We requested proposals from several…read moreelectrical companies for installation of a RV receptacle and a 20 amp receptacle and from those we selected Sermon to perform the project . They weren't the lowest cost but were close to my pencil estimate plus they were available to complete the project sooner rather than later. From arrival to look at what we needed done, providing a proposal, interfacing with the city permitting and inspection process, to completion of the work and communication with us; the Sermon personnel were very professional and efficient. The day the work was scheduled the two of them arrived between 8&9 as planned, they had the work well planned out, walked us through the planned work, efficiently completed the work with hardly any mess left behind, and 8 hours later walked us through the completed work. We turned the AC on in our trailer and voilà we can escape to air conditioned comfort in our trailer when it's super hot!!! They notified the city inspector that the installation was complete and this morning the city inspector inspected the work and approved it. Sermon provided us a copy of the city letter of notification for our records.

As for these parts markups, the prices I have been quoted were about the same or 10% more than me ordering it myself, so again, no huge markups from my experience. Our heat is currently out and they actually brought over some loaner space heaters because the part was 3 days out. The installed price for the part I need is only around $80 more than having it overnighted. Pretty honest prices in my cases.....

A technician came out, serviced the unit, and identified the issue: a faulty blower. He provided a quote for the replacement, which I approved immediately. That's when the problems began. Ten days later, I called for an update and was told the part hadn't even been ordered. Another ten days later, I was informed the part wasn't available, but they could try retrofitting a similar one. When I asked if there were other options, they said no--so I agreed. On the scheduled day, I took time off work, only to receive a call 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive saying they could now order the correct part directly from the manufacturer--something they had previously claimed was impossible. To proceed, I had to pay in full immediately. Fast forward three months, and I still didn't have a working fireplace. For weeks, I was repeatedly told, "It should arrive next week." Finally, after expressing my frustration, I got a call at 5:00 PM saying they had located the part, expedited shipping, and could complete the repair the next day. I took another day off work. The technician arrived--but with the wrong part. Instead of tracking down the actual component, they gave him a universal one that didn't fit. They then assured me the correct part would arrive in two days. This time, my wife took the day off work. The technician showed up an hour and a half late (after I had called and reminded them we had rearranged our schedules for this), but they finally made the repair. Other issues worth noting: I was promised a callback from a manager or owner--still waiting on that. Their phone system is a mess. Every time I was placed on hold (which was often), someone else would pick up and begin a different conversation. I would explain who I was and they would say "oh, let me put you back on park." The three coldest months of winter without my primary heat source, multiple days off work, countless phone calls, and constant misinformation (what my generation would call lies). I will never use this company again.

We discussed the job scope and obstacles involved and quickly arrived at an acceptable approach. Dwight worked alone the entire day without stopping (his partner was sick). He completed the project in one day (adding add'l circuits and outlets in my garage workshop) and the quality of his work was top notch excellent. But it wasn't…read moreuntil the 2nd or 3rd time that I realized a pattern that the individual or team would claim they didn't have a specific part during the job and have to leave for an hour or more to get it, and then I'd get charged for the extra time. This would seem reasonable except in all the cases I had them come out in advance to survey the job (simple stuff like installing light fixtures) or send pictures and do pre-calls to ensure there wouldn't be any issues like that - and yet it still happened. Only logical place to go is scam or a level of incompetence, and either way I've felt like I lost some trust with this company and am out an extra few hundred dollars :(

Hale Electric installed a solar system with a battery backup at my mom's home last year…read more Originally, the system appeared to work. However, during the first power outage we experienced, the backup system never kicked on. What followed was a months-long failure in customer service, characterized by unfulfilled commitments and a lack of technical expertise from Konnor. Reaching the company was nearly impossible. Calls went unanswered, messages were not returned, and scheduled appointments resulted in consistent no-shows. Over three separate visits, Konnor and Kevin failed to resolve our system issues. They provided a string of inconsistent excuses, ranging from "a button was never turned on", there was "a pinched wire", to blaming cold weather for the batteries not charging. We were explicitly told by Konnor that he was no longer certified to work on the specific system he installed, promising to return the following week after recertification--a promise he failed to keep. After months of frustration, we hired a different electrician who diagnosed and fixed the issue in one visit. The root cause was that Hale Electric never properly assigned or connected the backup system. It remains unclear if the service failures were due to deceptive business practices or sheer incompetence by Konnor. Regardless, the experience was unacceptable and we do not recommend Hale Electric to anyone.

They removed a number of pot lights and filled them with sheetrock. We had the family room ceiling lights moved, added a ceiling fan, a dining room light, replaced a basement pendant light and reworked ceiling wiring and switches. They were quick and clean and had amazing customer service. Their pricing was very reasonable as well and their free inspection/quote was very close to the final price. I definitely will be using them on other upcoming projects and would highly recommend them.
