This review is specifically about Nimesh, the acting manager, whose rude, humiliating, and completely unprofessional behavior ruined our family dining experience.
We had booked a reservation for 4 adults and 3 kids. Upon arrival, the hostess seated us in one of the round sofa sections along the wall. Shortly after, the acting manager, Nimesh, came to us and said that because we had kids, if they jumped on the sofa, it could damage the seating, and asked us to move to a different table.
That assumption itself was insulting, but we still chose not to make an issue out of it. We politely agreed and moved to the table he assigned to us. He then joined two tables together and seated us there.
We were already about 70-80% done with our meal when Nimesh came back to our table and told us that we needed to "scoot" and fit into one table because they needed the second table for other reservations. This was absolutely humiliating and unacceptable. We were in the middle of our meal with children, including a 5-month-old baby in a stroller, and were being treated like an inconvenience rather than paying customers.
When we asked why we were being asked to move again, his exact explanation was that we had called for a reservation for 8 people but were only 6 people, and that we had been sitting there for more than 2 hours, so they needed the table. First, we never made a reservation for 8 people. We had 4 adults and 3 kids. He even failed to count our 5-month-old baby in the stroller. Second, if the restaurant decided to join two tables for us when we were seated, that was their decision, not ours. You do not seat a family one way and then come back mid-meal to make them squeeze into less space because the restaurant suddenly got busy.
When we asked him why he joined two tables in the first place, his response was basically that they were not busy then, but they were busy now, so they needed the table back. That is not hospitality. That is poor planning, poor service, and terrible management.
We had to call the owner. The owner came to our table, listened to what happened, apologized, and even offered us a 10% discount. We politely declined the discount because this was not about money. We paid the bill without accepting any discount, and the bill is attached as proof. We also did not leave a tip because the way we were treated by Nimesh was completely unacceptable.
What made this even more concerning is that the owner himself acknowledged that Nimesh had recently done something similar with another customer, where he asked them to move from a table for another questionable reason. That tells me this was not an isolated mistake. This appears to be a pattern.
Nimesh is unfit for a customer-facing management role. His behavior was rude, disrespectful, embarrassing, and completely lacking in hospitality. He showed no judgment, no empathy, and no understanding of how to treat families or paying customers. A person with this kind of attitude should not be representing any restaurant in a management position.
To the owners: if you are reading this, please take this seriously. A restaurant can survive a bad day in the kitchen, but it cannot survive repeated disrespect toward customers. If multiple people are already complaining about the same manager, that is a major warning sign. Someone like Nimesh can cause serious damage to your business, your reputation, and your repeat customers.
We came in expecting a nice family meal. Instead, we left feeling humiliated, disrespected, and singled out. I would strongly caution families, especially those with young children, before dining here unless management addresses this issue properly. read more
