EDIT: I changed my review from 5 stars to 3 I made it clear…read morethat this was an emergency. Ram was very nice to talk to, but the problem is - I made it CRYSTAL CLEAR that we needed a second opinion THIS WEEKEND, before HOA comes back on Monday and seals up the walls. Ram made it sound like a plumber would be easily available, so I stopped looking for other plumbers to come out and give us that second opinion. Well, it's Sunday late afternoon, and when I called back, the person I spoke with this time said they're really booked up and Ram should NOT have given that expectation. This is so f-ed. If I had known they were not available, I would've had more realistic expectations and looked for other plumbers to come out instead. In the future, please give REALISTIC expectations even if it's negative. People build their schedules/planning around what you say! It would've been much more helpful if he straight up told me their schedule looks busy, so if I want someone for the weekend, I should try another company, because then I can actually work with that info. ************************************* Original review: We're dealing with a complicated water leak in a high rise condo and I have so many questions! Even without actually hiring them (yet?), RAM was patient and spoke with me for ages, answering all my questions. That alone is stellar customer service, as some of the other calls I made have felt a bit rushed (I don't blame them, everyone is busy and I'm not a customer yet). But his kindness and knowledgeable answers have given me a strong first impression of this company. I also appreciate the free estimate they offered. Plumbing issues are stressful, and it's nice to speak with someone who's professional, knowledgeable, and kind.

He inspected it thoroughly and determined that there was no issue - most likely some air in the pipes following the shutoffs and resulting plumbing work. On that basis, he didn't charge us for the inspection. I was also really impressed with the safety precautions the company took. Before our appointment window, they texted me a picture of Ryan so I could be sure of who I was letting into my home. They also checked whether we had any pets during the initial booking call, to avoid sending a plumber who might be allergic. These are fairly small things, but they did a lot for our peace of mind. All in all, we were impressed, and would happily call on Discount Plumbing again for future needs.

I was very disappointed with this company. I thought, incorrectly, that the would be cheaper than…read moreothers. First, they took two days to get back to me on a problem that was on-going (toilet would not stop running) When they did, they sent a techniciant (Lazlo) who was curt and tried to upsale me. For example : He said it would tak $600 to fix, and when I asked him how much to just replace the toilet, he said $1300. Money is tight, and he showed no empathy in that regard. He told me he would need to be paid immediately, rather than sending me an invoice. And he was not friendly, or particulary sympathic to the cost I may be facing. He said he had to pull out the toilet to repair it, and the labor of that and replacing it would be a lot of money. I let him go, and called Advanced plumbing. They were here in a matter of hours (vs the two day wait from Discount) , came and fixed the problem without pulling out the toilet, to a total charge of $300. I've learned over time that a lot of these guys are trying to scam you and run up the bill. My advice is to shop around, and certainly don't deal with a serviceman who is less than professional, trying to increase your spending, and generally gives you a bad impression. Obviously, Discount plumbine (a misnomer) is off my list.

Outstanding Experience with Fast Response Plumbing…read more I contacted seven different companies to get estimates for replacing my sewer line and house trap, and from the very first conversation with Tim, I had a great feeling about Fast Response Plumbing. After speaking with him and researching reviews on Yelp, it became clear that this is one of the top plumbing companies in San Francisco for this type of work. Not only were their prices competitive, but I also saved thousands of dollars compared to some of the other estimates I received. Customer feedback played a major role in my decision. While a few other companies on Yelp appeared to have similar ratings at first glance, a closer inspection revealed many reviews (sometimes hundreds) were filtered or removed and not counted. That raised concerns about the authenticity of their ratings. In contrast, Fast Response Plumbing's reviews appeared genuine and consistent, which gave me even more confidence in choosing them. I'm extremely happy with the results. Every aspect of the project exceeded my expectations: * Competitive and fair pricing * Excellent communication throughout the entire process * Smooth permit handling with no issues * Expert concrete restoration after the excavation work * Outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail One thing that particularly impressed me was that they installed a 5-inch sewer trap instead of simply replacing the existing 4-inch trap. That thoughtful upgrade will make any future servicing much easier and demonstrates their commitment to doing the job right rather than just meeting the minimum requirements. They also made payment easy by allowing online credit card payments, which was a nice convenience. Honestly, I struggle to think of anything they could have done better. From start to finish, the team was professional, responsive, skilled, and genuinely committed to delivering quality work. They went above and beyond every step of the way. If you're looking for a trustworthy plumbing company in San Francisco for sewer line or house trap replacement, I highly recommend Fast Response Plumbing. Thank you to Tim and the entire team for a job exceptionally well done!

Fast Response Plumbing did an incredible job with my sewer line repair in San Francisco. We decided…read moreto get a lot of bids for this project. Theirs came in at a very reasonable rate, and most importantly, they had capacity to start as soon as possible because we had an urgent sewer line failure. When I called, I believe I came into contact with the owner. I explained to him the scope of the job, and I even told him that he probably doesn't need to send a plumber out because, at this point, we are just comparing costs and I even hinted that we were desperate to get started as soon as possible based on what was told to us by the other plumbers that came out. The owner told me that he'd send a plumber out anyway to do their own scope, since other plumbers may have not been consistent, he could have very easily taken advantage of my desperation in this time, but he didn't David was the only plumber out of the many bids we got who actually called us out and showed us what was on the camera, and explained to us what was happening underneath our house. Within 24 hours, he got the quote back to us. Again, he knew it was an emergency, so the turnaround was great! He came out with a nicely staffed crew. Within a few days, our floor was jackhammered, there was a mound of dirt in our garage, and within the next few days, they connected our sewer line, so we were only without water for a few hours at most. The sewer line installation passed city inspection (SF) the first time. the dirt was quickly backfilled, with concrete poured on top. From a little over a week to the initial consultation, we had a perfectly working sewer line, and we were able to park in our driveway. they were very neat after they completed their job, and they even cleaned out our garage where all the backfill dirt was being stored. I highly recommend them for your sewer repairs, and they will be our new plumber going forward.

Jake arrived promptly at the scheduled window, shut off my water supply for me, replaced the part, and set expectations that I could possibly see the issue again because without going more invasive, it's not entirely possible to determine the root cause, which made sense for a plumbing issue.
