Arnold and his team was easy to work with, fast, reliable and built a beautiful staircase for our family. They took it in consideration that we had small children and got the job done very quickly to insure their safety. The staircase is absolutely beautiful and a statement peace in our home.

Arnold and his crew are simply amazing craftsman. If your thinking about modernizing your stairwell, there's only one call to make. I'm a GC and in the business for 40+ years, and the attention to detail by everyone of the guys was great. Good guys, great work, timely completion. Arnold was very helpful in the choices and decision making. We're very happy with everything from concept to completion. My wife and I, highly recommend ANS Stairs.

10 Stars if I could. Arnold and his team (Javier) did an excellent job and well exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Arnold for anyone looking for stair and railing work. Arnold was very timely all the time right from the quote all the way to finish. He was extremely reasonable in quote compared to all the quotes I had ever received. Amount of work needed was so huge there could easily be increase in quote during work but Arnold just did not bother to mention about small items he may have found here and there. We changed the design of post and balusters few times and he was fine. Clearly he puts customer above the profit.

Wood w/ round wrought iron balusters

Overall a great experience. They were quick to respond, I only wish they would text less and chat in person or via phone more, especially while getting consult/quote. It's just easier to ask all your questions through conversation. Aside from that, they answered all my questions, were ready for the job once I decided to proceed. It only took 2-3 days to complete , but quoted me 10-14 days, again, this may be due to only having text chats and not seeing job in person during the quote phase. Everyone was friendly, they had good spirits despite my many stairs to climb, and cleaned up after each day. I worked with the stainer to try and match as close as we could to my non wood floor. I am extremely happy with the results. Would definitely recommend.

I can't say enough about ANS stairs. We have a very old home and wanted to re-do the staircase. Sal was very professional and helped in determining how we'd curve it at the base. The guys who actually did the work were phenominal! They tore out the existing staircase, blocked off the rest of the house with plastic so we didn't have a saw dust mess all over. The finished product came out beautiful. BTW- I interviewed 3 other stair companies and was not impressed by any of them. Their deminor and attitude was just not up to the caliber of ANS. They are truly excited about helping you make something special in your home. We don't live near Tracy, so they used their travel time wisely and got the job done as efficiently as was possible. See my before and after pictures.... Would use them again and highly recommend them!

Thank you ANS. You came in consulted, paid attention to my request and details, demonstrated patience and completed the job within seven days. My stairs are stunning and truly complements the decor in my home. Sal, Arnold, Wilbur and entire team, thank you for your services.

Super happy with my new stairs! We had done the demo work, and reached out to a few stair renovation companies. We had to coordinate with 2 other companies to schedule bids... and ANS simply said - send pictures of what you have and what you want. Did that, got a quote a few days later. Best in price, and they were able to start the soonest. They kept within the timeline promised, and did excellent work! Check out my before and afters. We're holding off on the carpet until the upstairs bedrooms r done so we can tie it all in together..

Ask the Community - ANS Custom Stairs & Interior Finish

Are you able to do a stair skirt?

Outside skirts are easier accomplished if treads are being replaced. There is an outside return that passes the riser and the skirt needs to go under it.

What do you base your prices on stairs when they are being changed from wood to wrought iron? I have wood spindles on my bannister and I always wanted wrought iron bannister.

If we are not changing the color of your stair rail system, the process is pretty clean & quick. Provided your wood balusters (spindles) are 1 1/4” square at the bottom. 1 3/4” is too large to replace as iron is smaller (5/8” or 1/2” or 9/16”).…

I explained what the situation was with the bathroom which needed grab bars around the tub and shower . Sheila the office mgr was able to get me on the schedule for the next day even though they were very booked. the 2 person crew showed up to the house on time with all the materials needed to do the job. Although they had to drill through tile on one side of the shower to attach the bars the work was clean and precisely level and strong. Fantastic work done quickly at a reasonable price. On time, reliable and reasonably priced. Before starting the job we requested 4 quotes and although Elevated Development was not the cheapest, Sergey and his team took the time and did the homework before just throwing out a ballpark number. We had a budget and they worked with us and also gave us suggestions. A remodel can be overwhelming, but Sergey made the process easy and stress-free! Highly recommended giving them a call and we will for sure use them for future home upgrades. We hired Adval construction to repaint our kitchen, bathroom, and hallway linen cabinets. Our old…read morecabinets were dark and gloomy, and we wanted a refreshed look. While we are overall happy with the final product, there were some pros and cons along the way Pros: - Hiring Adval was a pretty seamless process. We requested a quote and within a week, Camila the consultant/designer came for an inspection of our area, measurement, and go over samples for a free quote - Since my husband and I didn't want to be around paint fumes, it took us a few months to schedule the project in tandem with a trip out of town. Adval respected that and didn't push; they simply had us let Debbie know when we were ready - While we were out of town, the painters Ana and Jeff were very respectful of our place. We had cameras setup for security, and they always cleaned up after themselves, turned off our lights, and ensured our doors were locked each day they were on site. They even helped bring in our trash bins after trash day! Cons: - Adval wasn't the most affordable in comparison to other quotes we received. However, we chose them anyway because their process and communication seemed the most thorough (in the beginning) - Since we had the work done while we were out of town, scheduling with the GC Pedro for repairs and touchups was a bit of a struggle as they were already busy with other projects - It was not made clear how EASILY new paint on the cabinets could get scratched and damaged. We had pre-existing rollout drawers in our bottom cabinets and they scratched the doors so quickly. In addition, some areas (drawer/cabinet edges and corners) have already chipped. We wish Camila elucidated this information to us when we were debating painting vs refacing and that Ana/Jeff/Pedro gave us care instructions for the new paint when they initially finished the project - There were a few doors that were clearly damaged prior to painting (corners were broken off/chipped but then the door was still painted over); Pedro ended up picking up these doors and they repaired them at their warhouse - It took about 2 months from the time we returned from our trip/initial paint completion to the final completion of the project (between scheduling, Pedro taking the damaged doors back to the warehouse to have repainted/repaired, and Ana/Jeff returning for reinstallation and final touch ups; the final reinstall was rescheduled on their end 3 times which was slightly annoying) - We changed our mind after initial completion from financing to paying the remaining balance in full. However, something must not have been communicated because the Synchrony account was activated and we didn't know until they charged us a late fee due to missing the first payment. We were able to get the late fee waived and ended up just paying off the balance through Synchrony. Again, annoying. Overall, even with the roller coaster of our simple project, the entire team at Adval was always respectful. They were quick to respond to my texts/calls and showed professionalism in their work. I appreciated that they were responsive and accountable. We are just disappointed in how fragile the final product is and we weren't properly informed.

We had existing design plans, and before we started the project, we interviewed several contractors and decided on HQR because their portfolio of past work and talks with Ronnie. We also chose HQR because we felt the pricing was fair and transparent, especially for this area (Danville/Blackhawk). Ronnie made sure we stayed on budget and estimated 12 weeks for the project, and if it had not for a delay with our windows we would have finished within that time frame. Once we started, Ronnie's crew was here every day and was always very friendly, hard working and thorough. Staying on track and having someone work on the project every day is valuable and not something one should take for granted when working with a general contractor. Maybe it was because we had an outside designer, but I had totally underestimated the amount of time that I needed to spend myself overseeing the project. There were some hiccups along the way, and some specific installations that required me to hire some sub-contractors myself. I can say though that whenever there was an issue, Ronnie did make sure that things were fixed right away to our satisfaction. Ultimately, we got our dream kitchen for the expected price within the promised time frame, and I am thankful for HQR and Ronnie for that.

Even his sub-contractors (workers, electricians, countertop stone pros, etc.) are just as skilled and reliable as he is. Oh... and his pricing is quite fair too! We are VERY happy customers.. not only with the final outcome, but with the entire process.... made possible & lead by CK Construction. We'll be hiring them again next year for our next project.
