Parking is limited and it can get packed. We left at 3 and the one lane road was difficult to maneuver with cars trying to go in and out. The river water was perfect. It's not clear, but it sure was refreshing. The river is shallow. Nice to sit on a tube or in a chair. They offer tubing, but I didn't try it. In the area we were at, there were a few ropes kids were jumping off from. Shade is limited.

It was our first time visiting, and Tina and Karen went above and beyond for us more than once. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The campground is exceptionally clean, and you can tell they've put a lot of thought into every detail. There are so many little touches throughout the property that make your stay more comfortable--things most campgrounds simply don't think of. Those small details really set this place apart. I probably called the office well over 20 times with random questions while we were there, and although I felt a little needy, they never once made me feel like I was bothering them. The summer heat had them smelling a little funky, but I'm not sure what can be done to fix that. The staff was friendly. The school bus ride back to the starting point after the float was nostalgic. For a moment, it took me back to feeling like we were on a school field trip. We definitely see ourselves coming back but at least bringing our own floats for our coolers to cut down on the expense. We had a large group with 2 coolers so it was $50 just to bring our coolers along.

I'm not sure if I'll be back to this location just because this particular section was so rocky. Overall, it was fun, but definitely bring some extra money and be prepared for a rocky ride!
