We decided to stop at Another Broken Egg for breakfast after attending a show at Ruoff. I arrived with a party of four and used the "hold your place in line" feature. Despite this, we waited an additional 14 minutes beyond the estimated time--even though we counted at least six open tables. After waiting a total of 10 minutes, we had to approach the hostess stand again to be seated, which was surprising considering there were three to four staff members standing there the entire time. We were eventually seated by a friendly young woman who informed us that Taylor would be our server. Ten minutes later, Taylor approached carrying four waters but stopped at the neighboring table first, leaving one of our waters with them by because they were shorted a water. He then greeted us and said he'd be right back with a fourth water, asking if we'd like to start with drinks. Since we had already been there for over 20 minutes, we let him know we were ready to order. We placed our order: * 2 Hashbrown Benedicts (one with potatoes, one with buttermilk pancakes) * 2 Supreme Omelets (both without onions and mushrooms--one with no potatoes and an English muffin, the other with just an English muffin) * A side of biscuits and gravy * A half order of biscuit beignets * 3 Bloody Marys * 3 coffees It took over 15 minutes to receive the Bloody Marys, with the coffees arriving about 5 minutes after that. The fourth water never came. The beignets arrived 5 minutes later, and the rest of the food followed about 10 minutes after that. The beignets were incredible--easily a highlight of the meal! The Hashbrown Benedicts, Bloody Marys, and coffees were also very good. However, we were not offered refills on either coffee or water. Unfortunately, one of the Supreme Omelets came with onions, mushrooms, and potatoes--despite our request to exclude all three. The other was served with an extra English muffin. We informed the food runner, who seemed confused, and mentioned it again to Taylor when he stopped by shortly after. The other two meals were prepared correctly. Nearly 10 minutes later, as we were finishing our meals, we had to flag down another server to ask for a manager and to-go containers since Taylor was nowhere to be found. Both Taylor and the manager arrived with a remade omelet. However, the manager began explaining how unusually busy they were, said we wouldn't be charged for the incorrect meal, and quickly walked away without checking on anything else. We still had to ask again for to-go containers. Taylor returned with one container, so we had to request another container a third time and also asked for our checks. The checks were split--but split completely incorrectly. After nearly two hours and multiple service issues, we decided to sort out the cost differences ourselves. If we were rating the food alone, it would have been 4 stars--5 for the beignets. However, due to the consistently poor service throughout the entire experience, we would not return.

No breakfast is complete without eggs:)

Fantastic place for a delicious breakfast! The cappuccino was amazing, just what I needed to wake me up! Extensive variety of eggs to choose from. The server was warm and friendly. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, great conversation! She treated us to a sweet treat on the house! Ofcourse that made our day:) Considering a weekend it was not too crowded, I find that peaceful at times! This morning was just what I felt like doing, keeping my mind to rest. We overloaded ourselves with mini bite size potatoes! Located in the heart of Purdue University this lively Cafe had a constant flow of students!

Great place for brunch when at Purdue! Easy parking, warm settings, Nice food and coffee. Great service as well! Even though got an order wrong but it was quickly fixed. Not an issue at all.

The ambiance was nice, the food looked better than it tasted. The service was ok but overall not enough to get more than 3 stars.

It's a wonderful place! We had to wait 45 minutes for our table, but it was 100% worth it! I had the hashbrown benedict and city grits. It was perfect! My husband had the crab benedict and loved the andouille hollandaise sauce. The coffee was the best we have had in Indiana. (we are from Oregon and love good coffee) The staff was amazing! They were friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Stop here every time we visit our son at Purdue. Excellent quality on all selections!

Our family stopped in for a Monday morning breakfast during Purdue's orientation week. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. I had the Blueberry-Lemon pancakes which were very good. I liked the combination of sweet and tart. My wife loved her Eggs Benedict We had plenty to eat. The restaurant is located on the bottom floor of what seems to be a Purdue engineering building. There is parking in the back which is nice. The restaurant was much bigger than it looked. We were in a back room, closer to the kitchen. There is a bar area, and outdoor seating. We will be visiting again when we are in West Lafayette.

This place is right by Purdue's campus and I'm happy I chose to dine here. The food was very fresh and tasty! I orders the two eggs with the choice of sausage for my protein. I added all watermelon instead of toast. They service was decent, I'll give it 80/100. But the food was definitely 100/100. The portions were just right! It was a Friday so it was a 30 minute wait, but it went pretty fast. They get pretty busy and close at 2pm so it's best to go early. The ambiance was nice by the bar area and the near the front dining area. It was busy so we set towards the back so no really good things to look at or windows to look out. However, we were on limited time so it didn't matter much. The parking was not that bad either. Its parking right behind the building! When I come back to Indiana again, I will definitely try this spot again.

Visited on a Wednesday morning at 0700 as they were opening. The four of us were the first patrons and we were seated promptly. The food was fantastic as was our mimosa pitcher. They have multiple mimosa options as well as Bloody Marys. It is on the more expensive side so it does not attract most college students. As we sat, it was mainly faculty and staff age patrons coming in. The restaurant did, however, have a busy crowd by the time we left. Oh! First time guests are treated to complimentary beignets (so). The little fried donut things with powdered sugar were great. I will come back for Bloody Marys some morning. I live in the opposite side of town but it is worth the drive.

Veggie Delight Omelette

Wow, the wait. All of Purdue must have wanted breakfast/brunch here today. Checked in on Yelp and still had a 40 min wait for a table for 4. Yes, the food is good, but like others have said, the service is super slow. I think they try to appease the hangry people with a complimentary plate full of beignets while the chef cooks up our orders in the kitchen. (This is for first time visitors) We had crab cake Bennys, which were good, crabby, but the English muffin could have been toasted a tad more. The eggs were not runny, I feel the waitress might have been overworked and didn't get a chance to check on the food and all the food sat under the heat lamps for a little longer than expected. The veggie omelette was flavorful because of the goat cheese, but seemed lacking in veggies. The other two entries looked decent, but the small in portions. If I were to return, I would NOT come on a weekend.

We were celebrating our anniversary so it was a special night for us. Our waitress was super but stretched thin so she wasn't as attentive as she probably was on another night. This is a very upscale place. Decor and service reflect that. Good old fashioned steakhouse vibe. Oysters Rockafeller were perfect. Bread was fresh and absolutely delicious. He had American Wagyu Ribeye. I had Steak Oscar. Both were cooked appropriately. Maybe slightly under seasoned as we both added salt which is not typical for us. The Old Fashioned was really good and they had a wide selection of wine/beer and a handful of specialty cocktails. Our 2nd round of drinks was comped due to slow service at the bar and dessert was on the house for our anniversary which we really appreciated. We will definitely go back and try other things on the menu. Our steaks were good but I wouldn't say they were worth the price. $110 for his and $80ish for my Oscar. It was a filet with truffled hollandaise sauce and a scant amount of King Crab. They no longer serve King Crab due to the cost. Strange. If we would pay $110 for a steak why wouldn't we pay for King Crab due but that was a minor detail. I wouldn't say have preferred more crab...give me snow crab. The dessert was delightful. Baked Alaska served table side with plenty of rum. Thank you for making us feel valued and special!

(e.g. the scallop dish had exactly 3 scallops for what you're paying.) Prices on the menu have also gone up since other Yelper pics of the menu. The bread and butter was delicious. There is a lot of it, so I asked to box up the leftover bread and butter. The waiter took it but definitely did not box up the same amount of bread that I left behind. I only received a fraction of what I expected to be boxed up. The butter was flat out discarded. I would have just boxed it up myself had I known that they'd make sure it would go to waste. Not sure what happened to my actual leftover bread. The waiter was telling me all about the desserts and really played up the baked Alaska. It sounded great and I had my heart set on it after hearing all about how awesome it was and then he came back and said they ran out. It would have been more efficient to check up on inventory before talking up the different menu items.

Sadly the…read moremenu has wildly bloated numbers double what many similar restaurants offer, Town and Gown, Bistro 501, RedSeven deliver and reach above expectations unlike the dull expensive dry roast recently eaten this past week. I cannot comprehend this place, after four visits with friends, unable to recommend any dish or drink as a standout win up against the cost. Let me nail down each dish we had this past Wednesday, the grilled bacon was entirely fine, quite tough but nice fatty flavors, I like Teay's River candied bacon app better. Oyster was good, east coast briny does me right. Our Old Fashioneds were insanely expensive without offering any memorable flavors, balance seemed restrained neither giving a forward bite or a smooth sweetness. Strawberry Lemon sprits was similar, an overpriced kid's slushy. Asparagus was fine. Potato sides surprisingly flavorless, we all couldn't believe how dull the potatoes were. My sister's salmon looked half the size of Town and Gown's while costing fifty percent more and offering half the food. She did finish the ocean protein but left most of the rice. Thankfully the desserts were better, bread pudding somewhat dry and needing a sparkle of that smooth actual pudding but the winner was definitely the key lime. Rich and dense, dreamy and tangy, I got happy! Sure the atmosphere and staff is enjoyable, providing some fresh city vibes compared to the homely and old school Mountain Jacks. However Jacks and Mcgraws Steakhouse both do far better as culinary is concerned. Would be exciting to see this place fix up their inconsistency, out of touch pricing, or they'll be the next to go the way of Bowen Bistro during the next economic crash.

The space looks great, it's clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly. Service was very fast, even with multiple large groups in the room. Noise was completely reasonable. If anything, it may feel "a little loud" to someone whose baseline is the quieter side of the Lafayette-area dining scene, but compared to bigger-city restaurants it was fully fine and well within what I'd expect. Overall, The Bryant would fit right in in a market like Oklahoma City, Dallas, New York, or Pittsburgh and wouldn't feel out of place at all. Highly recommended.

I thought I was underdressed, but the dress code seems pretty casual. Water was served in a cold milk bottle. I could not decide what to order; everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious. The menu described the items well, and when I asked the wait staff for their preference or any recommendations, she told me five different favorite items that are often ordered, which was nice, but was not what I asked. I finally decided on the strawberry-and-brie cheeseburger. I ordered it medium well with fries. I was really disappointed in the French fries; they tasted old and cold, and when I cut into the hamburger, it was bloody. I sent the burger back, and this time they brought it out well done. The staff argued that it was medium well, with blood coming out of it. And before anybody thinks I'm confusing the strawberry jam on the burger with bloody pink meat, please see the picture. Upon receiving the new burger, which was cooked well done, I found it to be very good. It was tasty and juicy. As I was finishing my meal, a young family came in, and their child was making a lot of noise. A gentleman told them that if the child did not calm down, they would have to go outside. When the family tried to speak with the gentleman further, he continued walking away and did not stop to answer questions. I was not sitting close to this table, and yet I heard the gentleman talking to the young couple. Had I not already received my food and been getting ready to leave, I would have gotten up and gone with the couple in support. I understand setting standards, especially when the restaurant is bustling, but at this point, as a server, I could only observe two other tables in the entire restaurant, and one of them was preparing to leave. If I ever returned to this area, this restaurant would not be one I would return to.
