Great service, the Sage house made sausage is my favorite. Pancakes are big, light and fluffy

It is quite a busy location, which is understandable for not only a Sunday, but for a holiday. I loved that I could get on the waitlist from the Yelp app, but I was disappointed that once I checked in with the hostess and waited a while, I was messaged a false "Your table is now ready." The host confirmed it was a mistake and we continued to wait. First and foremost, those beignets!!!! They're to die for even at this location! To top it off, I received a free order of them with the check-in I was going to make anyways. All of the food was delicious, of course, but I was a little disappointed that the chicken strips that accompany the waffle were different from the Shenandoah location. It was still tasty (according to those that got the dish) but I was expecting a little consistency. On the other hand, the grits at the Pearland location are better than Shenandoah. All in all, this place still remains a favorite! read more

Yep, I have to agree with everyone else . This place is really, good. I ordered the Hey Lucy which was delicious and I also tried the crab cake benedict. Both meals where a good portion and both were really good. I had the city grits, I personally feel it tasted funny, more like a baked potato then grits. I tried the peach cobbler pancakes. I didn't like the granola but again that's personal preference. Overall, really good, but the wait is too long for me. I will try again once this place has been around for awhile or maybe on a weekday. read more

This is one of my favorite Brunch restaurants. Just be prepared to wait. Besides that, the food is outstanding and the staff is friendly.

Would not recommend food was badly cooked and the fruits are slimy and not fresh did not have a good time would recommend I hop instead

So I come weekly and always sit in Michael's section. He is great knows my order and always goes above and beyond. The food is always great. Today he wasn't available we got sat in another section and our food came out wildly fast. Sadly the eggs Benedict was riddled with eggshell not just little pieces but HUGE chunks of egg shell the whole thing was inedible. I told our waiter he apologized but that was it. Then charged us full price. Very disappointing. read more

Good tasty breakfast to choose from and the strawberry mimosas were sooooo delicious!!

Good is amazing! And most of the servers I've had there are very nice and professional. Only downside is the wait is usually extremely long especially during the weekends. read more

My wife and I arrived a few minutes after noon on Sunday. We waited for about 10 minutes for a table. When we sat down I checked in on Yelp, we ordered, then we waited 37 minutes for our food. I ordered Blueberry pancakes with a side of Andouille sausage. Before I ordered I asked about the sausage because $3.49 seemed a little high to me. Our server said it was two links and that seemed reasonable. You can see from my photo it was actually one link split into two pieces. The pancakes were blueberry-less, but I waited so long for them I dared not send them back and have another lengthy wait. The sausage was good but very greasy. Maybe this place was just having a bad day, it for sure was a bad day for me. read more

Great place for brunch! They are always busy so make sure to get in line online or call to reserve your spot. Staff is friendly, food is good. They have decent coffee and mimosas. My go to spot for Benedict's. read more

The wait was a bit long even with using Yelp waitlist. But we'll worth it. The service was ok but the food was excellent. With a member of our group with Celiac it had a good selection of Gluten Free options. GF pancakes are excellent. read more

Ridiculous. Order a simple skinny omelette with a side of pancakes and it's $23?! No thanks

Plenty of breakfast/brunch places have popped up over the last couple of years but this is still my favorite. The food and drinks are both great. The seasonal rotation of items is nice. Get there early in weekends because it gets stupid busy. read more

I've visited ABEC once and got hooked with those City Grits!! This is my fourth visit, I've gotten spoiled with just order the food to go and enjoying it in a different atmosphere. No matter the time you will have a wait, but it's not too bad the food makes up for the time waited. The menu options are amazing and plentiful. The biscuit beignets are too legit, baby let me tell you! I may send in an order tomorrow for breakfast/brunch. read more

My wife and I came here with some friends from out of town who were staying in the Pearland area. Overall, the food was good. I had the Hey Lucy Omelette and my wife had the Sunrise Spinach Omelette. The chorizo in my omelette was flavorful and the breakfast potatoes has the right amount of crunch, while still being soft and seasoned well. I added jalapenos to my omelette and that gave it some more heat which I enjoyed. Overall, the food was filling and satisfying. We would go back again if we are in the Pearland area. FYI- They get packed so be prepared to wait if you have more than 4 people to your party. read more

There is a long wait to get it, but luckily we had checked in online. The atmosphere seems great and our waitress was awesome! My husband and I ordered the chicken and waffles, but sadly the chicken was very dry and plain. The waffle was good though. Along with our order we had a side potatoes and vanilla iced coffee. The potatoes lacked flavor and bit over cooked , and the vanilla iced coffee tasted a lot like chocolate milk. I'm very dissatisfied for my first experience. read more

I'm so happy they opened a location close enough to me! I've visited this chain restaurant in Destin, Fl and loved it. Did I mention that breakfast is my favorite meal?! If I had to compare it to another breakfast/brunch restaurant, it's a cross between a LePeep and Ihop. Prices are comparable to other similar establishments. I stopped in on Saturday about 1:15P.M. and hey were closing at 2P.M. with no wait time. The hostess told me they just opened that Monday. I was ready to have a delay in time due to new staff. Thus, I was no surprise when the food came out at 30-40 minutes later. Food was good and server was friendly. I will come back but at a different time, day of the week or after a couple of months (to let the staff workout any issues with getting food out quicker). read more

My first Yelp Review! Let me start off by saying I'm not from the area. On vacation visiting family and one of my cousins recommended this place. I was excited because the reviews I read were mostly positive, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We went on a Wednesday at a little before noon. It's worth noting that we were a party of 8, so there was about a 20 minute wait, but we didn't mind that. It gave everyone time to look through the menu while we were waiting so everyone was ready to order as soon as we were seated. For drinks, we ordered a pitcher of mimosa. Very refreshing! Serves about 4-5 full glasses. They had a variety of brunch alcoholic drinks on the menu, and many other choices for the younger crowd. Anyone that didn't have a mimosa ordered a coffee and said it tasted good and fresh. For food, I ordered the crab cake eggs benedict. That came with a side of Texas style fries and I ordered a side of bacon with it. The Benedict was very tasty! It was two crab cakes served on top of of English muffins. The bacon was also cooked very nicely. Just crispy enough to get that crunch but still juicy and nowhere near burnt. Also if you check in using Yelp, you get a free order of beignets! Comes with 8 of them. They are biscuit beignets, powdered on top served with some sort of marmalade. I wish I knew what flavor the marmalade was, but I forgot to ask. It tasted like sweet orange if I had to guess, but regardless the beignets were nice and fluffy and the sauce made it even better. Overall, the entire experience was great. The server was great. The food came out pretty quickly. Drinks and food all tasted good. All for a reasonable price. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back next time I come around to the Houston area. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe (ABEC) has the potential to become one of the best restaurants in Pearland and the number one breakfast/brunch spot. However, as a new restaurant, they have quite a bit of work on the service side to match the quality of the food. We came in on a Saturday at 12:15 and there was a wait. We were quoted 15-20 minutes which turned out to be 35 minutes. Once we were finally seated, it took over an hour for our food to come out. ABEC simply can't handle the traffic at the moment. Whether it's the cooks, servers, or management who really knows. A steady stream of mistakes were made on the service side. While our waitress was nice and it definitely was busy, here are the knocks on the service side. Never brought me straws for my water and juice. Brought out our appetizer with our entrees. My dining partner asked for her crab on the side but they put it on top of the eggs so they had to redo her order, further increasing the weight. She substituted mediterranean potatoes for the country style potatoes and we were given country style potatoes. Took quite a while to take care of our bill. We ended up spending three hours at brunch which was way too long. Service is the area where big improvements have to be made with time. The menu on the other hand is very interesting and I really enjoyed my food. We had a free order of the biscuit beignets which join the likes of the cronut as an epic invention. The combination of biscuit and beignets reduces the sweetness factor so, along with the powdered sugar, I enjoyed it more than real beignets. Good portion size and you get a orange jelly dipping sauce. I also had the lobster and brie omelette which was another fantastic item. Take an omelette, fill it with cream cheese, brie, lobster, and top with diced tomatoes and green onions. Served with an English muffin and country style potatoes. I was also intrigued by the cinnamon roll French toast so that will be what I try when I return. I'm going to wait six months or so, however, so hopefully the service has improved by that point. read more

My family and I came in on Saturday, 5/14 for their soft opening. I had made a reservation, but there was still about a 15-20 minute wait. The line was practically out the door. I suppose that was a good sign? We were patient because we knew that they would be working out the kinks and that it was for a good cause. When we finally got seated, we were told we could only order two appetizers for the table, so we ordered the Biscuit Beignets and the Baked Brie Delight. We weren't disappointed! The beignets were fresh and crispy, and enough for the 5 of us to each try at least 1-2. The brie was also excellent. The mixture of the apples, pecans and raisins in the Grand Marnier sauce paired well with the cheese, and the little toasts gave a nice crunch. The delicious coffee came in cute, colorful, country-crock type mugs with "Another Broken Egg Cafe Pearland, Texas" on them. I hope they sell them in the future because I would love one! They would make a cute gift or souvenir. Our server, Tristan, was very polite, prompt and attentive and she and all of the other servers made sure our drinks were always topped off and our various needs were met. I ordered the Southwest Scramble which consisted of scrambled eggs, breakfast chorizo, onions, diced tomatoes & green chilies with Cheddar-Jack, guacamole, salsa & flour tortillas. It came with seasoned country potatoes. The other members of my family had the Smoked Salmon Benny, the Benedict Oscar, the Crabcakes Cavallo, and the Hey Lucy!!! We were all satisfied and enjoyed our respective meals. For a sweet finish, we all shared one of the cinnamon rolls. It was sweet, gooey and yummy. Even though we waited a while for our table, it was worth the wait. It will be interesting to see when the place is fully operational and the bar will open. We have all missed Mimi's and the ability to have a nice Mimosa with breakfast. This place is a welcome addition to the brunch scene in the area. The decor is cozy, inviting and comfortable. We'll definitely be back! Pro Tip: If you sign up for the e-mail list, you'll receive a free order of Biscuit Beignets on your next visit! read more

Saturday's this place is packed and I can tell why....they really do have a very good menu and friendly staff. My 45 minutes waited actually turned out to be 20 minutes what was plus for me. Tristen my server was kind, attentive and prompt with her service. Everything I order was very tasty...though the latte could have had a little bit less foam. I love the city grits and the salmon benedict was also very tasty...though I think I would rather have it on an English muffin rather than a bagel....a lighter bread. The benedict is accompanied by a generous amount of seasoned country potatoes. read more

Consistently good service and food. We go here often for brunch and love the regular menu as well as the seasonal offerings!

To think I lived so close for almost 2 years and I never knew about this hidden gem. I didn't like the interior of the restaurant but I really enjoyed the food, I had the cinnamon roll something and it was just loaded with flavor. I also had the pomegranate mule which rocked my world . If you're looking for a brunch place in pearland wake up early and head on over ! You won't regret it! read more

Went here for breakfast today and was pleasantly surprised as to what we received. The wait was said to be 15 min but we were in our seat with drinks in front of us within 7. Walk-in and nobody greets us. Male manager in red shirt is chatting with an employee behind the bar and cannot acknowledge customers. The customer service is horrible my lobster grits was made incorrectly the first time with way to much sauce and my bacon and extra lobster brought out on the side even though I ordered it with extra lobster when I placed my order! The manager had it remade and then there was almost no sauce. The food is inconsistent. I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of runny grits and I think some of this was on my waiter that didn't write my order down and assumed I was against pork when I just asked for the dish with no sausage. I was given a 2.70 discount for this smh! I won't be back here after coming every two weeks for the past 6 month's read more

I was really expecting more from this place because of what I've heard but I was disappointed. First off we had a party of four, three of us was there and the other person was getting out of her car. The hostess sat the three of us at a 4 seat table. She said, I'm not supposed to seat you without the entire party, just order a drink for the other person and they (the restaurant) will be ok with that. I said so do y'all have a table designed just for three??? I totally understand when restaurants don't seat a complete party but my problem here is that even if the fourth person did not show up we would have still been seated at a 4 seat table so why should we buy something for the fourth person??? Maybe I'm missing something here but I didn't agree with the hostess. Now the food...the pancakes were dry even with the syrup. The coffee was not tasteful, now that could just be me because I don't care for strong coffee but my friend loved it. I ordered the crab cake Benedict it was warm not hot and it was pretty dry. The grits was milky, creamy or something but not like regular grits. read more
