Breakfast here was impressive. I ordered the apple fritter French toast it was amazing the rum butter sauce was mouth watering you did not even need syrup. It also came with eggs and bacon. Definitely a big portion. We also ordered a BLT&A sandwich with home fries. The sandwich was delicious bread perfectly toasted. My salted caramel cold brew was good as it was not overwhelming sweet and just the right amount. On weekends I recommend joining their online waitlist as it was really busy when we got there. Haven't visited in a while since my last dine-in experience was not impressionable. Decided to shoot for it again via delivery. We ordered the Shrimp & Grits and Cajun Shrimp & Crawfish Omelette. Personally, the shrimp tasted and looked undercooked. The potatoes were not fresh. I put them in the airfryer once received in effort to give them a little life. Not impressed once more. I like breakfast and trying new places. I had the Southwest Scramble, what it was called. Definitely different than my usual bill of fare. I go with negative then positive. Coffee. Not as bad as First Watch, but still needed cream and sugar. But no bad after taste. The food was good. You get guacamole, sour cream and red sauce. You need it as overall, the taste was kinda bland. I wasn't sure what I expected. Working food service myself years ago, there are two trains of thought. The cook seasons it to their taste or not at all and let the customer season to their preference. This was that. Again, nothing wrong with the food, but I guess I was expecting a more flavorful taste. Glad for the cups of quac, sour cream and red sauce. Also, the presentation was just fair, imo. The decor and seating was nice. No hard wood chairs here. So a plus. I ordered grits, and in the south they know how to fix them. Parking was a challenge, but this early not a problem. First time at this location, been to this chain many different locations. We came at noon for brunch and there was a little wait. The Yelp waitlist function was not working, so my place wasn't honored and we got added when we arrived. They do have some outdoor seating, which is great for good weather. Parking is a little crazy, not a lot of street parking, but there is a parking garage across the street and they validate parking. I ordered the vanilla cold brew coffee and the corned beef and Brussel hash. The Brussel hash was amazing. Cooked perfectly. Decent portion. I'm always a little skeptical of trying things outside of my normal. But this was a pleasant surprise! I usually get their Bloody Mary, but opted out today, since my friends weren't drinking and drinking alone is never fun! read more

We stopped here for breakfast, hungry for a new twist on classic Southern favorites and were not disappointed. I ordered the Shrimp 'N Grits--a perfect ratio of shrimp and andouille sausage to grits. Bread wedges in the photo are English muffin chips--a surprising and tasty accompaniment. The reduction sauce was flavorful but not spicy. (If I wanted heat I could have added the restaurant's own bottled Pepper Sauce--see photo). Hubs ordered and enjoyed the Biscuits and Gravy. The house-made sausage (I could taste the yummy sage!) and crispy-on-the-outside breakfast potatoes were quite satisfying. Our server Liz R was cheerful and attentive. Better experience this time, though they seriously need to find a larger space. At least we only waited 20 minutes for a table this time, though it was understandable on a weekend. I got an omelet (the one with green chiles and served with salsa and sour cream) and it was well prepared, the potatoes were tasty, etc. Better half inhaled his meal--I forget the name, but it had eggs, potatoes, toast (believe he subbed a biscuit), etc. He also added pancakes. I've never found their food exemplary, but it's a notch above IHOP I guess. My issue was our server. I don't know her name, but she alternated between standing in the corner, playing with her phone in the area where they make coffee, and acting overwhelmed. We were rationing sugar (never delivered) for our coffee, had to ask for butter for the pancakes (delivered 5 minutes later after the food was cold), and after trying to get coffee for ten minutes--literally--we finally flagged down a different server. Different server was awesome, poured what she had and then brewed another pot for us. I wish she'd gotten our tip, as everyone who had her tables seemed satisfied. First let me say this is not my first time here, but won't be back soon. The service is SLOW!! There were only 9 people in the restaurant at 9:45am. The bartender seems to always be overwhelmed and the drinks do not come out quickly, even sitting at the bar. I ordered a mimosa and placed a to go order, 2 of the breakfast items on the menu with one substitution. Food took about 20 minutes, was packaged nicely did not open to check for accuracy. When I arrived home, part of the order was missing, unfortunately, this is a very common problem for this location. The restaurant is set up nicely, very inviting however the food has gotten to be mediocre, and with the service issues, they really need to address these issues. read more

Better rating will hopefully come after a second visit?? ‍ Just wanted to enjoy brunch & craving French toast with warm syrup & shameless powdered sugar. Entering, it took a good 8 minutes for someone to notice me; there was a host but I seemed invisible to him which started the demise of my visit I had to walk towards the bar and finally was seated by a friendly server (female) who helped me the entire time. The host? Well he just kept giving these two tables drinks & unnecessary attention. The lady waiting on her to go order commented as well, "guess you don't want to eat huh?" We both laughed. So, French toast ordered on the side- it was super dry & very cold. It wasn't good. The server brought out another serving & I covered it in syrup and had to eat it to fast to enjoy because it was luke warm with barely a dusting of sugar. Not good. The gooey soft texture of the egg mixed with sugar that coats the toast was absent so these are frozen, not freshly made in house. Coffee-Decaf was great. Not to strong & not too weak Lobster Benedict- awww man it was horrible y'all. That was the saltiest Benedict I ever had. Yes I'm all dramatic because it cost all I had for my once a month brunch. It had recognizable pieces of lobster- not many but they were good. I couldn't finish it because the salt was burning my tongue and I had to keep chasing each bite with creamy coffee. The English muffin was stale too I politely let the server know and they didn't bother to replace it or even try To FIX IT darn it!!! She simply said "oh is it? I'll tell the kitchen about that so they'll know," huh? Excuse me? How about you go back to the kitchen and have them correct it & bring me an edible meal. You're losing more money by losing me, not by replacing a super salty, runny, lobster benni with only about 7 pieces of lobster drenched in SALTY SAUCE. Yea, you actually need people to fill your tables and eat your food. That said, a friend invited me to go with him one day and I told him as long as you're paying otherwise, I can cook at home, like really. NOT GOOD GRITS- watered down simply watered down. No salt, pepper, or butter/butter substitute to boot. The first order seized up while waiting on the rest of my order so it was a corn brick. Second order was hot but man they were flavorless. Yuck it almost looked like the bowls of grits were all prepared, sat under a heat lamp, and pulled when a customer ordered them. All told. Our food took a little long to come to our table, and the food was pretty good, could've been better but I definitely recommend it for a nice brunch! This company will respond to negative reviews as if they're genuinely concerned about your complaints, but will not make contact to resolve the issue. I posted a negative review about a press on fingernail being found in my food weeks ago on here, their facebook page, and on Google & each time someone has responded to my three reviews saying to contact them via their business email address. I've done so & even let them know on Facebook that I've sent them an email & I have yet to hear back from anyone in regards to this matter. At this point, I'm sure this company cares nothing about their customers. They only care about unjustly taking their customers money even if it means serving their breakfast w/a nasty press on nail & their food. I'm utterly disgusted w/this food establishment! I'm definitely going to see if I can contact a food inspector for this business and show them these pictures & hopefully I can get a resolution from that angle. read more

Since my last review, the food quality has gone down considerably. On this latest visit, the health score was 87. That was just the first red flag. Next, we ordered the Lobster Brie Omelet and requested that peppers and onions be added to the omelet. The omelet arrived with no peppers or onions. We let the waitress know, but we decided not to send the dish back. When the bill came, we noticed there was an upcharge for the lobster on the Lobster Brie Omelet. We asked the waitress about it, and she said that there was a glitch in the system, causing the upcharge to appear. Ok, well, if they know this, why are they allowing the charge to appear without explaining it unless the customer notices it??? After a few minutes of listening to her excuses, I asked if I could speak to the manager about adjusting the bill. An additional 15 minutes go by with the manager never showing up, so I get up and go find the manager who happened to be bartending at the time. As soon as I walk up, he hands me an adjusted bill that is still 10 cents over what I actually owed. At this point, I was mentally drained, so I just paid the bill and left. The moral of the story is; Check the health score as soon as you walk in (behind hostess stand), AND double check your ticket. Especially if you order the Lobster Brie Omelet! read more

This is a shiny new restaurant in a new, hip and trendy part of town. There's good and bad to report. The good: the staff is friendly and accommodating. The service is good. My breakfast was fine, the bacon was perfect, my portion of grits was generous and tasty, and my eggs were scrambled a bit harder than I like but were okay. The bad: the menu is limited but probably okay for most people. What was really shocking to me was the price. Maybe I'm an old curmudgeon but I find fifteen bucks excessive for a simple, mainstream breakfast. UPON FURTHER REVIEW: I have to add here that my food was very good, the service was great and the staff is attentive and friendly. (I think I already said that.) After checking around, I find that Another Broken Egg is right in line with what the going rate seems to be for breakfast in Huntsville. That said, my check was a little higher than I'm used to.
