We went for a lunch on a weekday. They are know for their breakfast/brunch, yet the ambiance is perfect for any meal of the day. I had the Lobster and Brie Omelette. It was good, but saltier than I would have preferred. Infact, I found the country potatoes quite salty. I will definitely give them another try. This is the best breakfast/brunch restaurant in Auburn-Opelika! The menu quality is a higher level than the prevalent quick-serves that emphasize throughout over quality. Our servers were outstanding and the food was great. I encountered an employee in the restroom and and asked if he liked working here. He said yes and it was the people that made it good. You can tell the team is getting their processes down after being nearly swamped everyday since opening. We had the sunrise spinach scrambler and the salmon power bowl. Both were great. I tried a mimosa and Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary packs a pepper wallop so beware if that's not your taste. They both were great. The hardest part about coming here is working the crowd. Service was great but unfortunately the food missed the mark. I ordered a Lucy omelette and the cook the stuffing out of it which made it very dry and heavy (Brick like). City grits not bad but bland as well. My friend ordered chicken and waffles the waffles were cold and the chicken strips dry and bland. How a southern restaurant missed the mark on a stable such as chicken and waffles is beyond me....won't be back. read more

You need to have plenty of time and a small party to enjoy this restaurant. Here are the details of the visit: Today a member of my party called ahead to check on making a reservation for brunch with friends. They told her they didn't take reservations, but she could do the online wait through Yelp. So, I told her I would do that and checked us in at 11:25 a.m. before hopping in my car for the 2-mile drive. I arrived at the restaurant, and I let the hostesses know I was there. This was just at 11:30 a.m. At 12:40 we were finally seated - outside. Yes, after an hour and 10 minutes not included me checking us in ahead of time, there was still no space for a party of 5 plus a child inside. If you have more than 4 people, do not go here. Once we did get seated, the waitress came to get our drinks quickly, but then she was gone for 15+ minutes. Everyone had waters, 2 people also got a soda, and a different two people had a mimosa and Bloody Mary. Around 1 p.m., we finally ordered. Our food took another 40 minutes to come out. Mine was not warm. I am not very picky about hot food, but I would like it to be warm. It was nearly 2 pm. before we were eating. Remember, I first made contact with the restaurant at 11:25 p.m., and the restaurant supposedly closes at 2 p.m. We ate and finally left at 2 p.m. Food & Price: I got the classic Eggs Benedict. It was very standard. The egg was poached nicely, which is a plus - if doing something properly is considered a plus. The side of potatoes was the best part because they were warm. The semi-cold hollandaise sauce was not good because it congeals when it is not warm. I had a water to drink. My brunch before tip was close to $15. This, in my opinion, is too high. But I knew from previous reviews this was going to be the case. Members of my table also ordered the crab cake benedict, chilaquiles, southern benedict and children'e chocolate chip pancakes. Theirs also suffered from not being warm enough. In addition, one person asked for fruit (up charge) instead of grits, and she received grits. This was fixed - fairly quickly. Both couples with me spent over $40 between their two main dishes, 1 soda and 1 alcoholic drink. Overall thoughts: I have been to First Watch, Flying Biscuit, etc, and while I have waited longer than I would like to admit for these places, the service was at least friendly and the food was nice and hot. This was not the case with Another Broken Egg. Honestly, if someone from our party had not wanted to try this place, I would not have waited. But I regress. Did the manager (?) come to apologize for the wait? Yes. But it felt like it was just words she had already said to multiple tables without any follow-through and from the reviews this is clearly a persistent issue (this is also an issue bc of lack of brunch locations in our area). It was also her second apology of the day. There should have been a change after the first apology. Like others have said, service is slow. However it is REALLY SLOW. It seems like they either don't have enough people working or do not have proper directions on how to fulfill tickets in particular order in the black. I would have been more satisfied with the long wait if at least my food had been hot (or at least pretty warm). read more

My Grandmother and I were in Auburn for business and we got here a little early so we decided to stop and get breakfast. I'm very familiar with Another Broken Egg so when I saw it I stopped the car immediately lol. We were greeted with smiling faces and a very polite hostess. After about a 20 minute wait we were seated. Our waiter greeted us after about two minutes and our food was served no longer than 25 minutes later. The pancakes were so soft and the maple syrup was warm. My eggs and bacon met my expectations My Grandmother was very pleased with her omelette. Ridiculously long wait time... to get a table then to get food. The place is barely occupied, maybe 30-40% of inside sitting and 10% of outdoor sitting is occupied and rest is all empty and yet there is a long line waiting outside. Servers were really nice though and even offering water to those waiting outside. They should start the reservation service through yelp or increase man power in kitchen. Food was good. We had pancake flight, crab cakes, different omelettes and all were good, especially the Floridian. read more

This restaurant was awesome start to finish! It was pretty crowded so we chose to sit at the bar. Good choice! Hali our waitress/bartender was amazing. She knew the menu inside out! She was so attentive and made some really great suggestions. We started with complimentary biscuit beignets with honey orange marmalade. They were to die for! I got the pepper infused Bloody Mary. The line to get in was nuts and we almost left, but decided to stick it out. Boy are we glad we did. This place is the BOMB! It's not "another breakfast place." It's THE breakfast place for creative eating. I got one of the specials that was blueberry cream cheese stuffed french toast. Unbelievable. And the potatoes that came with it were crispy. Yum! The food wait is usually a bit long....even when not crowded. Just not a fan of the food although my wife enjoys it.

The server wasn't very friendly from the start, and seemed reluctant/standoffish to serve us. I wish I listened to my first thought and left. We haven't been here before and needed a good amount of time to look at the menus. We had questions about items and her answers were again standoffish and "well it's right there". By now it's a little awkward and kind of uncomfortable and I'm ready to just order. The food comes out and it looks great. My partner got the lobster and Brie Benedict and loved it. I got the shrimp and grits which tasted pretty good at first but was not warm at all, only the plate was warm. I asked if she would warm it up for me. The response wasn't one of good service and left me ready to leave. When she brought the bowl back, the grits looked watered down. They were warm but very watery and not at all how they left the table. She didn't really care if the food was satisfactory or about friendly service, I think she just wanted us to leave. First, why mention bacon? There were 3-4 small bits on the Benedict and you guys need to actually taste some actual hollandaise to know what you're shooting for...throw away the instant powder... Another broken egg has fallen from the standard it has made and used to excede with ease. I take my friends and family here all the time and have no problems. Today, medium crowd at a decent hour, we waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our food. I didn't receive one of my dishes. The dish I did receive was was cold and had to be sent back. My friends, all the food was a disgrace, eggs cooked the wrong way, over cooked burgers and soggy potatoes. And the service wasn't much better. The manager didn't comp anything, AFTER WAITING AN HOUR +. Not until after we complain then he proceeded to tell us how food was made, we had a master chef from Nashville at our table. We felt belittled and like we were just another customer. The restaurant has failed. I would recommend they get ahold of how to treat customers. read more

As always I enjoyed my food here. The staff, the environment, and the food is always above standard. I ordered a waffle with egg whites and sausage, cinnamon roll French toast with omelette style eggs with cheese and Andouille sausage, I also ordered the classic French toast with potatoes and scrambled eggs with cheese. It's expensive. Food never really impressed me. The waffles didn't do it for me. The sausage patties didn't do it for me. The ham was embarrassingly large. I don't really care for the name. This is the only broken egg cafe in my area so it doesn't seem like it's another one to me. Just seems a bit too cocky for my taste. My girlfriend got mad at me cause I put my foot down and said I didn't want to go eat here! She talked me into it eventually and we went back. I hated it. She admitted she was wrong. Both of the young ladies at the bar were flat out rude this morning. I was there to pickup an order. The first one acted like I was bothering her when I said I was here for pickup. She told me to wait in the lobby. When I saw the order came out and was sitting there, I went to the bar to get someone to bag it. A second lady looked like she was pissed if at the world for being there and looked at me like I was bothering her. She was right in front of me and didn't say a word. ("Can I help you?). I finally asked her if someone could bag my order. She didn't say a world and walked off. I run a multi-million dollar business. If I had an employee treat one of my customers like that I would pull them off the floor immediately or fire them on the spot. I don't even know if the food is good here but the actions of these two you g ladies put this restaurant way behind the curve from the very first experience through the door. Some of the food appeared to have been sitting in a warming oven for hours: one pancake was as hard as a plastic salad plate.
