I have been dealing with Ano Appliance for three (3) months regarding my refrigerator covered by Sears Home Warranty. There is a delay between Sears receiving service request and Ano Appliance making a service appointment. For a return service request, I have to call Sears again and wait for Ano Appliance to call again. Authorizations depend on reports from Ano Appliance to Sears. Everyone is polite on phone but refrigerator still not working. It has been three (3) months. Option #1 is to wait for Sears to get report for most recent service call by Ano Appliance before they will do anything. My only other option is to go buy a new refrigerator and to cancel the Sears contract. As the customer I have no leverage. Sears Home Warranty is handled by a company called Cinch in Florida. Lesson learned: Be wary of paying for any home warranty plan. Most are run by a mainland company. Service is farmed out to some local company you have no say about. read more

They came through Lowe's protection plan for my washing machine repair. The guy said a new part needs to be replaced. I got a call to confirm the part was ordered. Then, nothing. No updates were given for 2 months. Of course I called Ano appliances to update. But the lady said the part hasn't come. She said she would call me to update but no one called me since. I had to call Lowe's many times to get updates because this company never updates the status. Lowe's support said the part was ordered again and waiting for the part to arrive. How long is enough to get more help when I purchased a protection plan? 2 months without washing machine is really tough in summer with 2 teens. He said that I needed a part for my freezer and it will take 5-7 days. After 10 days I called ANO and spoke to someone who did not speak english very well. She said she will call me back and never did. Cinch Home Services and ANO Appliance are the absolute worst. I wish I could give them zero stars. Total scam. Cinch said that they are the same as Sears Appliance Repair, but I later learned that they are actually a 3rd Party that can sell you a home appliance extended service contract. I paid the monthly premiums for 3-months and made a claim for my Kenmore Elite refrigerator/freezer. I received a call from ANO Appliance Repair. They said that they are the service company that will be doing the repair and I had to pay $100 deductible for them to send tech to come to troubleshoot the problem. The tech came in his personal Volvo SUV that had no company name on it. He had a heavy Eastern European accent and said the compressor was bad. I waited a week and did not hear back from ANO. I called them to see what the status of my claim was and a female (with an accent that did not sound local) asked me what her technician told me the problem was. I was surprised that she had to ask me what the technician had said. She said that she had to file the claim with Sears to confirm that it was covered under the extended service contract (why wouldn't it be?). She said she would call me back when it was approved. I waited another 2-weeks with no updates from ANO. I called and she said "I was just about to call you". The claim was approved, but it could take 1 to 2 weeks to get the parts,, or 3 to 4 weeks (huh?) if the parts weren't ready to ship. I called again she said for the 2nd time to get an update that she was just about to call me. 2-months later, still no parts, or updates. I called ANO and get a recording to leave a message. No call returned to this date. I called the repair technicians mobile phone and his number is no longer in service. I had to cancel my credit card to prevent the reoccurring charges. read more

Disclaimer: **Before calling a technician, I defrosted our fridge and cleaned/vacuumed the vents/coils. These were the directions from the manufacturer that we found in the user's manual. We also called a professional friend who instructed us to do the same. Unprofessional, unapologetic, and unresponsive. Since it was the holiday season I knew I wouldn't get eyes on our claim immediately. To speed things up, I started to eliminate the obvious issues by defrosting it, cleaning all of the visible vents, etc. On their first visit, we were greeted by an unfriendly, non-English-speaking technician. I informed him that I had already defrosted it for 72 hours. He barely glanced at my explanation and continued his "diagnosis" by opening the doors and getting a temperature reading. I assumed he would at least pull the refrigerator out to check the freon levels or for any visible damage, but nothing. After a quick 5-minute look, he told us to de-frost our appliance for another 72 hours and to call back for ANOTHER appointment if it still wasn't functioning properly. So we called in after 72 hours, only to be told by Ano Appliance that the next available appointment would be in early January. Luckily, another technician was able to visit us on Dec. 28 to finally confirm that our fridge needed a new compressor. Since Dec. 28th, we've heard nothing. When we contacted AHS for a status update, we discovered Ano Appliance hadn't submitted any updates about our claim. We've called Ano Appliance over 10 times, to request them to just cancel our claim so we can move on with another company. It's now Jan. 10, 2024, and we still have a broken fridge. read more

Thank you to all reviewers for alerting me to the scam but unfortunately, I read reviews after Ano Appliance "repairmen" left. In addition to what many have said, after they tinkered for over an hour, both men wanted me to sign work order attesting that I was satisfied with replacement/repair when they didn't fix anything or make a diagnosis. Also, my dryer now has an error message that wasn't there before. I went online to Cinch Home Services (vendor of Sears Home Warranty) and reported my suspicions twice since there is a text limit. Someone from Cinch called 2 days ago to follow up on my comments and I reported everything to them and how Sears is putting customers at risk by not doing any third party risk management and allowing a company like Ano Appliance to serve customers and highly suggested they read Yelp reviews. My claim was made stronger when Cinch rep said that Ano had yet to upload a service report, which many reviewers commented on. I disputed the $100 deductible with my credit card company the next business day after the service date and informed creditor of a potential scam. I made appointment on my own for independent repair man to fix and told Cinch rep that I would drop warranty plan and that I don't care that I didn't consult them about calling because my dryer has been inoperable for several weeks now and I need it fixed ASAP! After a day, Cinch replied and said it will take care of the cost of independent repairman but within Warranty Agreement. I used Ano Appliance from Sears Home Warranty for my LG refrigerator. It wasn't cooling at all and they determined that the compressor needed to be replaced. The service tech wasn't sure if he had any in stock so he was going to have the office call me back later for the repair. Through a series of many phone calls asking for an update (I mostly had to call them for follow ups), I finally got a repair appointment about 5-6 weeks later. Within 2 days after the repair, my refrigerator is cool but not cold and my freezer can't freeze a bottle of water. I've adjusted the temperature settings on my fridge even colder than normal but no change. Since then I've tried to call them back but their phone number fails to connect and I can't get in touch with them. Guy showed up at our house - heavy accent (Russian?) - could barely speak English, demanded that we sign a contract with his company before doing anything. Claimed Sears is "no more". This guy was sent by Sears Home Warranty - with whom we already have a contract. When we questioned this he said sign it or I'm leaving. He called someone on the phone and spoke Russian to them and when we refused he left. His dispatcher called us an said WE told him to leave. The dispatcher then refused to identify himself or his company but my husband managed to see the name ANO. When we demanded the dispatchers name - he said "Dave" and said he didn't need to give us any information. So they can send strangers into our house and do not feel they need to provide any information - at the very least for safety? THESE GUYS ARE SHADY AS ALL HELL. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Just like all the reviews on here are absolutely true, this company is horrible. We had to use them though America Home Shield (AHS) for warranty work. We requested support for our dishwasher and refrigerator on July 18th. They took Forever to have someone come out. When they did, they were rude. They never called or emailed me a status of what was wrong. I called AHS, they said waiting on status from the assigned contractor (Ano Appliance). After numerous messages, they finally call me back and state the same thing everyone else on here says. They find a reason "not covered" by the warranty, so not only is our $100 service call a waste, bit now they want to charge us for some BS non- covered work? I don't think so. The first technician they sent didn't even speak or understood English. Two days later, my refrigerator was leaking water again. They sent a second technician ( "more experienced one"). He claimed he fixed it and left. In less than 2 weeks the problem can back. I contacted AHS again (4/24/23) and until today I never heard back from Ano appliance. They didn't return any of my calls or messages. They stopped answering AHS's calls too. Now they are claiming that they fixed my refrigerator and it was working properly . I filed a claim & paid my $100 deductible for service repair on my washing machine on 8/27; claim was assigned to ANO Appliance & appointment set for 9/2. ANO arrived on 9/2, looked at washer & said it needed major repair. Tech said he needed authorization from Sears/Cinch to determine if repair would be covered by warranty & get approval before proceeding. After "radio silence " I called Cinch customer service on 9/10, explained my problem...they advised that ANO had not sent in any paperwork or status of my service request. CSR rep says she'll continue her efforts to contact ANO...I should hear back in 48 hrs! 9/13...I call Cinch customer service again! Same run around! Was assigned through AHS for a built in microwave. I'm not sure of the technicians name, he spoke very little English. After looking into the guts of the microwave he found a lot of grease had compromised the control unit, but that he did not have a replacement unit so he could not fix the issue. He said he'd submit the paperwork to AHS but they were having a hard time getting a hold of Ano appliance and it took almost 3 weeks to hear back from AHS regarding the claim. They denied our claim saying the they don't cover normal wear and tear or something insane and that we will have to partner with the appliance company to get the microwave fixed which would incur additional costs. I just ordered myself a new control unit and should be here soon, seems simple enough for me to swap out if that truly is the issue. We'll find out! read more

It's really sad how certain people will take advantage of people. The service tech the company sent out to assess the issue with my fridge said he needed to order a part that would take time to arrive from the mainland, no problem. We waited and waited and waited only to find out when we called that someone closed our work order ticket out. WHAT?! Are you kidding me? Then the company ended up saying the issue was not covered by the home insurance policy and argued it was not covered even though it should be. The company was not helpful anytime we called. Then we discovered we could use another company. First off they were very friendly. The same company came for our stove and he said cockroaches were the issue and yet again it wasn't covered by the homeowners policy. Again, NOT TRUE! This company was selected by my American Home Shield plan to address my ice maker repair. Ultimately, they came within the time frame and fixed the matter, so I am satisfied. But customer service was somewhat of an issue as the repair person didn't speak English and required assistance to translate. However, I wasn't provided word-for-word translation, which made communication and my ability to understand what was going on difficult. There also seemed to be cultural differences (local v non-local) that made the interaction peculiar. And perhaps this is common, but he also wasn't prepared with rags/towels to sop up water for the repair. Giving them 3.5 stars. American Home Shield sent Ano appliance to fix my dryer The tech told me the control board needed replacement. American Home Shield then denied repair saying the tech had said the dispenser was missing!!! I told them there was no dispenser in my dryer, it was not a washing machine. I an still trying to get American Home Shield to cover the repair. The best way to get their attention is to go to the Better Business website in Memphis. It is my belief that American Home Shield is giving preference to repair persons who deny claims. March 25, 2024 - Called ANO to schedule follow-up appointment. April 2, 2024 - Serge changed the actuator and it made matters worse...washer DIDN'T WORK AT ALL!!!! Serge called another technician who recommended that the washer be replaced. Serge said he'll talk with his boss who will need to make the decision. April 15,2024 - after several attempts and voice messages left to speak w/someone at ANO, I was finally able to ask Uri about status of replacement washer decision. She didn't know and would have to ask her boss. I asked to speak w/her boss and was told he was in a meeting. This is the 2nd time I asked to speak w/her boss and was always told he was in a meeting. April 16, 2024 - called Sears Warranty and was told that they would need a report from ANO's technician in order to determine replacement or reimbursement of our washer. We had to use Ano Appliance because that who American Home Warranty contracts with. Our dishwasher would leak while running through the bottom of the door. The soap dispenser released the liquid soap after the drying cycle. Dimitri came out to fix our dishwasher. He was very thorough and took the dishwasher apart. He ran a partial cycle and saw it leaking. He checked the level of the actual dishwasher. He found a ground wire not properly connected, an air flow vent stuck open, and a drain vent clogged. Dimitri had come out before and fixed our ice maker in our refrigerator via AHS. Again, he was thorough on that call out. I would definitely use Ano Appliance again if Dimitri is the technician. read more

Going on 6 weeks without a refrigerator. Referral through Cinch (Sears). We have been given the run around and dishonest. 3 separate visits and 3 separate answers on what is wrong. The last technician said that the refrigerator is not repairable. I have complained to Sears main line. When I told the Ano receptionist, she was incredulous that the tech had said that. Now she says we have to wait for Sears to approve. My husband's medication is in a cooler and no longer can sustain this. Has anyone reported them to Better Business Bureau? My experience is very similar to the ones posted. Ano Appliance was referred by Lowe's. After waiting a few days to schedule, a man showed up. He spent over 90 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong (Googling how to troubleshoot my LG washer). When he was finished, he couldn't give me a clear answer of what was wrong with my washer and next steps to get it repaired. All he said was that I needed a new boot and my drain was not working. He said he would put in the request to order the parts, and I would get a call when it arrived. When I followed up with Lowe's 2 days later, Lowe's said my job was marked complete, which meant that my washer was fixed. Ano Appliance did not put in any order for parts. I filed a complaint with Lowe's Customer Care center regarding Ano Appliance. That's not the worst part. 2 days later, my property manager sends me an email stating he noticed construction debris on the stairs of my building. After reviewing the security camera, he saw a person dragging a trash bin and dumping it onto the stair area. My property manager sent pictures and it was the Ano Appliance employee making a mess on property!! I texted the employee and scheduled a time for him to return to clean up his mess. The employee showed up without any supplies, left for 20 minutes to get his supplies, then returned still without supplies to clean. The Ano Appliance employee was rude, did not apologize, and told us that we should be thankful that he came to clean up the mess. WTF??!!! Who does that??! 100% agree with others that this was a complete waste of time. If you are referred to this company by Lowe's, tell them to find you another business to work with. Update since ANO Appliance came by my home. AHS determined that there was reason to doubt the technician's opinion (ANO) and agreed that there has been excessive complaints against them and sent DeVera's Appliance repair out to make a final determination instead. Devera's showed up and concluded that there was NO pest infestation and determined that repairs to the fridge was indeed needed. AHS covered the repair in full. So, be warned, do not trust ANO Appliance. I'll do a separate review of DeVera's repair as I do not want to take away from either parties. read more

Tech came to fix my dryer, changed the thermostat & it worked for one cycle. 48 hours later, tech has not provided notes to his management or AHS and AHS won't send another company to repair. After weeks of waiting Ano appliance finally showed up to fix the ice maker on the refrigerator. Not only did they not fix the ice maker, they broke the refrigerator seal !.
