He arrived on time and quickly determined the motherboard needed to be replaced--fridges have motherboards? I authorized the repair and a few minutes later I heard the best, most annoying sound ever: the hum of my refrigerator motor! The time from the message left for Alan's Appliance Service to a fixed refrigerator was under 3hours and cost was under $350.00!!! So before spending an arm and a leg replacing your hot fridge, call Alan's!!!! PS--In the past he also saved us from having to replace a dryer that wasn't drying anymore. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a repair company. This company stole from me…read more I called them to fix my washer and was charged $150 for the visit -- fine, that's standard. But then the technician, Chris W., added another $150 for "labor" that I never agreed to. There was no invoice!-- he charged my card immediately and only later sent a receipt with the added fee with $300 for labor. $705 including parts. Again, no repair done. He said he ordered the part, then claimed Samsung sent the wrong one. After that, he no-showed three different times. When I called to ask where he was, he literally said, "Obviously I'm not there, so why would you wait around?" He even admitted he was at a baseball game. Over text, Chris acknowledged the terrible service and said he'd refund me everything. Of course, that never happened. Now I'm in a credit card dispute because they've refused to refund a single dollar -- not the labor, not the part, nothing. I called a different company who charged a reasonable fee to diagnose. I purchased part, spend 10 minutes swapping the part and I fixed the washer myself. Do yourself a favor -- go anywhere else. You'll save money, time, and a massive headache. Just don't. I'm out $560…read more He came by to check out my washer and said it was the electrical board that was fried. That diagnostic that took less than 30 minutes cost $95. He said it'd be $465 for parts and labor to fix and that I'd have to prepay first. Then he came back to replace the board but it still wasn't working. So, he said it's the transmission of the washer and that it would cost more to fix it than just getting a new washer. He said he'd refund the amount for the parts since it wasn't the board. However, after multiple attempts to get that refund back he just stopped replying. I even contacted the BBB to help with some kind of mediation. He did not respond to them either. So, save yourself time and money and just don't contact this guy.

He cleared the drain clog and left the water in the bottom of refrigerator and in freezer. The drain clogged again with ice. They sent the same guys as before and said for me to get the water up...I called the management and told them I found the problem with the clogged drain... this guy did not speak the water up in the freezer the last time but I watched his ash closer this time.. this guy is worth less money... it unemployment checks... no star if I could...smh
