I usually have high expectations when it comes to my toes. I get the same thing every time. Deluxe or spa pedi with white & glitter gel polish. Sooooo after 2 failed attempts at other places today, we decided to give them a shot. Wrong thing to do! First red flag, the tech put SOFTSOAP HAND SOAP in the water as the cleanser. Then said for any other cleanser it would be $6 and proceeds to pass me individual packets. We should have left, but we didn't. We really should have left. Like REALLY. So we proceed...with basic pedis. The tech doing my gf's toes did alright. There was very little foot massage for either of us. Not sure what scrub they used but it was exfoliating. There was barely a stone scrub. Both techs used CUTICLE OIL on our legs. When asking about lotion, they said they didn't have any lotion. LIKE NONE. This was my first time and I was hesitant because of the reviews but I decided to give them a try anyway due to how close it is to where I live and I'm glad that I did. The cost for a full gel set for short nails was only $47!! For context I moved from CA and the starting rate averages $60 for short nails I'm very happy with how my nails look and I can only hope that they last for the next two weeks which is the real test. read more

Do you ever get the feeling your nail tech is lying to you? I've been here multiple times and had no issues before today. But if you are going to lie about stickers for my design I wanted them there's no reason for me to return. Y'all all I wanted was a sticker design other than butterflies. Any other stickers. First she claim they didn't have any. Mrs Ann was there and she turned around and told her what I was asking for (in there language). And she mentioned I got butterflies last time. My nail tech says oh ok. I thought you were saying something else. Nope. Ok cool. No problem. I said I would like to see any other stickers, not butterflies. She gives me butterflies anyway. I ask do you have others stickers? She says no, the other designs don't look good. Ok, can I see them? She says no there's no more. I'm thinking you just said you looked at others but YOU didn't like them. I thought I was the customer, I'm thinking. During this conversation Ann turns around multiple times. But says nothing. ‍ If you know your employee is wrong say something and stop ignoring bad customer service. I let her finish my overlay for my nails, declined color (I will go elsewhere) and damn sure didn't proceed with my pedicure. I won't be back. Sadly. Customer service was fine. We didn't experience a wait (our visit was on a Monday afternoon). My daughter was the only one being serviced and the tech continually checked with me to ensure I was satisfied. Pricing was good. Inside was small and had some wear and tear. FYI: Eyebrows are done out front towards the front of the shop. We didn't get eyebrows done but it was a little awkward since I was waiting. Overall a good experience. Stopped in for pedicures a Monday evening. So 1st red flag was the tech squirting hand soap into the foot tub. Not the foot soak that should go in, but the 99 cent soft soap from Walmart. When my gf noticed, they offered us a pack of foot soap crystals for an extra $6 each. The techs moved rather quickly and cut and filed the nails pretty well but when it came time for the foot scrub, out comes the soft soap again with a thin line of scrub. He scrubbed my feet okay but did not do any massage or callus removal. Not looking for anything special but at least whip out the cheese grater. Then finished it off with a greasy oil. When I asked for lotion they said all they have is oil. Like dang! Y'all really rubbed me down with the 3rd grade school soap and and some vegetable oil!!?? This isn't one of your upscale Nail Salons but if you want the job done right and within a reasonable price this is the spot. They also accept walk-ins. As a first time customer the experience was horrible. I went in to get a soak off, pedicure and SNS on my nails, after checking in and sitting 15 minutes I was placed in a chair to soak, with no soaking solution and I was giving a bowl to soak off my and polish. The soak off did not have a oil and was only acetone and cold water .if this isn't bad enough I set in the water and soaking solution for almost an hour before my pedicure was even started. 1 hour and a half in my pedicure is started after draining the water and adding more water, my nails are still seating in this acetone mixture, I'm almost out of time so the tech drills as much of the SNS powered off that she could before polishing my nails. I have I'll never go back to this establishment and truely don't recommend it. read more

Definitely get what you pay for. Although the prices are cheaper, it's not worth it. My acrylic powder was uneven and bumpy. My pedicure seemed rush, no more than 15 minutes and they charge an extra $5 for callus remover (that's definitely typically apart of a pedicure!). I was highly disappointed when I tried out this nail shop. I just moved in the area and thought I would give this place a try. I am particular about my nails especially when I pay for gel that should last two weeks. I was excited to get Mimi since the reviews recommended her. The finished product was bubbly uneven polish that looked like they were going to peel off at any minute. Before I could get home one nail had half of the polish still on. With limited time to get them redone I reluctantly went back to get now 3 repaired the next day. I had a funeral to attend and needed them done ASAP again! I went after work the next day and told Mimi how disappointed I was about the paint peeling off and she didn't seem to feel bad at all. I took time out of my schedule to come back and wasn't even given an apology. She just began talking in Vietnamese to her coworkers which is very rude. It would have been better if I received an apology but I did not. On top of it all I had to wait 30 minutes and they chipped again that night!!! I will definitely not return. I feel like I wasted my time and money. Go somewhere else. I refuse to go back for yet another fix. I will go somewhere else. This is ridiculous! My advice to this establishment is to treat your customers better because those who value good service will definitely tell others about their treatment and your lack of customer service. Great service. Called in for Adam and unfortunately he was unable to See me, but although they were busy he tried every way possible for me to come in. My mom sees Adam every month and her toes and nails always look great; even the designs. Yesterday I had Mimi for a pedicure a a full set. Hands down the most detailed pedicure I've had in a while. She made sure to get my cuticles and she did an amazing job w the callus. My fill in was AMAZING. I didn't get my full set from here and they were looking really rough but Mimi literally transformed them. They're probably the best I have ever had them and I've gone to spas and family owned store such as this. I think Ann was there as well and although I didn't use her services she was very pleasant to all the customers she worked with even the ones you didn't work with. My only complaint is that there is not a lot of nail polish selections I would advise you to bring your own colors you want something specific they have a lot of glitters and metallics if that's what you're into but not a lot of basic colors. All in all I think I would go back here. The prices are reasonable, feeling it was $15 for a full set is $20 and a pedicure is also $20 which is really reasonable especially since they do a good job.t read more

Terrible service! I went here to get my wedding nails done. I asked for one tech ahead of time but got another - the guy who did my nails completely botched them. They were crooked, misshapen and not painted well. I paid extra for a design and I could have done it better myself. So sloppy. As he was doing my nails I also asked him repeatedly to fix the shaping and he attempted twice but it still looked awful. I got frustrated after sitting for 2 hours so let him finish but the minute I paid and walked out into the daylight, I realized just how bad they were. I asked for a redo or a refund and they refused to redo it without me paying again. They only gave me back half my money, and even that was conditional on me letting them take them off vs allowing me to go somewhere else to do it. So they basically charged me, to take the messed up nails off. I offered to go get them taken off elsewhere in exchange for a full refund and they refused. My wedding is in three days and now I am stressed trying to find a new spot last minute. Spent over $100 here. Do not waste your money or time!! read more

Before I went in i called to ask how much were a pedicure and a full set, they were both $20. So i came in around 12:15, the salon wasn't really appealing, it smelt like tuna in the back by the pedicure station, but anyways they weren't busy so I was serviced quick, although the lady that was doing my feet had the water to hot but I let her know to cool it down. She did a good job and you get what you pay for the pedicure was nice for $20. I always bring my own color so that was no problem but they didn't really have a variety of colors. Then when I went to get my nails done the lady that was doing my nails wasn't friendly(didn't expect her to be) but when your friendly with your customers they'll want to be serviced by you in the future. When she was doing my nails I wanted them a decent length, they were barely long and she said this length is $25, then I asked so what's $20? And She showed me and I said that's barely a difference! So she cut them to the $20 length, and they came out nice(not the length I wanted) but hey. Go here if you want a nice short full set and a decent pedicure. I am usually very particular about where I go to get my nails done. I have a gel overlay over my natural nails and I like for them to look as natural as possible. The last time I walked into a shop I had never been to I walked out highly unsatisfied. The guy attempted to shape my nails and ended up making them look like eagle claws. I live in Silver Spring but was in the area for a church function and wanted to get a quick fill-in. I walked in...at noon on Saturday and was immediately greeted and seated. The guy who did my nails, Adam, was great. It had been about a month since I had gotten my nails done (don't judge me, I've been busy) and he made them look good as new. He cut them down, reshaped them, and made them look very natural. Another lady in the shop helped me find a nude shade I'd be able to wear to work. I had been going to Ann's Nail Salon for 14 years since I moved from the Greenbelt area. I have been a loyal and faithful client. About 1.5 months ago, I decided to cancel my next appointment with Hong and Adam due to the fact that I was not treated with the care and respect that I deserve after all these years. I was a great tipper even if they I felt they could have done a better job. The last time Hong did my nails, I had two that split and one broke. I called her and asked if I could come in to get them repaired. Well, she repaired one and glued the other one with super glue and I knew it would not last. Sure enough, my nail broke completely off. So I called her and asked if I could come in for the repair and I mentioned to her that I knew the nail would break because she did not repair it. She told me that she would fix it on Tuesday. Now this was on Saturday and she wanted me to wait until Tuesday, really??? I was not going to go that long with a broken nail so I made the decision to never return there again. I can take my coins and loyalty somewhere else. On a few occasions, she would do my nails and someone would walk in and wanted an eyebrow wax and Hong would ask me to give her five minutes to do their eyebrows and I always was okay with it. Until One day, I needed an eyebrow wax on a humble and walked in and asked if she would do my brows. Well, she told me "No, I am too busy, can you come back?" I called her and let her know how displeased I was with how she treated me. I should have left then. Maybe this was a wake up call for me to take my money someplace else and a more clean and spa like atmosphere. I now go somewhere FAR more better! read more

After waiting 10 minutes to be acknowledged and another 30 to get my pedicure started, my first and last trip to this salon was off to an unimpressive start. I was pleased with the shaping of my nails but when the tech started to use the stone to smooth my skin, I requested that he use the grater on the heels of my feet (I hadn't had a pedicure in almost 3 months) and he nodded and said okay. Next thing I know, the water is drained from the tub and he never used the grater. So I reminded him that I asked for it and he said "we don't use that" (MIND YOU the woman NEXT to me had the grater used on her feet) so I said I just saw one right there and he goes on to try and convince me that I didn't need it, my feet were dry but not hard, I just needed to moisturize. I insisted that he use it like I asked in the beginning of the pedicure and he told me it would cost extra $7.00 to be exact...I've never been told this at any salon I've ever been to EVER. So I tell him not to worry about it (at this point I knew I wouldn't be coming back) I originally asked for gel on my feet, until I was told it would be an additional $20. For GEL POLISH the same polish that most nail salons charge extra for (as if it's REAL GEL) I won't be returning. read more
