I chose to bring my wedding dress for hemming and alteration to Ann's Cleaner's based on the Yelp reviews in 2016. My first complaint: I called to get an idea of pricing and was told something very different from what I was charged. My wedding dress is not a big fancy dress- it is very simple. I asked that a sash been sewn onto the dress and I also thought it needed to be taken up and altered at the shoulders, but I was told "no, no, this looks good." When I picked it up, I tried it on to be sure everything looked right, The hem was good, the sash was okay and I again said the top shoulders should be taken up. I was told, "You are not wearing the same undergarments for your fitting." and "It looks fine. It is beautiful." This evening I tried the dress on again with my wedding corset and it is still loose at the shoulders. It is 4 days before my wedding and tomorrow I have to find a tailor that will alter the shoulders of my dress.If she had not rushed me out the door and taken the time to listen to what I was saying, I wouldn't be in this predicament. I was relying on her professional opinion to help ,e and she did not help. Ann's Dry Cleaners does not deserve even one star. read more

Incredibly disappointed with the service here. I called ahead and asked about getting two dresses hemmed for an upcoming event. I was told they did alternations in house and that it would be affordable, but they did not quote me a price over the phone. I went in person to have my dress looked at, she pinned the shoulders and hem in less than five minutes before rushing me out the door. She handed me a slip for a pick up next week and said that both the dresses would be ready then. My daughter went to get the other dress hemmed the following day and had the same experience being given a ticket and rushed out the door. When I went to pick up the dresses, I realized that she had given us a ticket per dress with the pricing which is not what we discussed. She charged us $205 dollars for simple hemming that she sent to someone else. The two dresses we purchased cost less than that together. I never would have agreed to pay that price had she been straight forward with the cost when I had asked repeatedly on the phone and in person. This was deceitful and I will never be returning. The quality of the alterations was mediocre at best. read more

Stay away. So I dropped off a cotton shirt to be LAUNDERED and pressed. At the same time I left an item that needed a small mending job. Price quoted was $10.00. When I picked up the shirt they charged me $9.75 because they dry cleaned it instead of laundering for no apparent reason. It was a white cotton shirt! When I went to pick up the item that required a small sewing repair they tried to charge me $35.00 instead of the $10.00 that I was quoted. I told them to keep it. Total ripoff. Ann's is the best dry cleaner in town. They always have my order ready on time. everything is always top notch. They are excellent at getting out any tough stains. Excellent with a needle and thread - all my repairs have been very nicely done. They can process your order quick for you if you need it. Just ask and they will do anything for you.
