They are nice but not that great service.we need to wait for atleast 30 mins for our order to arrive We ordered mofongo as it will be one of our Safe dish but I feel this the horrible mofonga you can ever try. If you are a first timer please do not try mofongo in this place it really sucks!! And for the appetizer we ordered a mixed platter which smelled and tasted so raw !! We were not able to complete any of the dishes stating the fact that we were starving at the beginning of the meal. And atleast I thought the dessert tres leches would be good. very disappointed on the pollo relleno and service. The chicken was burned, and they still serve and charged for it! A responsable cook would not have sent out a burnt chicken. The sauce that accompanied the chicken was just warm milk with salt and cilantro that was not cooked in the milk, since it had no flavor at all. Drinks were okay, flies were not, waitress MIA, food was late, rubber calamari, cold over cooked sortido and late over cooked chicken wings that was ordered with fries and got the fries an hour early is not a way to enjoy a meal. This is an interesting review to write.... our party of three had 2 great meals and one terrible. The terrible would be overlooked except for the treatment from the manager. The snapper was super fishy... two of us ate one bite and said it was bad fish....the manager insisted it was fresh and the problem was with our taste. She refused to remove it from the check. She was so insulting, insisting that we just didn't know what we were talking about. Eventually she did remove it but it ruined the experience. The other meals were awesome, fried cheese w guava trifongo w churrasco, pizza, tres leche, mojitos.... all great. The view is outstanding for a sunset and the ambiance great! They even offered mosquito repellant when the noseeums feasted on us. Service was good but Puerto Rico standard slow. Annie's Place used to be pretty good, but when I went the flies and mosquitos were out of control. It made enjoying our meal difficult. But worse than that, our food was bland. I used to get excited to eat the shrimp empanadillas and the lobster empanadillas. They were so bland. The fish broth tasted like warm water with a little fish flavoring. This place has everything going for it...location, views, and convenience. Unfortunately the ridiculous wait-times are absurd. My wife and I recently visited twice over the course of 4 days and both times we were disappointed with the service. On our first visit we ordered a drink each...mine came immediately and the waitress forgot about my wife's. She had disappeared for over 30 minutes before we could catch her and let her know. Shrugging it off as an oversight, we ordered two appetizers. Once came within a reasonable 15 minutes and the other took over an hour...for CEVICHE. We told the waitress to remove it from our bill, as after an hour of waiting, we didn't want it. She seemed incredulous that we no longer wanted it. She agreed to remove it. 10 minutes later she brought it back out to us and tried to get us to keep it and pay for it. We said absolutely not. Who knows how long it had been sitting out. The second time we came back...to give this place another chance. Low and behold we get the same waitress. We hoped that last time was a fluke. It was not. We ordered drinks at the same time. My beer came to us 15 minutes before my wife's drink. We ordered an appetizer and a burger to share. The burger took over an HOUR to get. The place was busy, but not much food was being pushed out. The waitress seemed aloof and overwhelmed. I am a very patient person but this was ridiculous. It didn't seem like understaffing was an issue, just bad overall service. Great spot.. I don't know what the other reviews were complaining about because we had wonderful service. Many different servers came to check up on us multiple times. The view was great for sunset as well. Food wise- definitely get the Masitas (fried fish bites). We ordered grouper and it was a HUGE portion of fish. Great value for the price. For an entree we got the mofongo with chicken, steak, shrimp, and chorizo. It was pretty good, although a tad greasy at the end. However, I would suggest getting an extra beverage before you try and check out, because there seems to be an aversion to running the credit card. This was consistent over the 2 time we were there. We had a great time at this place. The food was delicious. We had large sampler which I felt had too many monfongo balls but it was good. For my entree I had the fried snapper aljillo(garlic and onions). It was a huge piece of fish fried to perfection. My daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. The food was dull. (No flavor). We ended up getting a different more cheap plate and where charged for the expensive one. There was not any apologies for the delay. It tasted like food, and had calories which filled my stomach. The portion sizes were GRANDES. Very big. I mean huge. So huge, I plan to eat the rest of my meal for breakfast . As there are few places to eat near Combate Beach, we were thoroughly surprised by Annie's Place. Wonderful atmosphere for families and couples, tourists and locals alike. I ordered the fish topped with a sweet mango sauce. Came with mofongo and steamed veggies. Pretty good. My partner ordered the seafood mofongo (very filling as mofongo is a traditional Puerto Rican cuisine made with starchy plantains). Enjoyed the huge margarita. Good service and beautiful view as it is right on the beach. It is also walking distance from the hotel (Parador Combate). Just wished it stayed open later for dinner. read more

If you have time to relax and enjoy a great meal then this is your place. I have been coming here for OVER 20 years. DO NOT expect first rate service. This is why I said if you have time. This is the West Coast where everything is laid back and time has no meaning. The staff is very friendly, the drinks are cheap and the food is really good. The Conch salad is among the best I have tasted on the Island. The empanadillas (like a taco) are always filled with plenty of meat, Conch, fish or whatever you want. On the weekends they have a live band on Fridays and Karaoke on Saturdays (evenings).
