The Rib Plate was delicious, but the presentation was disgusting. Annie's is a take-out joint in the Historical South Side of Las Vegas; when I got my plate home, the barbecue sauce and the cold slaw had merged. I would like to suggest that Annie use a separate container for the cold slaw, the same type as they use for the baked beans. I tried calling them, but no one answered the phone. read more

Quite a unique experience! Drive to the side of the building , wait for a guy to come out and take your order, then wait in the alley for him to bring you your food. If they sell out of chicken, well order from what is left. I was looking forward to the chicken but oh well, next time. Had ribs and hot links, macaroni and potato salad, greens and peach cobbler. Salads and greens were tasty. Links were cut into small bites and not too hot. BBQ sauce is a little too sweet for my taste buds but everyone has their own favorite. This was my first time trying soul food and let me tell you, hijo de su madre this is the spot and I understand they be selling out fast so y'all better get here before 2:00 Pm. They have the best prices and it's a drive thru so there's no getting out of your car. They always accept tips and it goes towards everyone working so tip big. Second time ordering the slab or ribs with two sides for and event. You have to go there and pay $30 (you can not beat this) they are so organized. You just pull-up in your car, give your order, pay, stay in your car. It's a well oiled machine! They have mask and gloves. Definitely Covid conscious! On to the Ribs.. when I tell you bomb AF. Bomb. Never disappointed. Tender. The sauce . Delish. Now the sides.... hit or miss but I do not go there for the sides at all. You can't go wrong coming here! I highly recommend!! read more

First time trying Annie's kitchen and I thought it was good got the rib tip dinner with potato salad and beans as my sides. The only thing I would recommend is to not put the potato salad in the same container because what if I wanted to heat my food up later and I eat all that at once, but other than that it was pretty good. My husband didn't care for it though but I'll be back and their peach cobbler was really good as well and I make my own peach cobbler so that is a big compliment to them. read more

Some of the reviews are funny. Yes, the young man serving the food can be rude at times but he's working a rough, thankless job. I'm cool with him, just started chatting with him about sports and now not only do I get great service but he might throw a rib or two extra in there. He's like the soup Nazi from Seinfield, just be cool, don't piss him off or "no ribs for you!" Now to the food, it's hands down the best BBQ in Vegas, nothing else comes close. Since traveling to TX, Memphis and KC, my bar is super high for ribs. I've rarely found decent BBQ in Cali and none in Vegas besides Annies. Get their ribs without BBQ sauce, that's the true sign of good ribs...they don't need sauce. Most other places use sauce to cover up the lack of flavor. Some people mentioned they have no hours posted, cardboard menu and close whenever they run out of food, that's true....it is what it is. Many times I've came by after 3pm and they closed because they ran out. All of that is worth it considering the ribs are incredible. read more

Omg. The BEST ribs I've ever eaten in my entire life. I'm a Vegas native, who is 54 years old, and never had ribs this good. Y'all are missing out, by not driving here, bringing your cash, and enjoying the best homemade eats. This place has had a PERFECT record with the health department for YEARS! I saw them on TV. I can't wait to try the brisket, and the rest of the menu. The macaroni salad, and baked beans were bursting with flavor. This woman knows the meaning of comfort food. Great! I heard an ad for this place on the radio. While looking through photos people posted on Yelp, I saw that they smoke turkeys for the holidays. With that being said, I got a turkey smoked by them for Thanksgiving. I knew I was taking a chance because I had never tried their food, but the reviews I read were good. We were VERY satisfied with the end result. You buy your own turkey, and they'll smoke it for $25. Not a bad deal. It was delicious! The only downside is that you won't know when it's going to be done. I'd recommend making sure someone is available to pick it up the day before, because they can't give you a timeframe. Annie's Kitchen definitely isn't the same anymore. I've been eating their food since I was in diapers. Since the Covid-19 pandemic they have been taking orders through their drive through, which is totally fine !! I actually prefer this new method. But The black guy with the baby dreads/braids that takes the orders for the drive through is VERY RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm confused why he has such an attitude especially when you have customers that are patronizing your family's business. I'm black myself so it's even more of an disappointment that he's always rude to a fellow brother/sister. But then you have people shouting "Black Lives Matter". What a joke. My advice from a customer who LOVES your food, and would hate to stop coming, please incorporate friendlier customer service please. Im highly disappointed in this black owed family business. You have to do better guys. read more

Plates were simple and very reasonably priced. The food was good too. I chose this spot out of several spots. I would definitely go again as it was the holiday and I got some bbq and they take COVID-19 very seriously. You drive up; they take your order; then they bring your food to the car! Every time I come here the food is good. The selection is horrible! I've been visiting and going out of my way to support this restaurant for over 2 years. However, they constantly sell out of main entrees on their menu. Quite ridiculous!! If your selling out, make more food instead of turning customers away. This place is a ghetto mess. They serve food in the alley out the back door. They don't keep their postedhours, either. They said they close when they run out of food. Now, here's the joke: They serve meals that come with sides but I was told some sides were "free and some sides are extra." Huh? I try to support black restaurant owners but it's always some mess. I've eaten soul food coast to coast and all throughout the South and I have NEVER been charged extra for certain sides. You choose 2 sides from the menu and that's that. This place charges extra for mac n cheese and other sides. And it's not that good btw. They have no patience for first timers. You have to read the menu off a poster and don't ask too many questions. They don't charge taxes (red flag). Do not order the salty bbq ribs. Never returning to this "restaurant". read more

We chose sliced brisket (it comes chopped if you don't specify) 1/4 dark meat chicken and hot links. For the included side, we chose the dirty rice. We added an extra 1/4 dark meat chicken and a side of cheesy mac and cheese. Wife and I split the brisket and hot links and we will usually have leftovers as they are generous with their portions. All the barbecue has rich and Smokey flavor. The brisket was tender and had a hive visible smoke ring around the edge. The links have nice heat that is not overpowering. The dark meat chicken is also tender and juicy. When you peel the skin back the meat underneath is glistening. Both the rice and macaroni complimented our protein selections. If I have one knock, the sides were merely warm and not hot. I think this as due to the volume of people there for lunch today. For sauce I chose their original and sweet mama varieties. She introduced herself, introduced us to the menu along with making some recommendation. We ordered chicken waffle, pork scrambled, and the biscuits and gravy. Of course, i must have a sweet tea. At the end of breakfast, our nine-year-old complaint was she's so sick because the food was so good and she ate way too much. Agata made the experience that much better.
