Our goal was to have a natural birth at the hospital, and because of this class and the knowledge/practice we had prior to having our baby--it made it all possible. My husband stated that he would pay double for this class because of how much he learned and how prepared he felt in supporting me once labor began. Each class was engaging and fun. Liza was so kind and sweet, she had checked in with me around the time of my "due date" to see how I was doing. She was SO kind to also message back in forth with my husband while I was in labor at home, which made my husband feel very supported throughout the entire process and he felt that Liza genuinely cared about our birth. Liza communicating with us during our labor via phone was above and beyond what we expected when taking her class. We are thankful for Liza and the way the Lord used her in our lives before the arrival of our first born!

She was the perfect teacher and I would recommend this to ANYONE AND EVERYONE!

During our first couple of weeks postpartum, our baby struggled to gain weight because she wasn't transferring enough milk and I was dealing with an undersupply. After a difficult experience with another lactation consultant left me in tears and ready to give up breastfeeding, we reached out to Juliana at Babies in Bloom. We had appreciated her approach in our classes, and our experience with her was truly night and day compared to what we experienced with our initial consultant. Juliana thoroughly assessed our baby's latch, my nipples, feeding positions, and pump parts and settings. She listened to our concerns and created an effective, manageable plan to help us move away from what felt like an indefinite triple-feeding nightmare to our goal of exclusively breastfeeding. She also checked in between appointments, adjusted our plan as needed, answered our questions, and most of all encouraged us. With Juliana's guidance, our baby went from the 11th to the 50th percentile for weight, and my milk supply caught up to fully meet her needs by four weeks. By eight weeks, I was able to gradually drop pumping sessions without clogged ducts or mastitis, and by 10 weeks, we reached our goal of exclusively breastfeeding. I'm incredibly grateful we found Juliana and that I didn't give up. Her knowledge, support, and encouragement helped us achieve a goal that had once felt out of reach. I cannot recommend Babies in Bloom and Juliana enough for their classes and lactation consulting services!

IT was such an awesome thing to be able to continue to do yoga, perfectly right for my pregnant body and feel that I was prepping myself for childbirth (even though I had a c-section, haha). Lisa is an excellent yoga teacher, with a wonderful teaching method. She is like a teacher, a coach, and a friend. :-) It was so comfortable in her class, I felt like I was always able to share my pregnancy experiences and open up in class. Being able to do this allowed me to have a relaxed pregnancy and feel like I was doing good by my body! I highly recommend Lisa for prenatal yoga! She is knowledgable and her classes won't let you down.

I think now I'm well prepared for labor and birth not only physically, but mentally as well. I highly recommend this class to any pregnant woman who lives near San Marcos. I've taken hot yoga classes before through Core Power, but I've never sweat like this in my LIFE. I was drenched, my clothes soaked through, it was quite hilarious actually. There are clearly lots of regulars that attend classes. Aerial Yoga isn't heated, and it was by far my favorite class. Maybe it was the novelty of it since I had never tried Aerial Yoga before, but nonetheless, I felt like a kid and was radiating a smile the entire time. Gayle was lovely. She even took some pictures of me in poses to share with my friends and family. I ended up having a private class since no one else showed up (yay me!!!). Parking available in the shopping center. Bathrooms & showers available inside. Filtered water available too- not cold, but you don't really care after you just sweated your entire body out. The staff & teachers were kind. I was first greeted by Cristi, the executive director and midwife. She made me feel at ease and made me and my husband feel very comfortable. The birth center itself is in a peaceful community in Fallbrook. It has 3 birth rooms to choose from that are themed differently. I believe I chose the green room which acquired to my liking and it was extremely peaceful. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. My birth experience was just perfect thanks to my midwife Debbie and the student midwives, Azure and Mel. They were so patient, kind, and so knowledgeable. I believe I met most of the midwives and they are all lovely. I love how you get to do your birth, your way, and the midwives guide you while following your lead. I don't trust traditional hospitals and I would much rather do a holistic birth with midwives, just as it has been done for ages. I would choose Acorn over and over again if I were to have more children. I even had to switch my health insurance just so I could give birth at the center versus a hospital and it was so worth it. It was such a beautiful experience.

I never thought I would ever do a natural birth... but here I am! I will start by saying, natural birth is HARD. I went into my first unmedicated birth not knowing what to expect but I prefer it that way but boy was I determined!!!! Second time around I was nervous, anxious.. all the things! My first experience was great, although after labor I experienced some hemorrhaging. Once staff figured what was wrong they acted fast and I was relieved. It was a little traumatic for me but it didn't taint my experience with Acorn. I came back for round two!!! 2nd time around two years later! I delivered my baby girl on February 20th, my experience from start to end was amazing. During labor the team gives you and your partner space, during those moments were truly special. And probably one of my favorites. I had Cristi Sedona and Kyra for my team! And I would choose the same 3 every-time. Each of them brought a different vibe, but it was a mix that you need on your team! I can't thank them enough for making each experience so special, For me my husband and my family! If I was having more kids, no questions asked... I would do it again.... and again....

Nikki rushed through to be with me even though I was sure I would be laboring until the evening. Good thing she did, as my baby boy arrived 3 hours later. During the labor itself, she was a calm coach who's attention and support let me feel confident enough to focus only on getting through my contractions. Nikki anticipated all my needs - timing my contractions on my phone, putting pressure on my lower back when I needed it and bringing me water and snacks to help keep my energy up. She worked very well with all the hospital staff and even stayed with us after the birth to help ease into the hospital and enjoy the moment. I highly recommend Nikki. She's the best!

I thoroughly enjoy measuring my personal accomplishments from when I first began your classes on 12/6/2013. At a minimum, my strength, balance and concentration have all improved. I can add that my inner peace has been enhanced. When I walked to my car after my first class, I could not believe how great my body felt. It was as if, internally, things were rearranging to their natural working positions. Even though several of the positions are not comfortable, with your guidance, I see big improvements comparing December 2013 to December 2014. The positions are less uncomfortable and I can notice the progress, as I can turn a wooden block down one level, hold a pose longer and continue to learn to refine basic positions. Now, when I realize I am slouching, one of your three voices pops into my head.
