We hired Peter for a business event and he led a guided breath work and meditation session for us and it was AMAZING! HANDS DOWN THE BEST I have ever experienced. Everyone in attendance was raving about it the rest of the weekend! I truly cannot say enough great things about the session itself. And Peter? He is wonderful and just truly an amazing person and teacher. You can tell that he is very passionate and loves what he does and it shows in his work. 4 people in attendance were so moved when doing his teachings that they cried because they reached a level of understanding and a level of openness that they have never experienced before. This review is overdue. This is the studio that got me introduced to Kundalini Yoga. I went through a difficult time dealing with anxiety and distress earlier this year. Encouraged by a beautiful soul that channeled a little light into my mental darkness, I gave Kundalini a shot, bought a Groupon for $23 (one month of unlimited classes) and started my journey of inner alleviation. In short Kundalini is the Yoga of awareness and focuses on the energy around the nervous system. Unlike Ashtanga, Hatha, etc. Kundalini's attention is not on muscle strength and flexibility, but on stamina: Creating heat through a combination of pranayama and repetitive postures (kriyas). What I really find rewarding is the meditative observation in stillness after each kriya. Building up energy and perceiving how it flows through your body. Such a blissful sensation! Also if you have difficulties like me sitting still during traditional meditation, Kundalini might be your solution. This studio is full of love. Heartwarming vibes by genuine teachers and students, a community I haven't experienced in any other studio before. Make sure you mingle with your fellow yoginis and yogis over a complimentary cup of tea after class. I had the pleasure to take classes with most of the teachers. All of them were inspiring and radiated positive auras in their own way. Here are a few impressions about some of the teachers: Priya: The first half of her Friday night classes (to "master the mystery of life") starts with a conversation between teacher and students about humanology and yogic philosophy. I've been now taking classes here for 3 weeks and I really enjoy the classes. Priya's classes are very fun and interactive, and I'm learning alot. She's great. Marjan is very lovely and I love her monday night classes. I sleep alot better at night when I go to class, and I feel more relaxed on those days as well. Such a cute, wonderful place to explore Kundalini Yoga! I took my first class this morning as part of my journey to explore other styles of yoga (I come from a Power Vinyasa background) and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised and pleased with my experience in the hour and a half long Kundalini Yoga and Meditation class with JB Dharamdeep. The class today was relatively light on the asana (posture) side of practice, but I was told each class is unique from the last. That being said, Kundalini is still nowhere as physically intense as many of the other styles currently practiced; this was a refreshing and invigorating change of pace for myself, as my body often needs time to rest from my powerful vinyasa practice, yet I still crave the meditative and spiritual aspects of Yoga. I tried the 20 class Groupon and I was brand new to yoga. I started with Hanna's Vinyassa class, which what I think of when I hear "yoga". The traditional poses, flowing into one another. I love this place (and their tea) but most of their classes are Kundalini yoga, which is less physical, and revolves around the chakras and has chanting, alternate styles of breathing, etc... I'm almost out of classes and would love to stay here, but I can only take 2 of the 4 Vinyassa classes offered each week due to my job. If I could get in 4 Vinyassa classes and a restorative or Yin class I would stay. I've tried the level 1 class at Core Power HB and it's a great workout, but crowded, very corporate and I hate the parking. I plan on trying another smaller, local studio I see all the time that seems to offer the classes I'm looking for 7 days a week for a reasonable mo. unlimited price. read more

I attend Angela's prenatal Yoga class only. I very much enjoy the class and Angela is a fantastic teacher who additionally provides a lot of helpful recommendations and services helpful to women that are pregnant as well as workshops outside of the yoga class. The class itself was extremely helpful in preparing my body and mind for labor and delivery. I look forward to Wed nights. Now 39 weeks Preggo, class will be over for me soon. I will return the next go around with pregnancy in Angela's class. This place is a wonderful place where EGO's are left out of the studio and only love , light, and healing take place. Went to a Thursday night Kundalini yoga class . It was my boyfriend's first Kundalini class. As a Kundalini yoga instructor myself, I really wanted it to be a special experience for him. And it was! Pure Love & Acceptance radiate from each teacher! It smells good in there, touched with things from India and they have a never ending stream of hot yogi tea for me! (well, I guess for others too! ;) You don't have to wear work out clothes either; of course you can, but it also works with any loose comfy, even pretty clothing!! I am calmer, more focused, more accepting of others, more accepting of my body, have more energy, need less sleep and I feel tuned into some sort of positive stream. I used to be a lover of Bikram and Hot Yoga (26 poses only, and I did love the detox sweat), now I am fascinated with Kundalini Yoga! (a mental, spiritual and physical detox!) It heats you from within and boy can I sweat! (great workouts) It's known as the "yoga of awareness." It is unique in that it heals and balances the body not just through movement and postures, also with different specific breathing, meditations, chanting, mudras (hand positions) and eye focus points. I have only gone for 3 months but I learned the purpose of chanting is so that your mind can not think during the meditation. (I was like, "OMG what the heck are we saying in some mysterious language?") (It's meanings are super positive!) But it made me concentrate and let go of my worries! It also vibrates the glands in the body, which wake them up, balance the hormones and create serotonin! (I love serotonin!) (Chocolate!) There are many pressure points on the roof of the mouth and those wise ancient yogi's designed the words to hit certain spots on the roof of the mouth to help stimulate the body for a myriad of healing qualities. (That is why it is not translated into English) It's a language called, Gurmukhi. Known as "the language of the gurus!" (gurus are spiritual teachers.) Each class has reverence energy. Kundalini yoga starts by connecting with a "universal sound current" with a chant of a universal blessing. I kept thinking "Um, this is so weird to speak in this language, but I feel so good!" I think people get scared it's a cult or religion but its totally not! It's just that the yogis decided not to hide it and share their ancient secrets of health and happiness with us!!!! No two classes are identical, because there are so many "Kriya's" (set of exercises) and chants (meditations) I could never get bored. The word kundalini literally means coiled. It's a coiled energy at the base of the spine. I have been told it opens a pathway of energy and it is way better than coffee or red bulls! All humans have it but it gets stuck and we don't know how to open it and use it, but the gurus or yogi's know how. This is the place to learn it! The music is so soothing and beautiful. All the teachers have a good senses of humor and wisdom! I feel like I plug into the universe and leave ready for life! They have a new student $20 for 20 days to check it out. Its only $77 monthly to have unlimited classes! Plus a free class every Saturday at 10 am! I would recommend starting with Priya! She is from India, wise, inspiring, luminescent, and the owner! BTW, They have Hatha, Vinyassa ,Prenatal, Naam yoga, hathalini and Kids yoga too! If you forget to bring your yoga mat and pillow/blanket and H20, they have mats, blankets, meditation pillows, cups with water available and they are free of charge! I have had to rent mats elsewhere if I forgot my personal one before! Everything is very clean and kept up nicely. I prefer slip on type shoes because we never enter the space with shoes on. The email newsletters are "food for thought" and have great delicious recipes! They hold different fun unique events. For example they have Kirtan music concerts, lectures, Indian cooking class and others. The next one that I am stoked to go to is an "All night Gong Bath!" Yep, a relaxing "gong" sleep over! I am humbled and blessed to have found this studio and found Priya. I have been stumbling toward my spirituality for many years with no long term success. The moment I took my first class I knew I was home. Priya is such an enlightened warrior and angel wrapped into one. In the midst of an overload of fitness-focused, get-em-in-get-em-out studios, I felt like I walked in to a warm and welcoming community as soon as I walked through the door.
