I've been going to Anna for years, and even after moving out of the neighborhood, I still make the drive to see her. She always gives me a great haircut and knows exactly what I want. Over the years we've also developed a really close relationship, and seeing her feels like catching up with family. Highly recommend! read more

I have been a long-time customer of Anna. Even though I had moved away, I still make the long drive to get my hair permed and cut. I have always been extremely satisfied with her work. She takes her time to work on each customer, no rush, no "short cuts" (pun intended). She is also very friendly, easy to talk with. I think she devoted more to customers' satisfactions than building up to more new customers. I highly recommend Anna as the best hairstylist. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've been a customer of Anna's haircuts for the past 5 years and I have always been extremely satisfied with her haircuts. Prices are affordable and parking is also validated if you need to in the parking garage. She is skilled and can do multiple different styles depending on your needs and is always so friendly. Appointments are by phone or text only. She responds promptly and is very flexible. I would recommend her to anyone in the area for a great cut for an affordable price. read more

Friendly barber, great haircut, good price. Easy to make an appointment. What more could you ask for?

My favorite hair stylist of all time!!! She is such a joyful person who is genuinely passionate about her craft. Easy parking and great location! I have been going to Anna since 2019 and during that time we have tried multiple different hairstyles. Anna has been able to execute every style better than I ever imagined. I love that she works by appointment only and gives her full care and attention to one customer at a time. She is never in a rush and double checks her work with extreme detail. I love our conversations and over the last 7 years of monthly haircuts I feel like we have become family. Anna, you are the absolute best!!! Thank you for helping me look good and boosting my confidence! read more

I've been going to Anna for years, and I really can't say enough good things about her. She does a great job every single time, and I always leave happy with my haircut. She's also incredibly kind, easy to talk to, and always does her best to accommodate my schedule, which I really appreciate. Over the years, I've come to appreciate not only how good she is at what she does, but also what a genuinely kind and caring person she is. I would recommend Anna to anyone without hesitation. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Anna's for several years now. For context, I first came for a haircut while I was visiting Los Angeles. However, once I found a job here I've kept coming back for over 4 years now. She is a very attentive hairstylist and also makes sure to check that you like your cut throughout the appointment. In case you need parking, there is a nearby parking garage which she can validate at (although Chinatown parking is cheaper in general). I've talked to her more and more over the years and she is a wonderful person as well. For more introverted people, don't worry as she'll also match your energy. As long as you're okay calling/texting the number to schedule an appointment, you should be bound for a great time. I would strongly recommend being specific in what times work best for you as she both schedules and does all of the hair appointments. Doing so helps reduce the back and forth :) read more

Very quality cut tailored to your needs and preferences if needed. Anna is so kind and genuinely cares about wanting us leaving feeling confident and fully satisfied. 10/10 definitely would recommend! read more

I've been coming to Anna's for the past 5 years and it's always a treat. Originally, I first came here post Covid for the simple fact that I wanted to support Asian-owned small businesses which were struggling at the time. However, I've stayed loyal ever since because I simply love the experience. It feels like home when I'm here. One thing I never noticed in the past is how amazing her chairs are. Even when I arrive and I'm not tired - something about the sturdiness and the leather of the chairs make me feel so relaxed. She would tell me later on after my comment that it's because those are old school chairs that simply aren't made that way anymore. But what I love the most about Anna is that she can get my haircut done in 30-minutes, and it looks as good as the ultra-pricey places that normally take an hour. Additionally, she is good at reading the signs. There are times when I just want to close my eyes and rest- and she will give me space, and other times when I am super chatty, and she gives me the same energy. read more

Anna is an amazing stylist, she really takes the time to listen and she cuts your hair with so much finesse and care. She's friendly and upbeat, and really knows her stuff! I would recommend her in a second- I tried so many stylists in the area and i am so grateful I found Anna ( she does a great job on men too!) read more

I've lived in Los Angeles for 6 years now and have had difficulty finding a barber/ salon i liked for the first 3 years. I was recommended Anna and have only gone to her since. She cuts my hair the way I like it and is consistent. She takes appointments by text and there's never a wait. She is a very sweet lady and offers water everytime. If you're in the market for a new barber/ salon I would recommend. Very fairly priced too read more

I've been going to Anna for almost two years, and I can't recommend her enough. She's incredibly professional, consistent, and takes the time to understand what works best for her clients. I have very straight, stubborn hair that's not the easiest to style, but Anna is the only stylist who's been able to give me haircuts that actually complement my head shape and hair type. Every cut grows out well and is easy to maintain. If you're looking for someone who truly knows what they're doing, Anna is the one. read more

I have had a really good experience cutting my hair here the past few years. Anna is very good at paying attention to details and making sure my hair is cut consistently every visit. She is also very friendly, and it's easy to make appointment reservations through text. Anna is the best stylist I've had. She actually listens -- I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted and she asked the right questions before touching my hair. The cut looked great walking out and, more importantly, still looked great a week later when I styled it myself. She's friendly without making you feel like you have to keep up a conversation, and she never oversells you on extras. Highly recommend. read more

Anna is the best! Make sure to schedule an appointment - she doesn't take walk-ins. Great conversationalist too!

Anna's is my go-to spot for a haircut. She has a friendly vibe and can do just about anything. It's always an easy, pleasant experience. Her prices are also very reasonable. It's appointment-only (but easy to schedule by text) so you never need to worry about a line, etc., and there's cheap, secure parking across the street. Anna is an amazing person and so nice! She immediately saw the problem with my hair caused from my previous barber and fixed it. She's very attentive and always asking for my opinion/if I like it this way or that way. I visited Anna for the 2nd time yesterday. I went in thinking I needed a big trim for split ends but after taking a thorough look at my hair, she said my hair is very healthy and looking great. She recommended just a tiny bit to even out of my growth and kept my length since it suits my face more. It's the first time I went in for a haircut and the hairstylist refuses with my best interest in mind. If you want someone you can trust to put your best interest first instead of their financial gain, Anna is the ONE!! I don't have words to express my gratitude and luck for finding someone like her. read more

I had a hard time finding a place in LA that knew how to cut Asian hair. Tried a number of places and was disappointed. I went to Anna and the rest was history. I drive from WeHo to Chinatown regularly because she's that good. Anna takes her work seriously. So if you're looking for a quick 10 minute fade, this isn't the place for you. She is by appointment only and you can text message her to set up a time. Anna is classically trained and very experienced. Her vibe is calm and she'll get into deep talks with you. You'll come out feeling rejuvenated and looking good. I can't recommend her enough. Go see her. You won't regret it. read more

I've been going to Anna for over 4 years. Since then I moved twice and still drive across LA in traffic to get my hair cut by her. I used to fade my own hair for years and am very critical of my cuts, Anna makes it spot on each time. Enough said she's the best. read more

A little bit about Anna - she used to cut for the Vietnam Army until 1975. Years later, she moved to LA and opened up her shop. It's been around since 1981. Anna is a Vidal Sassoon-trained hair stylist. Along with decades of experience, she hasn't lost her touch. Since 2018, I've been consistently going to Anna's for a haircut (even through covid). I used to live in DTLA, then moved to San Gabriel Valley. Sure, there are plenty of great Asian barbers and stylists out here. But honestly, I would rather make the extra drive out to her place in Chinatown. Anna has never rushed through a session, because she cares and only takes one client at a time. I usually ask for the Short Pompadour (pictured here) and then Anna takes her time making sure it's done right - the first time. While she's working, we'll catch up on life, talk about food, travel, politics, you name it - Anna is a good conversationalist. One time she even recommended me some of her great home remedies for a sore throat ! Look, there are places where you pay the person a few bucks, get an expedited cut - business as usual - sorry Anna's is not one of those places. If you want a great overall experience - go to Anna's - but please call/text beforehand, she works by appointments only. read more

Anna is a terrific stylist. I've been coming to her for about a year and her cuts are consistently excellent. She takes the time to make sure she doesn't miss any thing and is not in a rush like so many stylists these days. Her salon is covid safe and street parking is usually available. Her prices are very competitive given her training and quality. Call or text ahead to make an appointment and Anna promptly responds. Highly recommend. read more

Anna and her salon is a gem in Chinatown. She's a veteran hair stylist who can cut any style of hair. I was a regular at her salon pre-pandemic and she would cut my hair really well with a classic side part. Afterwards, I grew out my hair long and it had been a while since I got it cut by her. I wanted to try a mullet style so I showed her a picture and she was able to cut it exactly how I wanted! Other "specialist" hair stylists in LA would charge almost $100 for this type of cut but Anna is able to deliver way better value and she's such a friendly person. Thank you Anna! read more

I have been visiting Anna's salon for about 6 months now and her work is consistently excellent. She is Sassoon trained and does a beautiful pixie cut for me every time. I have been able to make appointments by text with ease. Even short notice and parking in the structure or on the street has been simple as well. She takes one client at a time with very clean practices that make me feel safe covid wise. Convenient location on the edge of China town where parking is easier right near the famous strawberry cake bakery! I'm so lucky to have found her and her pricing is reasonable. Here are photos of my most recent cut! read more

I have been to Anna twice (November 2020 and October 2021) and loved my haircut both times!! Embarrassingly, the first time I went to her was to fix bangs that I attempted cut myself... let's just say I looked like a clown. I texted her one evening, and she booked me in her schedule the next morning and did an amazing job fixing it! She softened up the mess, and it looked great. Just recently, I went again for a regular haircut and was very happy with the result. She has great attention to detail and is also kind and friendly. Her prices are also very affordable (cash only). I referred a couple friends to her and they all love her cuts. She does not accept walk ins, so call or text her number (on this yelp page) to make an appointment. read more

Anna was able to fit me in before an important picture was taken. She was friendly and informative regarding my hair, and went as far as showing me how to maintain and style it myself at home. Hands down the best haircut I've gotten by far. It was such a pleasure to speak with her, and she got my hair exactly like I showed her with a few adjustments she explained along the way. read more

Literally blown away by Anna and her craft! I've never had such a pleasant experience at a salon with such a skilled hair stylist (an artist actually). She is Vidal Sassoon trained which means she's the real deal (it's Sassoon Academy now and it's definitely not the same as it used to be, hence the real deal). She specifically specializes in short hairstyles and men's cuts (I have short chin length hair for context), which is how I somehow found her on Yelp. I've been going to her for years now and haven't let anyone else touch my hair since. You're the absolute best, Anna, and I appreciate you so much! Thank you for taking care of my mane throughout the years :') I'll be seeing you again soon! read more
