They prefer appointments, but will take walk-ins (be mindful that priority will always go to appointment clients) I wanted to do a walk in, but ended up setting a same day appointment, only 2 hours after I made the call, so it a doable wait time. I ate lunch and had a nap before coming in, so it was already leading up to a nice chill day. My stylist was an older lady, and she was very pleasant, quick nimble with the scissors and mostly styled my hair with just her hands (I have natural waves) and used very little product. And my hair turned out better than I expected. I basically got a wolf cut with soft layers. As we talked, I found out she's had a collective of over 30 years experience cutting hair both abroad and here In the states. I can really appreciate the service she gave along with her pleasant demeanor during the whole experience I had. My husband ended up going there to get his hair cut a few days later...and I was happy with what they did to his hair as well. Very clean and styled in a way that suits his face and head shape. Not just a cookie cutter hairstyle that looks the same on everyone. This one really flattered his specific look and personality. The only downside is parking on a busy day, the lot is small and right up near a busy street. So I understand why they encourage appointments, to keep the parking lot from being crowded. So it seems like they already put some consideration into setting up a good experience for their clientele. I look forward to visiting them again in the future for a color job I want to try. All I wanted this time around was a wash, cut and style and it was decently priced and professionally done in a relatively short amount of time. On my appointment day, I arrived early, yet Kate accommodated me right away. She asked if I needed anything to drink then got right to work. Some women treat their hair appointments as a therapy session. I'm not one of those women. Thank goodness, neither was Kate. She knocked out my perm lickety-split without all the unnecessary chatter. I couldn't have been more pleased. My hair normally takes 4+ hours to perm and she knocked it out in 2. She was truly a perm queen. The salon stayed buzzing with other customers and all the stylists helped each other out which was nice to see. The prices were equal to that around town. Making an appointment may be setting a date a month or so in advance for highlights/haircut with your favorite stylist. A haircut appointment might be a week or two in advance.
