I decided to try Anmol last night. This was my first visit. I have passed this place lots of times, and I only live around the corner from this place.
The shop is small, quite clean but not spotless. A half days cleaning would make the place look smarter. There is a high shelf unit to the right of the counter. I am 6'2" tall, and standing on my tip toes I could easily see the top of this shelf. It is covered in thick dust, grime, old papers and crumbs/scraps.
I ordered a pizza. My choices were 9" thin or deep, 12" thin or deep, or a 14" thin (don't know why they don't offer the 14" in deep).
I ordered a 12" deep pepperoni and a large bottle of pepsi.
The cost was £7.30 - a rip off price, considering other local Pizza shops are better (but not much better).
When I got the pizza home and opened the box I found a 10" Pizza. The pizza should've been the same size as a 12" LP, and this was nowhere near! The Pizza was a bit of a mess, it didn't look appealing at all. The Base was very thin (paper thin!), not much topping, the pepperoni was scarce, very few peppers, lack of cheese and too much tomato Base. The dough was fine, especially the nice soft crust. That was the best bit!!
I won't be going back to this place ever again! read more
