Have had several acupuncture over the years but never the harsh, double taps on the needle that would leave me bleeding in many points and even needed to "heal" from over several days. And there was a big push for me to buy the tea..when asked told it was for "digestion" though I have no digestion issues. Not told what was in the tea, I resisted buying it, but was given some pressure each time. Lastly, not having Dr Gong take out the needles for a quick, final check in, but her front desk person taking out the needles...just added to the impersonal, assembly line feel. After peeling it off, I found the exact same product online for $14 less--brand new and unopened. This felt unprofessional and left me with a poor impression of the business.

I called to reschedule my appointment from the 7th and the appointments that I had scheduled the following week for the week of the 18th and the 25th every Tuesday and Thursday. Fast forward I had to reschedule my flight from the 17th to the 19th of December due to the same family emergency and completely forgot to call on Monday to reschedule my appointment on the 19th. I admit it was the last thing on my mind and only remembered mid flight on Tuesday. Today I was running late for my appointment but on my way when I realized I was not going to make it by 8.15. I called at 8.09 saying that I was running late but most likely not going to make it in 4 minutes. I was more than happy to forgo the 15/20 mts that I was late if they would still have me or I could come in later. No one picked up and I left a voice mail message. Get a message a couple of minutes later saying all my appointments were cancelled and had to call on the day for Availability. I called again and explained that I just tried to call to let them know I was running late but on my way and that I left a voicemail message and I was faced with a rude front of house staff that insinuated that he was there all morning and didn't get any phone call or voice mail message and proceeded to tell me I had a cancellation on the 7th (I rescheduled didn't cancel) and a no show on the 19th and today that's why all appointments were canceled and proceeded to give me attitude when I tried to explain what the situation was, which only left me more aggravated and frustrated than I already was. My deductible has been met this year and all my appointments are fully covered so I was trying to do my best to still make it to my appointments since next year I will have to pay for these sessions . The arrogance and attitude that I got this morning made me want to forgo all my appointments. I will find another clinic next year, for my PT and will gladly pay. Bare in mind that I'm a returning patient that has been to the clinic before without any issues. This is not a reflection on my therapist that was wonderful but a sad consequence of a misunderstanding and how poor customer service impacts patients.

Prior to any recommendations I had EMG studies to determine the best approach- which eventually was a surgery. I am glad that I went ahead with it. On the day of the surgery - the checkin - OR, post op went very smoothly. Following the surgery Dr Jafarnia himself called me in the evening to check on me. In April 2024 an orthopedic surgeon Dr. Todd Siff performed an unsuccessful elbow procedure for my tennis elbow on the left arm and since the surgery my elbow became much worse and looked very deformed. I went to Dr. Jafarnia for a second opinion. He saw the latest MRI in MyChart and told me my tennis elbow was not fixed. I scheduled a second surgery with Dr. Jafarnia in November 2024.
