The parking garage is pitch black dark. The staff knew this and did not have the decency or courtesy to tell me this, a new patient. Had I known I could have made other arrangements!!! Never had a chance to see the doctor as I parked on the street, Fannin, and canceled my appointment. So disappointed in the inefficiency and unprofessionalism of the staff.

I took time off work specifically for bloodwork, only to later find out the staff never sent the order to the lab. This resulted in wasted PTO, wasted gas, and a completely unnecessary trip. When this issue was brought up, the staff showed no concern or accountability. There was no apology and no sense that my time mattered. It is disappointing that such a great doctor is supported by staff who are careless and indifferent. The lack of follow through and basic respect for patients' time makes this office very frustrating to deal with.

Yet, the patiences after me received top tier service. Her entire demeanor was disgusting. My appointment was for Dr. Tang and while she was informative, she gave 0 eye contact. That's extremely rude, especially as a new patient. If someone is talking to you or you're talking back to them, eye contact should be given. Her demeanor is very dry and monotone. She's not very personable. November 21, 2024 I had a televist appointment scheduled originally for 1130 but they moved it to 1115. I waited for over 30 minutes for Dr. Tang to sign in, and she never showed. When I called to see what was going on, they informed me that they would let her know. That time went by and at 1151 I was fed up. I called to get a refund of my money paid and now they're talking about 6-8 weeks. After I receive my money, they will never have to worry about me again. Go somewhere else if you want to be treated properly. All of the staff here need retraining.

I came to Houston from New York with a hyperparathyroid condition and was referred to Dr. Steven Petak at Houston Methodist Hospital. I can't say enough about the wonderful care I received from Dr. Petak. He has always been kind, caring, genuinely concerned about my health. Dr. Petak listens when you speak to him, and he records and addresses all of your concerns with respect. You never real rushed in his presence. Dr. Petak's approach is conservative, which I appreciated, but he will certainly advise surgery if he deems it necessary. Dr. Petak referred me to a wonderful surgeon also at Houston Methodist to correct my condition and now I am well. I must also add that Dr. Petak's assistant, Erica, is excellent! Erica will also take very good care of you. Dr. Petak is truly a 'superdoctor,' a rare gem and a blessing! You'll be in expert hands with him. Highly recommended!

The Endocrine Center is not bad but I only stayed with them because of Dr. Qureshi. I made an appointment to see him at Kelsey-Seybold and Ms. Alberta was excellent. I do have to wait a month to see because he is very busy but offered to put me on a wait list to get in sooner if someone cancels. I hope this helps anyone with Diabetes or other ailments. He is a wonderful Doctor.

The lady at the front desk (I didn't get her name) was great! So professional, personable and very sweet. I didn't have to wait long at all which doesn't seem to be the norm anywhere these days and I already go mentally prepared to sit in hopes to cut down on my annoyance level. Dr. Alexander was great too. He explained exactly what he was going to do and why and listened to me and the questions and concerns I had. Took the time. Probably won't have to go back but would definitely recommend to anyone needing to see an Endocrinologist.

In June 2025, I agreed to complete a new thyroid ablation procedure and it went well. I was told it was imperative I follow up with 3 separate ultrasounds after the procedure to ensure all went well and nothing was wrong. On my first follow up visit I was told I owed over $400. I had already paid my balance of $1000 after the EOB was completed so I was unsure as to what this particular amount was for. Well after being told I could not see Dr. Boccalandro nor complete the mandatory 1st ultrasound until the balance was paid, I contacted my insurance. They informed me that balance was not my responsibility and the $1000 I had already paid was all I owed. After informing the office manager, Maurilio Araujo, I didn't owe that amount and letting him speak with my insurance over the phone, I was still denied being seen by Dr. Boccalandro!! He told me they have to contact their outside financial department to get the due amount deleted, but in the meantime Dr. Boccalandro refused to see me until this payment was settled! (mine you I live in Spring) I couldn't believe it! This proved they cared nothing about the well being of their patients until they get "their money!" Even after my insurance said I was not responsible for any other payments due! Now it has been 3 months since the thyroid procedure and I still haven't had the "very important" thyroid ultrasound to ensure my health is intact. I'm still waiting to receive a call on the $400 that is an error in their billing and NOT money I owe; the office refused to recognize that and refused to see me as a patient. I'm very disappointed with Dr. Boccalandro and her office staff (Maurilio) because patients health is less important than them receiving their funds. It's unprofessional. I will be changing physicians and in the meantime praying my thyroids that the ablation removed is okay and healing because I have yet to be able to follow up.
