We've been coming here for at least 20 years. Back then it was the only game in town that really understood small pets. Most places seemed to take them as a sideline to horses and other large animals. We have not always used her as our first choice, but we have never had a bad experience either. She provides very good care, seem very knowledgeable and runs a good office. I'm surprised nobody has done a review before me. read more

My dog had a foxtail in his foot that I couldn't find and was in a lot of pain. I called 15 different veterinary clinics this morning and this was one of the few that would fit him in. It's a small waiting room so they will come out to your car if you prefer or you can sit inside. I asked to go back with him to meet with the dr and they were happy to make that happen. They gave me a quote before they did anything and were helpful with any questions I had. They were able to remove the foxtail within the hour and we were on our way with antibiotics. I highly recommend you check out all the reviews. I found this place to be very impersonal and cold. The staff basically comes out and takes your animal and disappears back to the shop then after awhile they bring it out with the bill. There was no contact with the Vet, just the assistants who have little to no experience with customer service. Seems like a factory making money. Worst experience with this place and I believe them to be incredibly dishonest. Long story but worth it if you're considering doing any business here. We adopted a dog from this vet fall of 2018, we were told he had been rescued from a dog hoarder initially but they knew his records and he was 8 months old. They told us he'd had a clean bill of health, freshly cleaned teeth(should've been first red flag, puppies don't need teeth cleaning), vaccinations, etc. Well...within a year he was losing weight and acting sick, took him back, told his teeth need cleaned. Fine, well...then they pulled 15 teeth without a phone call and demanded payment of over $700. Vet never responded to my requests to speak. My first clue this dog was older than we were told. I also had to go in to the place to even pay because they would never answer the phone yet kept sending me bills. Still sick we see another vet, who immediately questions his age I gave, suspects he's MUCH older. We treat him for a parasite, he eventually is somewhat healthy again after rounds of meds and multiple diet changes. Not the ones that this vet recommended, which were making his condition worse. NOW, he's in kidney failure, and yet another vet told me no way is he only 3 years old. We love this little dog, but we thought we were adopting/buying ($400) a healthy puppy that would likely be with us for a lot of years. He has days left to live, and we're gutted. We also got multiple stories on his previous home after confronting the vet on his age when I last went here. Save yourself from a dirty clinic, unresponsive vet, up-charged procedures and go somewhere else. read more

no no no no. This place is horrible. Horrible service and if you have any compassion for your pups do not take them here. We had both of our pups neutered and dew claws removed and this has turned into a 3 week process. They have been in pain and miserable since their surgery. Their incision have not healed despite being wrapped and wearing cones. They made us come back 4 different times, each time we call we hear two different answers. Our dog even had to get another staple in their incision site. They made us pay for more pain meds after already spending 1200 in the first place, we were also originally quoted 600 for both. AMY who always answers the phone has given us misinformation every single time. She has no compassion and just wants to swipe your card. So now after 3 weeks our dogs are still in cones and wrapped up. This will be our 5th time going to have them checked on. Looking up recovery time this is outrageous for a 9 month old pup. If we had not already spent all our time and money at this location we would have already went somewhere else. The vet is never available after 3 pm. How are we suppose to have our dogs seen during the week when we work 8-4 jobs. This place needs to get their things in order. This has been the worst experience, and Ive gone through this process multiple dogs growing up and it was never like this. I wish this place cared more about my dogs and how they are doing rather than charge us more. They didn't even have cones for our dogs, so the day we picked up our pups we had to drive to a store just to purchase cones. Ugh. So frustrated beyond belief . read more

Even tho we had to wait an hour to see the doctor because of another emergency, she was very nice and answered all my questions! Smaller waiting room and was too full to wait in so we waited outside. Staff was friendly and my dog wasn't as scared as I thought she would have been. read more

I brought my recently adopted cat in for a wellness check up and some booster shots. I arrived on time and waited 45 minutes to be seen. The waiting room was small and full of dogs. The vet scolded me for feeding my cat commercial cat food (a mix of wet and dry), and recommended transitioning to a completely raw food diet. This confused me, as the American Veterinary Medical Association has released statements cautioning against raw pet food diets. I think I will seek a different vet in the future. read more

I had a very bad and sad experience here , I took my sick dog over this place, they took her inside and they didn't let me see her for three days I stop by like 4 times at the same day, trying to see her, they told me to pick her up in two days, when I pick her up they told me my dog was dead and they give a 1.000 dollars bill. Until today I never find out what happened with my dog, in my hart I believe she die at the first day.... They just want it make money. Otherwise they would it let me see her, it was my right. read more

I have taken my dog here several times. I never liked that they tell you the visit will cost $46 and then always tack on something to get it up to about $100. They charge $20 to have any prescription filled there, so you have to pay for the prescription plus $20. (It took me a while and many questions to get them to break down the cost of the prescription into these two amounts.) The last time I went, they wanted to charge me $50 for a prescription of 30 Rimadyl which is an anti-inflammatory. I couldn't pay that much, so I took a lesser amount of 10 Rimadyl which was still $30--$1 per pill and then the $20 prescription charge. Looking back, I should have just gotten the prescription and had it filled elsewhere. Anyway, so I went online to a pharmacy to get a better price for the remainder of the prescription (60 cents per pill with no extra charges). I gave the pharmacy Animal Medical Services' info to approve the prescription. Five days later, I get a call from Animal Medical Services saying that they aren't going to fill the prescription because according to their records my dog's vaccines are not current. They offered to give my dog her vaccines for $55. Well, my dog was current on her vaccines and she had current tags on when I took her in for her initial visit two weeks earlier. They made me contact the place my dog had gotten her vaccines and have them fax the vaccination records to them before they would approve the prescription. I did this the same day. They then waited another two days before faxing in the prescription approval and declined one of the prescriptions (I had ordered two different quantities and dosages of the same generic medication because it was cheaper). They did not tell me that they had declined one of the orders. This put my order on hold because the pharmacy couldn't send it out with a "decline" on it. When I saw that the order had been declined (email), I called Animal Medical Services. They could not tell me when the fax had been sent and did not tell me that they had declined one of the orders. I did finally get it all sorted out, but from the time I placed the order, it was a total of 11 days before it was actually approved and sent out. All this time, my dog was in pain. This office represented to me that it was illegal and unethical to write a prescription for a dog if their vaccinations were not up to date. This is not true. Also, I had determined that acupuncture would be beneficial for my dog's arthritis. I called this office and asked for a referral to someone who does acupuncture for dogs. The vet's reply was that chiropractic would be better for the dog than acupuncture. And, magically, this vet does chiropractic on dogs. Yet another opportunity for her to make some money, instead of helping me with my request They declined to give me a referral for acupuncture. All in all, I conclude that this vet is more concerned about putting money in her pocket than helping your pet. I also feel that the office staff deliberately kept information from me, or gave me inaccurate information, even though my questions were very direct. They were reluctant to give me information or help me when there was no money going into their wallet. read more

My dog went in for bloodwork since he was puking up his food every time he ate. It turns out it was just the food brand that was not good quality. As soon as I changed his food. He stopped puking and he was back to normal. His appointment was a total of $200. It was $150 for blood work & $50 for his appointment.. I dropped off my dog at 8:30am & they told me the results for blood work would only take 30 mins. So I gave them all morning, I called at around noon & I let them know I could take my lunch to go and pick him. They told me the results weren't ready & that they were super busy so I should just take my lunch. So basically they had him confined in a kennel all day for a test that only takes 30 minutes.. When I went to pick him up they wanted to charge me for antibiotics and probiotics which was going to come out to a total of $300.. It was just his food that was affecting him so why would I give him several antibiotics. Now, I haven't gotten to the best part about my visit. 4 days after his stay, my dog started getting sick, he started coughing & hacking non stop.. So after some research and talking to friends I found out he has symptoms of kennel cough. So I call the Vet & I let them know what was going on. Their response was "Oh that could be very likely, Kennel cough has been going around the clinic.." she also told me that I should bring him for another appointment and that medication was going to be about $50. WAIT A SECOND. So basically I spent $200 so my healthy dog could get kennel cough? Had I known that Kennel Cough was "going around" I would have never let them board my dog for the day. Super disappointed in their customer service, and it's very clear all they care about is money. I was going to start going there for all of his needs. Now thanks to that experience they will no longer have my business. read more
