I took a stray here that I found and the vet was very gentle with her, and it seemed like he actually cared about the animal, which is not something you always get with vets. She (the cat) also looked like she could possibly need surgery so I was worried that I was going to be pushed into doing that or getting additional unnecessary X-rays, but I was pleasantly surprised that the doctor wasn't just trying to pump me for money. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the reception staff is not the best. Every time I've come in, all three of them are chatting and I have to wait for them to get done before I can check in for my appointment or pay for it afterward, which is kind of annoying and unprofessional. read more

Reading the negative ratings saddens me, but I have to say that there is good at this clinic. Dr Rimmasch has time and time again taken time out of his busy schedule for our diabetic Pomeranian. I wish I could leave a negative rating! I have been going to All About Pets for 7 years with my dogs. For 7 years I have appreciated that they allow me to drop my dogs off for grooming 15 minutes early so I can get to work on time. This month the heavy set lady at the front desk was furious I was there 15 minutes early. She was being rude and disrespectful and when I asked her why she was being so rude she said, "We don't open for another 15 minutes!" I said so you don't have to be so rude. She just said, "Whatever, get out, just leave, get out!" I called the store a couple hours later and asked to speak with the manager. Her response was, "This could have be avoided if I would have told them I was dropping off early when I made the appointment." Thing is I did and have done so every month for 7 years! Overall they are great people. But like previous posts, they are in it for the money. I went in because my dog was bitten by another dog and it cut open his ear. Didn't need stitches or antibiotics but I walked away paying $100. They cleaned my dogs ear (put neosporin on it) which cost $25 and put a cone on him (which is absolutely unnecessary) and cost another $25. It's not a ton of money but they didn't even give me the option of not getting the cleaning or the cone. They also left out the fact it would be extra until I was paying at the register. Again it's not a ton of money but i felt that they were trying to milk everything this cut was worth. I don't think I will be going back. read more

My original thought was to give 4 stars purely because of cost, not that it's more expensive than any other vet. I'll explain why I raised it later. I took my fur baby in for his yearly shots for his first visit there, the doctor was super friendly, talked to my dog the entire time and gave the shots during scratches and pets. My baby never yelped or got scared. I was very grateful. Since it was his first visit I had to pay for the shots plus an office visit which was more than I had anticipated, hence 4 stars. The reason I changed it to 5 was because I saw on a Facebook post from a labrador rescue that I follow that they were able to squeeze a very injured dog in to see the vet and were taking donations to pay the bill. It made me so happy to know they were helping out rescues. read more

My cat of 20 years was backed over by a car and brought here. The staff was unsympathetic, rushing a decision whether or not to put her down. After coming to a hard decision, we put her down and got her cremated and had zero contact for 3 weeks (ashes are supposed to come back in 2) so disappointed. There are lots of pet hospitals. Have been coming here for years and have never had major problems. In fact just yesterday I paid over $100 for a grooming/vaccinations and they tacked on an extra $30 for a "yearly exam". He just had an exam and over $200 worth of dental work done less than 6 months ago... whatever. I let it go. Today I brought our dog in with an emergency. He had just been hit by a car. Broken legs, Labored breathing, etc. we were turned away because they were all booked up with appointments... nice... You can't push back an appointment to treat an emergency? We usually take our 2 dogs to this place for grooming. We did not have much to said only one thing one of our dogs come always scary and a little sad. We though that they like to look like a mop but when my wife was picking up our two dog after grooming today, one of the groomers was yelling at a little dog that was without leash walking at the floor and after that she kicked the dog in front of my wife because the dog was not listening to her . I understand now why my dog is scary of this place ... Today is July 30 of 2018 if your dog is scary coming out of this place or is hurt now you know why. I have been taking my dog to all about pets for years, but the most recent interactions with them have been nothing but terrible. We have scheduled to have our dog neutered a few times. It had been rescheduled the first time due to the doctor not going to be there and then 2 other times due to corona, I understand but the way they handled it was annoying. We now have a new puppy and while on a walk he broke his leg. It was a Saturday and they closed in 30 minutes. We were 5 minutes away and I needed an emergency visit. They said that they were understaffed and they were closing soon and they couldn't see our dog. I feel that was unprofessional. I could see if they were closing in 5 minutes but 30 minutes would have been plenty of time. read more

I had a really hard time choosing a veterinary clinic. I took in my cat Ash-Lee in bcz he was having issues with his eyes. Doctor Arnold was great, he went over all the possible health issues. He did think Ash may have a terminal illness and he recommended some test be done. I decided to opt out of the test. It was just too expensive and I just couldn't afford them. Fast forward a whole year and a half and Ash is healthy and still alive. No health problems that I can see. I've given them 3 stars bcz I feel all that was being ask to be done was unnecessary. read more

This place did a good job with vaccinations. However, they charged us 15$ for a nail trim along with her vaccination appointment and ended up cutting my puppy's nails too close to the quick, to the point that she was bleeding a little bit on 3 of her paws. When I asked for a refund, they refused and said it wasn't their fault because my puppy was squirming. Fortunately she is fine, but I wouldn't recommend getting your pup's nails trimmed by the vet techs here! read more

I brought my cat in because he was lethargic and had a mass that made his belly bulge. After examination and an xray, the vet suggested that the cat probably had cancer. The vet said he could just evacuate the fluid to relieve my cat of his pain and discomfort, but that he was dying. He left the exam room, then obviously consulted with the vet-owner. He came back and said that they had to do more tests, that he couldn't remove the fluid/blood in our cat's belly. Remember folks, this is a business first and foremost. It is about the money first. The care comes secondly, if at all. My cat was dying. They wanted money. You decide. read more

My dogs have received decent veterinary care here, but I felt deeply betrayed and disappointed after my dog's last appointment when my veterinarian tried to push Hills Science Diet as the best option for pet food. I've done tons of research and know from my own experience with Hills that it is NOT a good choice for my dogs. They react badly to corn fillers and the food is low protein which is widely regarded as low quality. The vet was trying to say that too much protein is bad for dogs and they need corn for the fiber. This goes against all common sense and everything I have studied and researched in canine nutrition. I have lost faith in this office and feel that their priority is selling a product they've sold their soul to over doing what is actually best for their clients. read more

So my son brought his dog to all about pets to have it checked out we had called them beforehand they told us a certain price we get there give it they say they're going to give us a free sample of pills we go up to the front counter and then she tries to charge him an extra $13 for those pills the visit was fine until then they lied to us and then she can continue to tell me that the doctor told us that prices which is a lie when I asked to talk to the doctor she said he was too busy to talk to us I think this is very poor customer service and bad business practices I will never give him a good recommendation especially when it is a 14 year olds money paying for this read more

I really had great experience with Dr. Rimmasch and my dogs puppy shots! I called around as far as pricing and felt like this was comparable to all the others. I felt that he cared about my dog and I appreciated that! I did see another vet there for my first visit and although I don't have anything bad to say about him, I felt more at ease with Dr. Rimmasch. read more

We just moved to Provo and needed to find a new Veterinarian for our dog. We live close to this office, so we thought we would try it out. Worst idea ever. Honestly the worst vet we have ever been to. I can't even think of one thing I was happy about. They were not friendly at all. Front desk is not very inviting at all, timid and short with customers. It felt like they just wanted you out the door, and don't really care if you or your pet feel comfortable in their office. The actual Vet was terrified of our dog. He did nothing to the vet, he just went up and sniffed him (anyone knows that how a dog gets to know you) and he would pat him and say "woah boy." How in the hell are you a vet if you are scared of dogs?! That to me seems absolutely ridiculous. Make my dog love you, play with him, make him feel comfortable with you before you shove something up his ass. Don't act like you're scared of him. Dogs can feel that! While being scared, he had an assistant come in to hold our dog down while checking his temperature. Why I couldn't hold him, is beyond me. They take your dog off to another room to perform the shots. I have never had this happen before, and it didn't make me comfortable. Nor did my dog feel comfortable either I'm sure. Again, usually I hold him so he is calm and he never even notices. They told me I had to have tests done and things that I didn't want done since it wasn't relevant to our appointment (heartworm) because it was "animal cruelty" if I didn't. Sounds like nickel and diming if you ask me. The vet didn't care that my dog has anxiety with fireworks and long distance car rides, he said that was just the breed. It is, but if you ever were around him during 4th of July, you would know that he needs something to calm him down. Don't just push it aside and say it's his breed, trying to make me feel like I don't know my dog. Also, my dog is a little thinner than others. He hikes all the time, runs daily, is very very active. He is a VERY picky eater, and we try everything we can to put weight on him. We go to specialty stores to find things, try every kind of great food out there to help, and he doesn't gain a ton of weight. But he is HEALTHY. Don't tell me my dog is emaciated... Give me advice or something you were trained to so instead of accusatory comments. Overall, I am absolutely never recommending this office, I will never come back, we paid WAY too much, I honestly want to cancel the charge I am so upset about the experience. We took our Saint Bernard there to be groomed. The staff seemed friendly and I felt OK about leaving him there. I was so wrong and I will never go back there for any reason. When we got there to pick him up, a staff member took us back to the grooming area and I almost cried. They had my very large Saint Bernard crammed into a cage he couldn't stand up or move or lay down in and had blowers going full blast on him from both ends of the cage. He was obviously terrified and had messed himself. So instead of a happy, well groomed dog, we had a terrified one who smelled terrible. They got him out of the cage and all the girl did was take a few paper towels and wipe off some of the poop on his legs and feet. The poor animal had been potty trained forever and had only had an accident out of fear. We had to take him home and re-wash him anyway. I was so disgusted. It was abusive and not what you expect from a vetinary office. NEVER leave your pet with these people. read more

I paid over 250.00 for a blood test and some medication for my dog. She is a senior and has diarrhea. I am very concerned about her. I got a call from a number I did not recognize. I got a message that results are back. I have been calling for 3 days to get results. I am treated so rude by the receptionist Helen. She hangs up on me or says the dr will call back. I had major ankle surgery and can not drive or I would be there right now. Still no results. This place is horrible. I am so upset that this is happening. Do not go here!!!!!!! read more

We've been going to All About Pets for several years now. The very first time we went in years ago, Dr Rimmasch was the one who helped us. We could tell right then how much he loved animals! He's great with our dogs and we won't see any other vet. Our dogs also get yearly dental cleanings done by him, as well as all their vaccinations, heart worm prevention, yearly checkups and whenever they have any issues in between. HORRIBLE!!!! This is the worst place an I had to go there. I adopted a cat from Lost Paws. And to get the free health exam and spay you have to take them there. Well I went for the FREE health exam. Vet came in gave my cat shots without asking me first. Not a huge deal, but I would have rather done them myself. So I set up an appt to get her second set of shots. I ask first if it will cost the same as the first set. The stupid girl at the front says yes. I get her second set of shots and let me tell you $45 is not the same as $75. Dumb bitch. All I wanted to do was rescue an animal and get her fixed. etc. Not get screwed by the vet. Also when they took her temp they use an unclean thermometer and store it in a nice bottle of lube. communal. Very unclean read more

Great experience at all about pets. We have been taking 2 dogs here for about 8 years and we always know Dr. Arnold will take great care of them. Even after moving out of the area, we still bring our dogs back here because of their fantastic service. Everyone in the office is great EXCEPT for the receptionist Helen, who is a huge bitch. When I went in she talked to me like I was stupid for asking simple questions about their business. Unfortunately when I called later the same day to check on my pet Helen answered the phone. No "you're welcome" when I thanked her, no goodbye, just hung up the phone. Please DO NOT board your pets here. As someone who has been behind the scenes I can tell you, it is not a place I would ever leave my dog. They are walked twice a day, once in the morning around 8am and they are left in their small kennel all day (in their own mess) until the second walk around 6pm. On the small chance there is an eager Intern at the clinic that day they might get a short walk around noon as well. The boarding kennels are in the back room with one small frosted window for minimal natural light. If the overhead lights aren't turned on then it is very dark during the day and pitch black at night. That being said, the lights are only on during clinic hours (unless there is a yapping dog, then they turn the lights off) which means if your pet is boarding over the weekend they will be in complete darkness from mid Saturday to Monday morning. It's absolutely awful. For the same cost you can find much much better. read more
