Mandy a couple months after cataract surgery!
    Victoria P.

My dog had cataracts due to her diabetes. After she was diagnosed with the diabetes and lost her eye sight, we immediately went to see Dr. Lyons to get her checked out. The office provided us with a quote but did not pressure us to go with the surgery. I wanted to wait to get my dogs diabetes under control before we went with the procedure. In the meantime, my dog developed an eye ulcer and Dr. Lyons was quick to respond and provide us with a resolution. One year later, I decided to go with the cataract surgery because I could tell my dogs health was getting much better. The surgery definitely improved her quality of life and she was seemed like a new dog (more energetic, happy) and we could finally take her on long walks again. The procedure comes with a couple check up appointments, which I love. In addition, waiting time in that office is pretty nonexistent so you are in and out within 15 minutes! I'm so glad I went with Animal Eye Specialist for my dogs eye needs. They are decently priced and their work and care is outstanding. Thank you again Dr. Lyons and team for taking such great and gentle care of my dog!

After surgery to her right eye - surgery was on 4/3/25. This picture was taken on 5/1/25.

Last month Dr. Vig performed surgery on our cat's eye to remove a corneal sequestrum caused by the herpes virus. Everything went great and our cat's eye has healed beautifully. We are so grateful to Dr. Vig and everyone at Animal Eye Specialists! Everyone there is so nice and down-to-earth. It was a very pleasant experience.

The graft is healing after 3 weeks! Her vision is coming back as well

After suffering from a visit at Archvet, I went to my regular vet veterinary office and they recommended. I bring my dog to the animal eye specialist in Campbell. The first vet was an emergency vet, but they weren't equipped to handle her corneal eye ulcer. they had us pay $900 just for an eye exam and ointment when what they should have done was to send us to the eye specialist since there was nothing they could do at their hospital for my dog. This was money that we wasted instead of getting our dog seen right away. When I showed up to the animal specialist, I was in tears because it was the third office I had been to in less than 24 hours and at that point I was very uncertain that we could keep my dogs eye arch, but stressed my dog out so much that they ulcer actually got bigger and worse, and the ointment that they gave was a steroid, which is not recommended for ulcers because it could make them worse On the flipside when I arrived the reception team and the assistance were extremely helpful. They're explanations were detailed, and they knew how to calm the dog down in order to properly examine her eye without inflicting any more harm to her the decision to fix her eye was costly, but I didn't mind since it was so close to the same cost just to remove her eye, which would permanently blind her. I'm glad to say that we did go ahead and save her eye with a corneal graft and she is healing remarkably I am so happy that I came here and was directed here from my regular vet, and I am forever grateful to the veterinary team here for their time and attention and answering all the text messages during and after hours. They run an excellent business and I would recommend all of my clients to come here.

    After seeing Kristina

High praises for this office. I came in crying upon drop off and pick up, and I was met with empathy and caring staff. Kristina, the vet, was amazing in her diagnosis for my cat, although it was unclear as to why my cats eye was bulging out. She took in my cat for the day and did different procedures to find a solution. I got: Ultrasound, three forms of meds, exam, stain and it came out to $700 which I think was a fair price, as I paid $300 the day before at ArchVet which wasn't helpful at all. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Lyons and her staff are amazing! My pup Zorah (rat terrier/basenji mix) eye became infected after getting a small hair from a plant in it. It developed into glaucoma within weeks. Dr. Lyons recommended enucleation (removal of the eye) because the glaucoma already caused blindness in the eye and her eye was inflamed which was causing chronic migraines. For a week Zorah was in pain and didn't want to play and barely ate. Not even 24 hours after surgery Zorah was back to her normal playful self! It's amazing how resilient dogs are. Thank you, Dr. Lyons and your staff for providing such amazing care and treatment! Also, this was the first veterinarian medical practice I brought Zorah too where she wasn't nervous being there and after at her second visit, she was actually excited being there. Thank you for making such a devastating experience easier to handle and for providing such exceptional care throughout the whole process! P.S. To all you doggie owners out there, make sure your pups don't play around any plants or weeds that have little hairs on them. I never knew how much damage a little plant hair could cause until now :(

Special day today. Stitches were removed.

After the appointment, I was told someone would bring a welcome kit. I waited about 30 minutes, assuming there was something else that needed to be discussed. Later, another staff member informed me the nurse had already gone on lunch break. No one apologized or acknowledged the wait. It wasn't about the free welcome kit. It was about being told something would be brought to me, waiting patiently, and then finding out no one followed through. A simple "sorry for the wait" would have made a big difference. They were understanding and I ended up cancelling all together because my vet was right, her bump did go away! 4 stars as they're quite expensive. A consultation just to see a doctor would have been $384 and they take a deposit of $96. I can see charging a lot for emergency but not a scheduled visit a week out. After recently moving out of state, we realized our dog's medication was almost out and contacted the clinic for a refill. Instead of helping, we were told they "could not" refill the prescription because we now live out of state. This made no sense to us, especially since we were able to refill other prescriptions through our in state Costco without issue. We were then told our dog would need to come in for another visit before they would authorize anything, despite it not even being a full year since his last appointment. At that point, it honestly felt less about the health and well-being of our pet and more about forcing another office visit and collecting more money. What made the situation even worse was the way we were treated during the interaction. Jessica, Dr. Garcia's head nurse, was rude and spoke to us in a very condescending manner throughout the conversation. Instead of showing empathy or professionalism, she made the entire experience feel hostile and uncomfortable during an already stressful situation involving our dog's medication. When you are dealing with a pet that depends on medication, the last thing you expect is to feel dismissed and pressured financially. We trusted this clinic with our dog's care, but this experience completely changed our opinion. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone looking for compassionate or patient-focused veterinary care.

We ended up taking him in, as we just couldn't get things under control on our own and he was clearly in a lot of pain. A technician took him back to assess him quickly, got him cleaned up, located the source of the bleeding and cleaned his wounds. And of course he was an angel for her... (why can't he be like that for me?!?!). Once again, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. They never minimize what you're dealing with... if they thought it was silly reason to be there, they sure didn't make it seem that way to me. They took our concerns seriously and were very supportive, and took excellent care of our cat. The other thing I really appreciate with the team here is that they aren't trying to add on or charge for unnecessary services. Costs are explained clearly and feel very fair. If he had bothered to do that and not been a lazy jerk my cat might still be alive. I will never forgive you. I hope people take what I'm saying seriously and find another vet. My cat apparently had ulcers in his mouth and a severe tooth infection which would have been caught if he LOOKED IN HIS MOUTH FOR TWO SECONDS. Before this the first red flag that I saw happened and I should have listened to my gut and found someone else. My other cat is blind and does not / cannot groom herself very well. She is also aggressive, so the only time I can get her butt area completely shaved without her being stressed is when she's under for her teeth cleanings. This office agreed and promised me that they would do it. I told them I would find another office if they were uncomfortable because my cat needs this for her health, and they PROMISED. Even when I dropped her off I asked again and they said they made a note and again promised. When I went to pick her up they didn't do it. This made me worried they didn't even clean her teeth because they didn't even give me an update. They did remove a mole I asked them to, but how am I supposed to trust that they cleaned her teeth? Also, her butt hadn't been cleaned either and I had to cause her enormous stress doing it because of her aggression to being brushed / shaved. It might not sound like a big deal, but it is. That was absolutely not okay, but I decided everyone has off days and to continue to go to this dr. Never again. Keep your animals safe and find someone else.
