Reed saw my dog and based on the examination and the symptoms my friend described, decided to do some blood work.

We are still navigating this situation, but Dry Creek Animal Hospital has been with us every step of the way. The staff is so caring, and I can feel how sincere they are when they provide care or ask about pets. Dr. Anthony is a fantastic doctor who gives every visit all of her focus and caring, and Naomi is always so helpful and maintains great communication. I would definitely recommend Dry Creek to anyone in the area looking for the best care for their pets. And to the staff, sincerely, thank you. Akai is my best friend. I appreciate everything you all do.

But I got the feeling he didn't like me asking so many questions, and in our most recent appointment he asked me "Any other questions...?" with a smirk, and it made me feel bad. He doesn't provide any additional information though, so if you don't ask questions you're only getting the bare minimum information. I've never had him offer up "frequently asked question" type info or context. Dr. Anthony is a different story. When explaining the differential diagnosis for my dog's symptoms, it felt like she was thinking out loud and for an extended period with no confident recommendation. I had to ask "what would you do if this were your dog?" because it wasn't clear at all from the presentation of her thoughts. The front desk staff are very nice and responsive, but availability is a problem. I called because my dog had hurt her paw and was limping, but wouldn't let me get a close look at it. They didn't have any openings for TWO WEEKS. They did offer that I could drop her off and leave her for a day so the vet could see her between other patients. But here's the catch- that option is 25% more expensive than a regular vet visit and I can't even be there to ask questions (not to mention this plan requires two trips over there). The receptionist acknowledged that they are busy and are aware of the problem (per her: they start each day with some "same day" openings but those quickly get booked) but she admitted there are no plans to address this issue.

She was there for a few weeks and we decided to take her in. She had all her vaccines at Alpha (we bought the kitten package). We also got her spayed here in January. While it's more expensive to spay here, I think it's worth it because they do a blood panel. She actually had some high kidney markers and we postponed her spay. Got her retested a month later and all good. Everyone here is fabulous, especially Dr. Peet and Sophia! I've referred 3 friends here as well as my mom who rescued a kitten too. Everyone loves Alpha! They're honest and upfront with pricing.

It is really important to not only research the USDA website criteria but also to be very timely and accurate on who and how you go through this process. Today I made a call to Alpha to ask for information and help with the process. Sophie answered the phone and I was extremely thankful she did. She is a fountain of knowledge about the USDA process and was able to give me very important advice as to how and what is needed for the country we are desiring our pet to go. Sophie is the most informative person I've met in this process. She gives very accurate advice and also warns of the problems that can arise in the process which is greatly helpful in people desiring their pets to travel as streamlined and efficiently as possible. Thank you so much Sophie for your help today. You are an asset to the Veterinary/animal community and to people who genuinely love their pets.

We've brought our lab / golden retriever in for dental cleanings and checkups, and Dr. Shani is always thorough, gentle, and great at communicating back in a timely manner. She takes the time to answer our questions and never makes us feel rushed. Willow Glen Pet Hospital's whole team makes dental care feel low-stress for both pets and owners, easy scheduling (Angel at the front desk), clear pricing, and genuine care from check-in to pickup. If you're in San Jose and looking for a vet who's great with pet dental cleanings, exams, and general wellness care, we highly recommend their whole team. The total came out to be $353 for the kennel cough vaccine, heartworm tests, the flea/tick/heartworm pill, and a general checkup. They actually pick up their phones, unlike some nearby veterinarian offices! They have an online scheduler or you can call. I was able to call and make an appointment for the following week. They were friendly and knowledgable about the issue I was having with my cat. On the day of the appointment we went in through the cat entrance, it's the same shared lobby but 2 waiting areas. We were able to get seen within a few minutes of waiting in the room. Our vet was answering all my questions and gave me a ton of useful information. And my cat was very comfortable around her. She received 2 vaccinations, and a prescribed flea treatment pill. Each vaccine was Around $80. Note- if you sign up online you can get a free first time visit. This place is a little bit pricier than other offices, however their thorough examination and ability to answer all your questions makes it worth it.

After the appointment, I was told someone would bring a welcome kit. I waited about 30 minutes, assuming there was something else that needed to be discussed. Later, another staff member informed me the nurse had already gone on lunch break. No one apologized or acknowledged the wait. It wasn't about the free welcome kit. It was about being told something would be brought to me, waiting patiently, and then finding out no one followed through. A simple "sorry for the wait" would have made a big difference. Because of this experience, I decided to cancel our future appointments.

Our most recent visit our cat got a sticky (glue) fly trap stuck to him, which may seem like a silly thing to bring a cat to emergency for... but the level of freaked out that he was, we were having difficulty handling him, and he was bleeding and we couldn't determine from where. I called to ask for advice on how to handle the situation, which they gladly gave. The person at the front desk even called me back after she talked to a technician and had additional information for me! We ended up taking him in, as we just couldn't get things under control on our own and he was clearly in a lot of pain. A technician took him back to assess him quickly, got him cleaned up, located the source of the bleeding and cleaned his wounds. And of course he was an angel for her... (why can't he be like that for me?!?!). Once again, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. They never minimize what you're dealing with... if they thought it was silly reason to be there, they sure didn't make it seem that way to me. They took our concerns seriously and were very supportive, and took excellent care of our cat. The other thing I really appreciate with the team here is that they aren't trying to add on or charge for unnecessary services. Costs are explained clearly and feel very fair. I haven't once felt like they were taking advantage of the emergency nature of a situation. Again... really good people here.
