FEELIN' FLY
Lex N.

This is the ONLY vet clinic I trust with my beloved soulmate/baby, Andy, almost 8 year old female Shih-Tzu. I refer everyone to Surgery Center Silicon Valley any chance I get. Doesn't matter if I text at 2am or on a weekend - I consistently get a response usually right away, if not, within a few hours. Heaven gained an angel when we lost the late, great Dr. Bolden (God bless his soul) Despite only knowing him for a year or two, I couldn't help but cry when I learned of his passing. He practiced veterinary medicine for 55+ years and it was very clear that he loved his work. At first I was deeply concerned the clinic was going to go to sh*t, but all my fears were put to rest when I returned with Andy and saw that the incredible women that run this place have really held it together. Dr. Erin Campbell is just as kind, compassionate, reasonable, funny, knowledgable and committed to satisfying the high standard of excellence I was used to with Dr. Bolden. Unlike other vets, this place will NOT rob you blind or make you sell an arm and a leg to get your furry family members the proper medical care they deserve. They will never prey on your vulnerability/desperation and exploit you for money. There is also a pet hotel and groomer on site (the entire facility looks like a converted residential home, and the groomer is in the front half - to get to the vet, you have to go towards the back, through two gates). I personally would never put my Andy in a hotel, but if I had no other choice I would bring her here. And the groomer is fantastic, Andy got a full service grooming today for $85 (not including tip), which really is a steal compared to how much other places cost. I dropped her off at 10am and they took the time to really do a beautiful, thorough job. They called to let me know they were done at 3. Andy is a pain in the @$$ when it comes to haircuts but she looks stunning!! Obviously great care and effort went into what I'm sure was quite the ordeal. Long story short, I not only highly recommend Dr. Erin Campbell at Surgery Center Silicon Valley, but their grooming service as well.

I'm so grateful when I searched Yelp that Surgery Center Silicon Valley popped up. We took our miniature schnauzer in to see Dr. Erin Campbell because he had a cyst on his eyelid. During the examination she also found a small lump under his armpit. We saw her on a Monday and he went in for surgery on Friday. The surgery was a success and he recovered well. Dr. Erin Campbell is very experienced and very friendly. Everyone at this vet office from Dr. Campbell, Michelle and the receptionist is helpful, caring, and extremely friendly. I'm so happy to find a vet locally with affordable pricing. They do in-house blood work so that helps keep cost low. I use to drive two hours to a vet in Stockton to save money for vet cost but now I can just take my dogs to Dr. Erin Campbell. I highly recommend this vet office and they would love your support!

Dr Bolden was a true saint! The community lost a truly amazing, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and generous man/ veterinarian/ good Samaritan with the passing of this one of a kind animal doctor! In the 30 plus years from my first time meeting Dr Bolden (who cared for all of my dear friend Doug H. Fur babies).. & eventually for mine and my children's pets.. this vet has always put the needs of the pets first.. even before his own pockets! Not a greedy bone in his body! Always smiling and blessing the community of pet owners who couldn't always afford quality care for their pets a safe haven and a caring staff to turn to! He had wonderful assistants and staff.. his better half Karen always going above and beyond as well as a number of assistants who followed his lead in kindness and placing their pet patients needs before the need of collecting a bill! MY HEART GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY/ children, To Karen, his former staff and especially to all the precious pets and their owners who feel sadness with his passing! You will be truly missed Dr. Bolden! Gail, Gabriel, Zach, Doug And of course ZELDA, REMY, ELVIS (R.I.P Elvis), Joe Joe, & Harley.. and SOOOOO MANY OTHERS!

I am a current dog parent of 4, and long time owner and foster of over 20 dogs. Dr. Bolden was wonderful the couple of times we saw him. We are sad that he is gone and know his clients must be devastated. The current vet is Dr. Erin Campbell and we have known her for 12 years. She is practical, caring and doesn't perform unnecessary tests, vaccinations, procedures etc just to make money. I believe Dr Bolden chose her to carry on his way as best as possible. Her prices are the lowest you will find in the Bay Area. I have dealt with many other vet offices and trust her the most, and therefore have followed her through 3 different clinics over the past 12 years. I am so grateful she has been able to come help Dr Bolden's clients and is working here now.

I received a response offering an exam appointment (which I expected), along with the soonest available opening, but no information about pricing -- not even the cost of the exam itself. I replied asking for both the exam fee and availability. They responded by booking an appointment date and time, again without answering my question about pricing. I had to follow up a third time explaining that I needed to know the cost before confirming, and I was finally told the exam would be $60, which seemed reasonable. Since it was actually my brother's dog, I sent him to the appointment. After the visit, he was quoted $1,600-$2,000 for treatment, which was unfortunately out of his budget. While that happens and isn't necessarily the issue, I was disappointed to find out he had been charged $80 for the exam instead of the $60 I was originally told. When I reached out via text, they explained they "forgot" to apply the new client discount -- something that had never been mentioned to me beforehand. They offered either a refund or to apply the difference toward future services. Since we had already found another clinic that could do the same services for around $1,200, I asked for the $20 refund back to the card. After that, I never heard back. No confirmation of the refund, no apology for the overcharge, nothing. I understand veterinary care is expensive, and it's not their fault my brother is a broke college student. But basic customer service and communication go a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning or recommending this office.

I have gone to Dr. Singh for regular vaccines, surgeries, prescription meds, and lately euthanasia for my old dog. 10/10 service each time. I'm so thankful for Dr. Singh and Marcos! In 2022, my senior dog Clifford needed an emergency surgery to remove multiple bladder stones. I initially took him to an emergency vet and they quoted me $12k for surgery. The next morning, I called Aborn Pet Clinic and Dr. Singh said he would take us in that same day, quoting only $1500! After surgery, Dr. Singh called that everything went well and he was ready for pick up. However, there was bleeding from his stitches since the surgery was complex and Dr. Singh offered to let my dog stay until closing so they can monitor him. He even offered to keep him over the weekend and would come in the office to check in. But we wanted my dog home to watch 24/7, so we came back ~7pm to pick him up. Dr. Singh then thoroughly explained the aftercare/cleaning process, medication, stitches removal, etc. At checkout I was expecting a much higher cost (since the surgery was more complicated, extra bloodwork, anesthesia, extra monitoring, special meds), but Dr. Singh still only charged me $1500! I asked him twice mentioning the extra care needed, but he still kept his word and maintained the original cost. Even after we took him home, Dr. Singh emailed us to check how my dog was doing over the weekend and he responded quickly to any questions we had. Removing stiches a few weeks later was quick and easy. Thank you Dr. Singh and Marcos for saving my dog! The emergency surgery gave us 4 more years with him. In 2026, when it was time to put Clifford to sleep, we also went back to Dr. Singh. He showed great sympathy to my family and explained the process in an informative and caring way. He allowed our whole family in the room to be with Clifford when he passed. My dog hated the vet's office, so we are so grateful to be able to be with him at that time. Summary: -Dr. Singh and Marcos are great people who really care about their pet patients -Great communication and quick responses via email -Clean clinic (front reception area and back surgery room are very clean!) -Affordable cost!!! -Good quality of care; no BS and he will only recommend you necessary services -Dr. Singh is honest, straightforward, and goes through info quickly since it's only him and Marcos. He is very responsive via email.

My senior cat has been very sick and I scheduled an appointment with this doctor (Singh). My appointment being out two weeks. I've called many times, 80% of the time they don't pick up their phones and the voicemail is completely full, so unprofessional. I was told to email any prior records via email so he can get a better idea. The exact day and time I emailed the records, he writes back like a child and says can you come now at 3pm. Which is two hours away from the appointment time, I live an hour away and am working like adults usually do. I asked if there were any other times, His response was well I'm ready, your schedule is busy. I've never met someone more cold and have no care for patients or their pets. If I was treated this way as a new patient, I don't want to know how regular patients are treated. This is suppose to be a doctor who can't even spell properly and speaks like a child with 1-2 words per communication attempt. Please do us a favor and learn some social skills. Pets are family for some folks. You might be doing this for the money or doctor status but we take our pets very serious! Response to your comment- you are entitled to your opinion and I am as well. You also called my sister today who is also a patient and you emailed her you will no longer see her. You're just a pity and unprofessional person. I have no reason or gain to fib on my review. No adult who has a full time job can leave mid day, can you leave mid day if you have a surgery or appointments scheduled.. realistic answer is no. Save your time.

Finding a good vet that is at a privately owned hospital has been a challenge and after reading their website and hearing good things from a couple of colleagues, I drove over an hour each way for appointments with each of my dogs. I saw Dr. Cauvel and was very impressed with his knowledge, he recognized it was better for me to handle my super excitable malinois vs have her go into the back for her vaccination, and most importantly, when I presented him with a more complex issue on one of my dogs and I presented my thoughts, he didn't treat me like my background was somehow a threat like I have experienced before. He went out of his way to review some information and photos I emailed after the appointment and we decided on what to try. I was really thrilled with my experience with this vet at this practice with both of my dogs, and despite the drive will definitely be coming back for future needs.

I strongly advise against trusting this clinic with any major surgery. I brought my rescue cat here…read morefor treatment of nose cancer, which they had already diagnosed as being present throughout his entire nose. Despite this, they completely ignored one side of his nose during treatment and committed multiple acts of severe professional negligence. 1. Failure to Follow Agreed Treatment Plan: I paid for and consulted on an aggressive, complete nose removal. The consulting veterinarian explicitly stated that the surgery "would be a waste" unless the entire nose was removed because leaving any cancer behind would cause it to return aggressively. Instead, a general practice surgeon--whom I was never permitted to speak with--made a unilateral mid-surgery decision to perform a minimal "scrape," leaving 2/3 of the tumor and visible cancerous bulbs intact. 2. Complete Violation of Informed Consent: If the surgeon did not feel capable or comfortable performing the agreed-upon nose removal once my cat was sedated, they had a strict medical and ethical obligation to call me from the operating room. By failing to contact me, they denied me my legal right to decline a substandard procedure, wake my cat up, and immediately transfer him to a qualified veterinary oncologist or specialist who could perform the surgery correctly. 3. Total Lack of Post-Operative Communication: When I picked up my cat after major surgery, the clinic provided absolutely zero communication or discharge instructions. I had to discover via text message that they failed to complete the agreed-upon service. They then falsely claimed the cancer was only on one side, directly contradicting their own previous diagnosis and what was clearly visible. Because of their failure to remove the tumor as promised, the cancer returned with extreme aggression. I had to euthanize my cat because this clinic robbed him of his only opportunity to receive a proper, complete surgery from a qualified professional. I have the full text message logs, emails, and images confirming this timeline. A formal complaint regarding this professional negligence and failure to obtain informed consent is being filed directly with the State Veterinary Board. Do not trust them with your animal's life. Response to owner : There is a fundamental difference between a "medically complex" adjustment and a complete change in surgical scope without owner consent. The explicit, documented purpose of Tom Tom's consultation was a complete nose removal. I was explicitly told by your staff that a partial removal or "minimal scrape" would not be effective given the aggressive nature of his cancer. Yet, while he was sedated, Dr. Eileen made the unilateral decision to pivot to a minimal scrape, leaving active cancerous bulbs behind, without ever calling me to get my informed consent. By failing to call me from the operating room, you denied me my legal right as a client to decline a sub-standard procedure. Had I been contacted, I would have immediately instructed the clinic to wake him up so I could transfer him to a qualified veterinary oncologist or specialist who was capable of performing the agreed-upon surgery. Furthermore, your clinic attempted to retain 100% of the funds for a complete nose removal until I forced accountability through a series of extensive emails. Your own text message records confirm that the surgeon only focused on one side of the nose, directly contradicting the agreed-upon treatment plan. This is a clear issue of professional negligence and a failure to obtain informed consent, not a misunderstanding of "expectations." I will not be having further private discussions with management to help cover up this clinic's lack of informed consent. The time for discussion was when Tom Tom was on the operating table. All further correspondence from me will be handled directly through the formal complaint I am filing with the State Veterinary Board.

Our family lost a dog right before Christmas in 2024. He began exhibiting concerning symptoms, and late at night, an appointment was made to bring him in the following morning. Unfortunately, he didn't make it through the night, and his unexpected passing was incredibly devastating to us, especially because my brother, his primary caretaker, was working out of state and not able to be there in his final moments. The next morning, shortly before the scheduled appointment, I called to let them know what happened and apologize that we would be missing the appointment on such short notice. The woman on the phone was so incredibly kind and compassionate. She comforted me and let me know that we could bring him to them, and they would arrange his cremation, if that is what we wanted. My mother and I loaded him into the back of her van, devastated, and she drove him to San Jose Animal Hospital. Upon her arrival, the staff members promptly came outside, loaded our sweet beloved boy onto a gurney and took him inside. They hugged my mother and showed her a level of love and compassion that truly moved her to tears. The subject of payment was not brought up once at this time. They spoke with my brother over the phone and let him know all of the available options that he had and assured him that everything would be taken care of. The cost was very reasonable, and a few weeks later, Major's ashes were delivered to us in a beautiful urn, with a handwritten note of sympathy, his collar, and a paw print they had taken, things we had never even thought about in our state of grief. I truly appreciate the love that was shown to us during this time. Its taken me a while to leave them a review, only because it is a very sore subject. If this is the level of care they showed to our dog in death, I can only imagine how they treat the living pets in their care. Thank you so much.

They definitely upcharge for medication so I would recommend getting it elsewhere (there are lots of online services for that). They also upcharge for vaccinations. We like to use VIP petcare for vaccinations, there are multiple locations in the area and the cost is like a third of what Archvet charges. When our dog had a life threatening infection last year, we rushed her to Archvet and was told she needed surgery in the next 24 hours, otherwise she would need to be put down. They quoted us $12,000 for the surgery. I was flabbergasted they would try to take advantage of an emotionally sensitive time and I wouldn't be surprised if they did this to every client. I scrambled and did research, found Warm Springs Vet in Milpitas, who did the surgery for $4000 instead. Crazy, right?
