There is no need to pay for expensive dental cleaning for your pet. Unless there is a need for extracting a tooth why would we place our precious pet under anesthesia? The whole process was less than 30 minutes and cost only $268. The light therapy treatment and staff at Petlight are truly wonderful. Seven years ago, my then 2 year old French bulldog Oliver experienced his first bout of IVDD. I was told his back was "a train wreck" and he'd likely need spinal surgery, I instead opted to give Petlight a try first. Best decision ever! He recovered fully after about 10 sessions. Fast forward this month, 7 years later, when he had another IVDD episode and couldn't stand or walk well. I brought him right back to PetLight! Maggie, our 9 year old dog, was diagnosed with IVDD and they gave us 3 options: surgery, manage her symptoms with meds, or put her to sleep. I recommend this place! I brought my dog Millie here to help treat her hip and stomach issues. Everyone here is helpful and welcoming. Most importantly, I did notice improvement in my dog! Her limp has gone away (I believe both due to the red light therapy and changing her diet/weight loss). I recently took my dog to get red light therapy after the noticed my dog Whiskey had reacted when she touched his back. I was concerned this was the start of IVDD. When you call, the same guy will answer every time. Doesn't matter that you are kind and genuinely inquiring about the service... he doesn't want to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. As if the website can address every concern I could have as a mom with a dying fur baby. He is quite condescending in his tone and word choice. I'm not sure why he would be a receptionist at a therapy center if he isn't very professional or kind with the way he talks to customers. Go be a receptionist at the DMV or something that can go without nurturing tones. I wouldn't know of the product is any good because I didn't feel comfortable bringing my dog into a space with such condescending tones. I am not convinced that this treatment will be able to provide my 16 year old dog anything more than a couple months of prolonging. I just wanted to give my old "pup" another chance at life by receiving service in a space that feels nurturing. Now I just feel defeated. I can only assume the vet is the same way, so I didn't risk it. Condescending people in therapeutic spaces are what is wrong with this world. Huge loss to this clinic and community as it's very obvious he cares about your pet and isn't just in it for the money. 0 star for interactions with the owner Dan who is the complete opposite. My dog passed away so I asked for a refund for the remaining sessions. Arrived in person to the clinic before its posted hours and he shooed us away, saying it's been too long and to call back. (My dog died in Feb, sorry getting money back for him wasn't a priority). I called to provide context and he interrupted every other sentence and didn't even react to my dog passing. Told me it was too late AGAIN, and to call back later. Called back and he finally looked me up, chuckled that I only had 1 session left and told me I had to visit in person. This treatment is remarkable. I truly did not think the results I saw on their online videos were possible until I saw them with my own eyes for our elderly dog. Our dog Charli is 16 and was experiencing severe back pain from arthritis and an injury. She could barely walk but was otherwise in great health. We tried acupuncture and medication with mild results, but once we started light therapy here she improved almost completely back to her old self within a month. We now do not need to administer any steroids or NSAIDs to our dog, which means no nasty side effects like uncontrolled urination. We came to Petlight after our dog Ziggy had TPLO surgery to repair a torn CCL. The staff here are amazing! Welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. They really did seem to genuinely love Ziggy and get excited to see him and give him treats and pet pets. So of course, Ziggy being the attention whore that he is, loved going here. I can't really speak to the efficacy of the treatment since I don't really have any kind of control to compare it to. I don't know how quickly Ziggy would have healed without treatment because this was his first TPLO surgery but we're really glad we brought him here. It definitely didn't hurt and the whole experience was fantastic! Kelly gave us some very solid advice about the mechanics of Ziggy's injury (and musculoskeletal system as a whole) which alone was worth it. We cannot thank Dr. Thompson and the Petlight staff enough for the care and healing of our 3yo French Bulldog Ruckus. One morning in March 2019, Ruckus was overexcited for breakfast and leapt off our couch in full flight and landed on our exercise rower. He shook it off and was fine. However, a week later, he suddenly yelped and was shivering in extreme pain. After rushing him to SAGE at 1am in the morning, the ER neurologist advised that Ruckus' had slipped his C5 and C6 vertebrae. We were sent home with meds and a follow up in a few days. What followed was a near disastrous situation (see our SAGE review). Upon our follow up, the SAGE neurologist, Dr. Beryl Swanson, tried to intimidate my wife into admitting Ruckus to immediate surgery, to the tune of around $10,000, not including the MRI costs. She advised Ruckus was not responding to meds and surgery was the only option as "all Frenchies will eventually need surgery." Otherwise, Ruckus would need to be put down. My tearful wife called me and jointly decided that SAGE could go "fudge themselves". I asked around for physical therapy options and our human chiropractor suggested Dr. Thompson at Petlight. This was the best decision we ever made for our pet. We reached out to Dr. Thompson and after an initial consult via text, we brought Ruckus in for his first appointment. Ruckus was nervous, in pain, and still wonky from his meds. The staff explained the typical therapy course and suggested that we purchase the 10-session package to be the best rate and most value for Ruckus' recovery. Dr. Thompson is always so gentle with spinal adjustments and using the infra-red heating pads to reduce inflammation. He also gave great advice on lifestyle changes: no more rough play or tuggies, no more unsupervised couch time, loosen or remove doggie doors, etc. The whole staff is friendly, caring and never condescending or rude. Every once in a while the staff is a little scattered but it's a small office and things happen. After 10 sessions over the span of a couple of months, Ruckus has a clean bill of health. His back and neck are stronger and NO surgery was needed. We even got a second opinion from our regular vet and she was so supportive of alternative therapy. She said that Ruckus was "absolutely NOT" a candidate for surgery and SAGE should have offered it only as a last resort. We are so happy to have our baby boy back in action, albeit at a more reserved pace but he is happy and healthy again. In October 2016, our 15 1/2 year old poodle Lanikai could not walk because her back legs wouldn't work. Petlight Therapy Center turned our devastation into delight. Our dog, Murphy, is the heart and soul of our family and our home. When a neck injury caused him to lose control of his legs, we were devastated. Since he's a 165 pound Great Dane, it was challenging for us to help him. We moved a bed downstairs so one of us could sleep beside him. It took 2 of us, using a harness and sling (almost carrying him), to assist his awkward drunken-sailor walk. Murph was so crushed at not being able to act normally and we were crushed for and with him. Our vet wasn't hopeful but suggested surgery as a long shot to get back some mobility. Like another reviewer, we heard about the Petlight team through friends of friends. So before we pursued surgery, we tried the Petlight approach. We have been going twice a week and, each time, Murphy can't wait for his treatment (he gets great snacks there too). He's able to go up and down the stairs on his own again and the daily routine around the house is pretty much back to normal. So I called this place and asked if they work on cyst the guy said yes we can help you with that. So I bring my dog in and it seams like they are not even vets at this place. seam a little lost when asking question's. I should have left and never looked back but no my dog needed help with this issue and did not need to have him put under anesthesia. He said it would cost $165.00 so we went ahead a tried it and after 30 mins they removed the pad and he was bleeding I was shocked like what did I just do to my dog. After he wanted us to make the next appt. at a rate of $60.00 every 4 day for me most other are 2-3 days. I brought my performance dog (straight track racer and showdog) in for an adjustment as he's two years old and has never been adjusted, though he's raced quite a few times and I run him on a bike. When training him, he would pull away at the middle of the spine from the bike, but I needed him to stay connected to the harness as he was still in training. So one year later, I figured it was time for an adjustment to make sure he's fresh and limber for the show ring. I've REALLY glad we did. Smokey had a partial ACL rupture and his surgeon said he needed to have a surgery. I paid him $140 just to completely misguide me with pictures and videos of other dogs who have ACL rupture. I saw a Facebook Ad of Petlight Therapy Center when I was looking for an alternative, non-invasive treatment for my 9-year-old pug. My dog had weak hind legs -- couldn't walk much and had trouble doing his "business." I was not familiar with light therapy; quite frankly, it sounded too good to be true. But I was desperate, so I decided to give it a try. Boy, I am so glad that I reached out! What I didn't know about from the ad is that Dr. Thompson is a very experienced chiropractor. During the visit, my dog received both an adjustment AND the light therapy in one session. I think that combo is tremendously effective. After five treatments, my dog was clearly walking much better and I could tell that he knew the difference -- he got a sense of pride back. I was extremely disappointed in the vet Dr Campbell at this vet. I went here because Dr Kelly Thompson, animal chiropractor who I had had wonderful experience with is working with this vet. All Dr Campbell could say was "woulda, coulda, shoulda" my 13.5 year old beagle boy had blown two discs in his back and the prognosis was grim but I was willing to try the light therapy with the chiropractic adjustments Dr Thompson had suggested. The first visit was with Dr Campbell the vet, and Dr Thompson and an additional cost for the vet. Well when Dr Campbell kept mentioning what she would have done and the medications, I asked ok can we try those and her response was she was concerned with her license. All of my dogs vet records as he had spent 2 nights at another, could have been accessible to her, but she couldn't be bothered only to make statements what she woulda done or what shoulda been done or what coulda been done. I highly recommend this place and Dr Kelly Thompson. He saved my dog's life. My dog Chili stopped walking and eating after our regular Vet check-up and vaccines in Union City. Don't even know where to start with how awesome this clinic and Dr Thompson are. Our dog had an accident at pet sitters and was crying and in constant pain. We found this clinic and saw the videos and thought we would give it a chance. I have had incredible success with two of my dogs with illnesses I was told by other veterinarians could never improve or be cured. The 2 year old dog was suddenly stricken with an auto immune disorder after receiving a rabies vaccination. His blood work came back at the highest level. He was immediately treated with steroids and I was told this was all that could be done. I changed course and started him on Eastern medicine treatment. It helped a lot, but it was not until he started light treatment that he not only returned to normal but a repeat came back normal! My regular vet was astonished and said he had never seen this happen before. The second dog was stricken with cryptosporidium (a nasty life sentence parasite). I have no idea how he got it but it created Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He has been so sick. Originally weighing 48 lbs he lost 11 lbs! His last test for the parasite (which is done by finding the DNA for the cryptosporidium) came back negative! He is still in treatment and gets 2 light treatments a week, but he is improving. I am now hopeful and very grateful to the staff at the Petlight Therapy Center. read more

My 13 year old terrier was in great health until about a month ago, when he suddenly began limping and then overnight, appeared to be in extreme pain. We took him to a regular vet, who did x rays and blood work and determined he had a serious back injury. They prescribed pain meds and rest, or back surgery consult if we wanted to be aggressive. We were devastated, since no way were we putting an elderly dog through major surgery, and we did not want to lose him or have him remain in such pain. I heard about light therapy from a friend and found Pet Light online, and we have now been to four treatments over the course of just two weeks. The difference in my dog is amazing. He is still obviously in some discomfort, but he is eating again, enjoying life, and his movements are getting more and more normal. We are beyond grateful for this help! So... what happens at this appointment? They are very upfront about costs at the outset, and the price seemed very reasonable to me, especially when you purchase a package of treatments. Dr. Campbell then did an exam of my little guy, and was able to quickly pinpoint where his pain was coming from. Dr. Thompson then watched him walk, confirmed the issue, and began a spinal manipulation (which to my untrained eye, looked like a very gentle, targeted massage). They were very careful and gentle with an elderly dog who was clearly in pain. After that, they put several light panels on his back, wrapped around like a tiny vest. Dr. Thompson spent a great amount of time and answered my questions and provided information. The vest stayed on for about 20 minutes, and they regularly checked to make sure he was comfortable during that time. After the time was up, we went home, and my little guy looked slightly better almost immediately. We went back two days later for another manipulation and light therapy, and the results are getting even better. We are realistic about his prognosis, but are now cautiously optimistic and extremely appreciative for the help that Pet Light has provided. My cat Abby had a bad fall and injured her back. She was unable to put any weight on her hind legs. I took her to the vet and an X-ray showed that her lower vertebrae were compressed and out of alignment. The vet recommended that I give her baby aspirin for the pain. Meanwhile I was carrying her to and from her litter box plus feeding and giving her water in her bed. My thought was that she really needed a chiropractor. I called my chiropractor and she recommended Petlight Therapy Center to me. After an initial exam by Dr. Campbell, Dr. Thompson did a spinal adjustment and gave her a light therapy treatment. Initially I took Abby in two times a week, then once a week, once every other week, and finally once a month. She improved rapidly and enjoyed the sessions. A side benefit is that after the treatments she always slept really well. It was such a relief to see her resting comfortably when she hadn't been sleeping well because of the pain. After a couple of treatments she started using the litter box on her own. It took about a month and a half of treatments before I felt she was fully recovered.
