"Game-changer for my pup's arthritis! Red light therapy boosted their mobility and energy. Highly recommend! "

A fantastic first step to avoid surgery. My pup was diagnosed with medial shoulder lux. Surgery was recommended. Second opinion therapy first was recommended, and I'm glad I did. The prices are very reasonable, the red light is incredibly effective and the staff is experienced and was helpful with evaluating Nala and advising on specific supplements for her. Unfortunately, Nala just had FHO surgery on her right hip as she has severe dysplasia, OA and a fracture on the tip of the head of her femur that required the surgery and was removed The surgery was very expensive and equally brutal. I will bring her back when she is ready for her recovery

Maggie, our 9 year old dog, was diagnosed with IVDD and they gave us 3 options: surgery, manage her symptoms with meds, or put her to sleep. We took her to our vet for a follow up and he suggested we try Petlight Therapy Center. After one session at Petlight Therapy, she was able to stand and walk--still weak but definitely better. After a couple of sessions we're able to go on short walks and she is getting back to her normal self. Shoutout to Suzie, Robin and Dr Greenleaf for helping our girl walk again. We are beyond grateful for the work that you do!

I started bringing my 12 year old dog, Mercy, here in May after she got diagnosed with DM- Degenerative Myelopathy. The team that treated and provided care for her were incredible, specifically Dr. Greenleaf and Susie. Although Mercy has passed away recently, I'm very grateful for the light treatments they provided her so that my children were able to come back from school to spend some precious time with her before she had to go. My whole family is very grateful to have spent time with Mercy during the last period of her life, which couldn't have been possible without the care that Pet-light Therapy provided.

Paco has been getting light therapy for his IVDD, cushings and other ailments for a few months now and we've seen marked improvement with his strength in his back legs, which have become completely wobbly and weak. Paco has been getting cold laser, acupuncture and PT regularly for years but the light therapy seems to be helping significantly so we'll keep coming to help Paco maintain as much strength as possible. Dr Greenleaf (so zen!), Suzy and Dan are the best and truly care so much about animals, it's so nice to see them each time.

We drive all the way down from South San Francisco to get Monkey light therapy. They are so kind here, and have discounts when you purchase 5 or 10 packs of services, and will often give you free double treatment if there's no one else waiting in the waiting room! We have been on the waitlist for physical therapy already for a month, and will need to wait another 2 months (total of 3 months waitlist) to get seen. I'm thankful that petlight therapy helps us get him some sort of treatment in the interim to support Monkey's spinal healing after neurosurgery while we wait for physical therapy to start. Another great perk is if you have Healthy Paws insurance, they cover pet light therapy!

    Thanks Pet Light!! BOSS!!!

Ask the Community - Petlight Therapy Center

How successful is light therapy on a chronic problem of weakness in a chihuahuas hind leg? Do you also do manual spinal adjustment?

Hi, I asked Dr. Cecille at PetLight this and her response was that they love chihuahuas and they help them all the time! And they do manual adjusting at PLTC.

Can the red light help shrink lumps/bumps/tumors?

It wont shrink a cyst when they clamed it does. Made my dogs worse and caused it to burst went to ER.

And when he came back for his post-surgical check up, the vet was astounded that the inflammation was totally clear - something the vet had never seen before! So if you're wondering whether it's worth it to have your pet receive some energy healing when you're already spending so much for their health - the answer is YES! It can make the recovery process easier and less drawn out for your pet (that means less costly too). If you're looking for an unforgettable experience, take a class with Cindie Ambar. I don't have pets now, but I love connecting with animals. I took my pregnant wife to a workshop at the pregnant mare rescue on how to bond with animals and we had the most magical time. The baby horses came right up to us and loved us up after we meditated with them. I can't think of a better gift to give another person than a magical experience like that! And if you want to build your skills as an animal healer yourself - take her Reiki classes! Cindie is the real deal - give her a call and step into her world. She checked in with me several times via text after we had confirmed the session - once about a week out, as well as the day of. She provided the playlist (which was one more thing I could check off my to do list) and offered an essential oil mist for those who wanted it. Meredith had asked about a theme during our initial phone call and was able to tailor the various stretches/poses to compliment it. Throughout the session, Meredith asked the participants if they had any restrictions and offered alternatives. She even included some Somatic Yoga which was new and cool for everyone involved. Meredith was professional, yet casual. She is obviously very skilled/knowledgeable, but also approachable and kept the whole vibe feeling calm and relaxed. I highly recommend booking a session with her. You will not be disappointed!

I received a response offering an exam appointment (which I expected), along with the soonest available opening, but no information about pricing -- not even the cost of the exam itself. I replied asking for both the exam fee and availability. They responded by booking an appointment date and time, again without answering my question about pricing. I had to follow up a third time explaining that I needed to know the cost before confirming, and I was finally told the exam would be $60, which seemed reasonable. Since it was actually my brother's dog, I sent him to the appointment. After the visit, he was quoted $1,600-$2,000 for treatment, which was unfortunately out of his budget. While that happens and isn't necessarily the issue, I was disappointed to find out he had been charged $80 for the exam instead of the $60 I was originally told. When I reached out via text, they explained they "forgot" to apply the new client discount -- something that had never been mentioned to me beforehand. They offered either a refund or to apply the difference toward future services. Since we had already found another clinic that could do the same services for around $1,200, I asked for the $20 refund back to the card. After that, I never heard back. No confirmation of the refund, no apology for the overcharge, nothing. I understand veterinary care is expensive, and it's not their fault my brother is a broke college student. But basic customer service and communication go a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning or recommending this office.

I've had my dog since he was 8 weeks old, and all of his care had been handled here for years. My first major concern happened during his neuter procedure. The staff emphasized that we needed to arrive exactly at 8 AM, so I gave my dog a bath beforehand since I knew he wouldn't be able to bathe after surgery. My dog is hypoallergenic and has hair rather than fur, so he takes a long time to dry. He was still slightly damp when we arrived because I didn't have enough time to fully blow-dry him before the appointment. Hours went by without any communication from the clinic, so I finally called to check on him. That's when they informed me they hadn't even started the procedure because they were waiting for him to dry off in the kennel. I was extremely upset that nobody thought to call and tell me my dog's surgery had been delayed for hours over something so minor. After the surgery, I followed all post-op instructions, but weeks later the stitches still had not dissolved and my dog was becoming irritated. Because my trust had already been shaken, I ended up going to another vet for a second opinion and to have the stitches removed. Despite all of this, I decided to give the clinic another chance. My dog had his first dental cleaning and extraction here when he was around 3, and now at age 7 he needs another cleaning. This time, however, they suddenly said that because of his underbite they could no longer handle his "anatomical challenges" and referred me to a specialist in Aptos that charges nearly double and is completely out of the way. What doesn't make sense to me is that they successfully cleaned his teeth before, but now they're saying they can't do it again. After more than six years of bringing my dog here with no major medical issues, it's incredibly disappointing to now feel like they no longer want to service him. Overall, the customer service has been poor. Communication is lacking, emergencies don't seem to be prioritized appropriately over routine appointments, and my experiences here have left me very disappointed and frustrated.

Dr. Beard and her vet techs took excellent care of my boy. He apparently was having an asthma flare-up. They gave him a sedative shot, since he was being a bit spicy. He hates going to the Dr., just like other pets. They gave him oxygen and a steroid shot. They also took x-rays to be sure there were no foreign objects in his throat. Luckily, all the x-rays were clear. They monitored him, and we were able to take him home after he stabilized. The staff are wonderful here. They treat your pet as if it were their own. They definitely upcharge for medication so I would recommend getting it elsewhere (there are lots of online services for that). They also upcharge for vaccinations. We like to use VIP petcare for vaccinations, there are multiple locations in the area and the cost is like a third of what Archvet charges. When our dog had a life threatening infection last year, we rushed her to Archvet and was told she needed surgery in the next 24 hours, otherwise she would need to be put down. They quoted us $12,000 for the surgery. I was flabbergasted they would try to take advantage of an emotionally sensitive time and I wouldn't be surprised if they did this to every client. I scrambled and did research, found Warm Springs Vet in Milpitas, who did the surgery for $4000 instead. Crazy, right?
