The worst vet ever. Think the name is Pima vet or something like that. So rude and cold.

After his ultrasound on 9/9/26, it was determined that he had a large cancerous mass around his heart & another on his spleen. As painful as it was to decide to let him go after being with us for 12.5 years, it was the best & only choice for Beau & every single team member helped in the most loving way & we will forever remember & appreciate their hugs & kind words through the tears . That day itself, was actually full circle... as our first visit to VEG was back in December 2025 with the wonderful Dr E. performing Beau's 5th surgery in 5 years to remove more cancerous cysts from all over his body. Dr E gave us precious time to love on Beau for another 10 months, which was priceless. We cannot thank everyone at VEG enough. We feel very blessed that Beau was in the right place at the right time with the right medical team, as they truly loved Beau as much as we did. He was the best boy, full of pure love & happiness. We are heartbroken, but so incredibly thankful for the love and care that was given to him during his last day in this world. Thank you VEG for all you do!

After a twelve-hour workday, a rattlesnake bit one of my dogs. I scooped her up and took her to VEG…read more(Veterinary Emergency Group). Covered in blood, I walked into what looked like a reality television set crossed with a reverse game show. The treatment floor was an open-plan, Google-inspired production, with pet owners around the perimeter. One sat beside a dog with an IV, another was with a dog in a cardiac harness. Red eyes and shock in the studio audience. The room changes the economics of consent. With a $7,000 bill under consideration and other owners watching their animals receive care, questioning a recommendation can feel like announcing that you're the one person unwilling to pay to save your dog. Socializing the pressure to pay is brilliant, manipulative business design. VEG calls this an immersive emergency experience. Owners stay with their pets. There are snacks and beverages. The employees are "VEGgies." It has the peculiar energy of a service designed by a focus group that asked what Gen Z might want from an ER: access, participation, affirmation, and a story to tell afterward. I wanted to stay with my dog too, but more importantly, I wanted a clear account of her condition, followed by treatment. Instead, the relentlessly sweet corporate script kept getting in the way of treatment. After one performative interaction after another, my dog had received methadone, but no IV and no antivenom. Then I was told the "infusionist" was on the way and would arrive in an hour. Meanwhile, she continued to bleed and swell, and was showing clear signs of tissue damage. I was the person who strayed from the script. I carried her out and drove to another, non-theatrical emergency veterinarian. Within five minutes, they placed an IV line and started a vial of antivenom. No snacks. No affirmations. No audience. No infusionist. They got busy practicing emergency medicine. VEG was an inept. They quoted 100% more on the low end estimate then the practice that actually provided medical care. Perhaps the margin covers the snacks. My dog is paying the price with tissue damage. I'll never return.

What an A+ urgent vet care experience…read more I found the spot through reading reviews here on Yelp. Unfortunately, my late, sweet angel of a Bichon Frise has recently passed, however it was extremely helpful to have brought her here to this facility to understand more in depth the severity of her medical issue. Not only is the staff here so friendly and empathetic, they are also punctual, efficient and very honest. My dog sitter ended up taking my dog here one night while we were out of town to deal with her chronic vomiting. The vet caring for her that evening spoke with me directly over the phone to go over treatment options. I thoroughly appreciated her honesty. I ended up having to take my dog back here one night a few weeks later due to the vomiting starting up again and her primary vet also suggested what she's going through needs to be handled at an actual animal hospital. This second visit was just as efficient and also they were kind enough to waive certain fees due to us returning back to them in such a short amount of time. I also like the fact that we're able to use payment plan options via Affirm. That was extremely helpful for me during this previous emotionally tumultuous season. Overall, great urgent animal care location. I highly recommend them.

He'd had a full check up within weeks and actually was at VEG about a month before for an unrelated GI issue. We had unfortunately been to several other emergency vets before making it to VEG, as we were out and about when the crisis started. I also had my little pug with me as getting care for my Great Dane was a bigger priority than taking her home. Once again the staff at VEG surrounded us with compassionate care. Nothing could have changed the outcome of the day but I am so grateful that at every moment the VEG staff was working to save my dog and caring so much for all of our comfort. They immediately got several large beds and a blanket for him to lie down and offered me a cushion. They handled him with love and checked on us in so many ways. And they tried. At one point we had something like 6 people working to stabilize him and everyone was focused and on task. I felt they worked on him not like a job but as if he was their own. I know its hard to work on a holiday and I know his death was emotional for everyone. But thank you all because at least I was with him to the very end and he knew he was being cared for. Being able to be with your dog throughout care is such a meaningful difference in the veterinary industry and in both owners and pets experience with vet care, and I feel like VEG always has such caring people. Thank you, though honestly have to say I'm hoping to see you all less in 2026.

He ended up being diagnosed with puppy strangles :( the team here was so kind!!! I got seen immediately and then they took him back for examination. They were very thorough, even finding an issue with his testicles (not related to our visit but very appreciated!). The doctor took her time to answer all my questions in detail. They even called us a couple days later to ask how he's doing and offered to send records to his primary care we will see. Overall, great experience for a bad situation and will keep it in my recommendations for any future needs!! It costs $190 for the exam and our medications were $60. Not bad at all for what I was expecting

We initially called them when we were headed their way, to get their thoughts, and did appreciate them giving us some insight on the phone. We opted to stop in to be on the safe side. It was a bit quieter this time around, so we were able to get in a room right away and seen relatively quickly. It was a very much a "Got to rule out the options" type situation that required a bit more guesswork. Based on the initial intake, they recommended a blood panel, a SNAP panel (bloodwork specifically for ticks), X-rays and possible CT. We decided to start with the bloodwork, to minimize putting our dog through more procedures than necessary. They also have a relatively quick turn around time of 20-30 minutes for the results, making it easy to proceed if necessary. The tech we spoke with was nice, but a little brisk and not super helpful which inquiring on the next steps/options. She did mention a CT may be required and was helpful in getting prices and options for same day if needed. We did get the blood work results back, about an hour later, and Dr. Robinson came to speak with us, with a good news, bad news sitch. He had gotten an infection from a tick and his body was having trouble clotting and fighting it off, hence the nosebleed. She did a great job explaining and laying out all the details. Luckily, it was in the treatable phase and she ran through the prescriptions and care that would be required and let us know they would bring back the medication and Roni shortly. About an hour plus later...they bring him back, His nose had not stopped bleeding the entire time! Not their fault, it was uncontrollable, and they attempted, but was just not really treatable. We ended up spending about 4 1/2 hours there, most of that time which was not with our dog. All the initial exams and what not I understand, but getting the results and talking to the doctor, and still waiting another hour after the fact, seemed longer than necessary and we just felt bad for our pup, because we would have rather been with our dog waiting, then him in the back while waiting alone. A few other key details: It's $190 regardless for your pet to be examined, which you need to pay up front. Any other services, you pay for if you decide to proceed. They have two entrances, one for cats and one for dogs. it leads to the same space, but has separate sides to the same counter which is nice. The Dr recommended Nexgard (Tick treatment), which they do not have onsite, we had inquired if we could order from Chewy digitally, they said yes, but turns out they cannot. They do send home a paper prescription, but something to keep in mind or double check on. Overall, very grateful they figured out what was wrong and took care of him. The space was clean and staff was overall friendly. Their prices seem reasonable as well. A bit more communication would have been appreciated, especially regarding time, or at least updates so we knew he was okay and maybe a bit more guidance on what treatments make the most sense. They do a great job and though I hope you never need to go to the emergency vet, they are a great 24 hour accessible options.

They are careless and endanger pets or worse kill them like they did Sirena 3-3-26. Also Stephany the manager helps to cover it up and will belittle you. Read the reviews I'm not the only one who has had this experience. A man had to bury his best friend in one. A woman almost lost her kitty in another, took them to court and a judge ruled the vet was not fit for practice suspended license for a year. Read the reviews. Almost a quarter of them are the same thing. Sirena's life was taken because they failed to run appropriate tests including xray to determine and diagnose. They lead to her getting worse not better and then administered incorrect dosage for sedation and pain management leading to death. They failed to properly supervise her under anesthesia. They failed to inform me of any risks, alternatives, or the prognosis of the treatment. They lied on the report several times falsifying what happened so they could be unaccountable. This place did not care about the consequences of taking a life nor what it does to a family after the fact. Sirena was a victim and this will happen again unless you don't give them the chance. My Sirena was with me everyday for 4 years and trusted me to take care of her and I let her down going to this place. She deserved better! It breaks my heart reliving being at Gilbert Queen Creek emergency veterinarian and specialist center. I know Sirena would be alive today if I had gone elsewhere. Crystal the hospital director called 5/1/26 offering 300$ "on the books" saying they could have done better. I will never go back to Gilbert queen creek emergency veterinarian. I was shocked she would even insinuate that I would. The grief of losing Sirena and having conversations with these people mentally and physically takes a toll on me. If Sirena was given critical care, the right care from the right specialist, she would be alive today.

We authorized the evaluation but not CPR. A little while later the vet came to let us know what the evaluation showed and she was so thorough and kind, explained the possible causes of seizures and potential treatment plans. They kept our pup overnight to monitor for more seizures, give her IV fluids, etc. We brought her home today. I have a medical background and I found the care was excellent, appropriate and the communication was great. I received 3 calls from the various vets on duty and each time they were informative and kind. My regular vet had already been notified within about 12 hours of admission and they called to check on us. The only hesitation of have is the cost of services. It seems very expensive. Medication that they provided when we took the pup home cost $62.38 for 30 pills. The price for 120 tabs from Chewy is $25.08. I understand the cost of intensive/ER services is exorbitant in general but $2000 for a 24 hour visit is something that many people can not afford.
