Typical con artists. Do yourself a favor and drive your pet up to someone in the Phoenix area if your regular veterinarian is unable to diagnose or treat them. The game at this location (very typical for Tucson) is to pretend as if there are no inexpensive, effective diagnostic or treatment protocols available, even though there really are. Instead, they will try to convince you that your best bet is to make a wild guess, prescribe you multiple pharmaceutical products, and have you come back every three months for the rest of your pet's life, at a fee of several hundred dollars per appointment. They may also try to convince you to purchase some very expensive imaging services that have a low chance of providing any useful information.
If you ask them to perform the inexpensive diagnostic tests, or ask them for more information about other inexpensive treatments because you happen to already know about them, then of course they will feign anger and threatened to cut off your pet from any and all diagnostic and treatment options in the future. Your pet is their hostage, and so is your pocketbook. I do not know how Tucson manages to be such a terrible place for veterinary care. read more
