She had many health issues that required hospitalization on 3 or 4 occasions. The main cause was diverticulitis & UTI's that kept reoccurring & causing severe infection & pain. It became apparent that the diverticulitis wasn't going to just go away. As is the case during her last hospitalization there were so many interns, residents, doctors & specialists that came to see my wife in the process of determining the issues & what the best course of action would be. It's very frustrating having everyone & everything coming into her room. All the specialists urologists, radiologists, infection control doctors & colon surgeons (Dr Park). Dr Park is a very knowledgeable, likable & personable doctor that took the time to explain what needed to be done to prevent the continuing bouts w/diverticulitis. He said surgery should be done to prevent these reoccurring bouts. He performed the surgery back in November of 2022 & as of this date April 12 2023 there haven't been any reoccurring bouts with my wife's diverticulitis. Thank you Dr Park for a great job. We are both very grateful that things have returned to normal.

There were people cleaning it when I got there. It wasnt super relaxing because I could hear everything because there was just those bay-like doors to close off the studio from everything outside. Marla-although super nice. I have a major pet peeve when it comes to time. My apptmt was for 1015AM. I received a call from her at about 955AM saying she was running late because of construction. Said she would be there right around 1015. Well, Marla didnt roll up until 1030. Then I felt like everything was rushed, etc. Also, she had an apptmt after me so she shorted me 15 mins. However, she did say she would give me a free 15 mins next time. I just expect people to be there at least 15 mins before my apptmt. Not running 15 mins late. HUGE PET PEEVE! Also, the studio is pretty simple. I just laid on the table with my clothes on. It wasnt very dark either. I didnt mind though, but if you are looking for amazing ambiance-THIS IS NOT THE PLACE for you! The actual massage was really fantastic. Hard pressure in all of the right places. The only thing was, I wished I would have gotten my full time, the first time! Also, Marla gave me some great tips for re-energizing myself throughout the day. I really appreciated that. I have always been a firm believer of the phrase, "If it ain't broken, don't fix it." This was…read moreuntil I was diagnosed with a sliding hiatal hernia causing my esophagus to "break down" leading to esophagitis and possible Barrett's Esophagus. For 15 years, I suffered with GERD (acid reflux disease) and popped prescription pills and over-the-counter antacids like it was nobody's business---not knowing what the long-term side effects could be. As an ICU nurse myself, I see the worst of the worst post-operative case scenarios. With that said, I was skeptical to have surgery of any kind. Dr. Frantzides was referred to me by a veteran nurse/coworker of mine. As she put it, "You want the best of the best when it comes to your body." Dr. Frantzides was this surgeon. After all, he was named one of America's Top Doctor's (http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/dr-constantine-frantzides-surgery-is-named-one-of-americas-top-doctors-184146771.html). He remains well-renowned and respected by the medical community due to his countless published articles and three books on the subject (if you don't believe me, click here: http://www.laparoscopicexperts.com/articles.html). While he performs other minimally invasive surgical procedures such as bariatric/weight loss, colon, rectal, small intestine, kidney, and anything that involves the gastrointestinal system, laproscopic hiatal hernia repair is his "baby," as described it. Unfortunately, he is outside of all networks requiring up front payment a week before surgery, however, I have realized that money isn't important when it comes to my health, yet of course, this is not feasible for all. My only other complaint is that the office visit waits (usually 30+ minutes). The reason for this is he truly answers every one of your questions with direct answers and is very thorough. He does not just sell your surgery, but discusses the risks and benefits as a true doctor should. My surgery day came when Dr. Frantzides performed a hiatal hernia repair with Nissen fundoplication---it was a big success. Even more so since he discovered a second hernia and was able to repair it while I was already on the operating table. While it took a week to heal to the point of feeling "normal," I was was on a surgical unit versus the intensive care floor (as promised), out of the hospital the next day (as promised), and received the quality care of a friendly visit or call every day following the surgery (as promised). If you have any health concerns requiring minimally invasive surgery, be sure to pay a visit to Dr. Frantzides to see if he may help you.
