Not impressed with inability to assist my 80+ yr old mother in initial intake area. I was informed that family assistance (going in with patients) has been prohibited since Covid. Covid is long gone ... seems to me the center doesn't want people to help their loved ones get comfortable before any procedure! What are they hiding? Ridiculous! While the prep is unpleasant, the facility, office staff, nurses and doctors are outstanding. They ALL were pleasant, respectful, prompt, caring, professional and technically competent. The facility is clean and modern. I was informed of my results upon waking up and had printed reports on my way out. This is an extremely efficient, well organized and professional facility with outstanding staff and doctors. It's a pleasure to give them this rating as they work hard to earn it. Dr Williams is the best. My anesthesiaologist was wonderful. Saw me crying in gastro pain and helped me right away. I will say..when I woke, I forgot they blow you up with air for a colonoscopy. I yelled in pain and said oh my gosh my stomach hurts so much and I heard from behind me the reply, "then go to ER!" I looked and it was a nurse! I said , what? And she repeated it. I said what is your name and I believe she said Susan. I said what is your last name and she refused to give that. When I walked out to the bathroom, all the nurses were lined up and said, are you ok in there Susan? Like I would strike a nurse?? That was my only bad issue with many years with Dr Williams. His staff especially Lexi in his office is wonderful and he is a Godsend to me. It took almost 40 years for a Dr to biopsy my colon under a microscope to find out what was wrong with me. I adore him! He works hard and calls personally and....is extremely easy on the eyes! read more

This is not my favorite way to spend nearly 24 hours, when prep and procedure are combined, but this experience was exceptional when I consider the care I received. From the moment I entered the office, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the nurses were tremendous (especially the one dressed as Elvis...it was Halloween!). Dr. Vainder was great, the experience passed in no time at all, and I am relieved that it is over. My thanks to all that made an unpleasant procedure as pleasant as it could possibly be. read more

Billings department is terrible and borderline criminal. they reapprove services to be covered by insurance and then change codes to make patient pay rather insurance. They will not help resolve issues. They will send you to collection agency rather than help you not feel like a victim. They are big business and don't actually care for their patients. probably owned by private equity firm or something similar. I can't speak on quality of doctors bc my Colonoscopy result was neutral. read more

It was time to get a colonoscopy again after five years. I had a relative who had used Dr Vainder and had a very good experience so I decided to get an appointment with Dr Vainder in the Glen. Dr Vainder and the anesthesiologist were just wonderful. I've had a number of colonoscopies in the past but it seemed what I had to drink on the day of and before put less stress on my stomach. The colonoscopy on its own went very well and I was up and out to my ride home within a short time. I highly recommend Dr Vainder and his office workers. read more

I was referred to Dr Merel prior to having colon surgery for her opinion. She was thorough and honest with me which I appreciated. I did have the surgery and returned for my 3 month post op colonoscopy. My husband and neighbor have also been to Dr Merel. The nurses and anesthesiologist were all friendly and thorough. Had several colonoscopies here and the care is top notch. Brand new facility, convenient, courteous, thorough. Warm blankets, making sure your ride is ready for you...doctors are great too. Everyone introduces themselves and tells you what they're there for -- nurses, anesthesiologist, your doctor, of course. Dr. Merel gives a great introduction to the procedure as well as summary. Recovery was not rushed. COVID protocols made me feel so so safe. read more

I had a colonoscopy on 6-17 with Dr. Vainder. The experience from start to finish was top shelf all the way. The protocols followed were state of the art considering the Covid situation. Safety was first, and the professionalism of the Nurse(Jen)and her care did not go unnoticed. Dr. Vainder put my mind at ease, and listened patiently to my questions and concerns. 1/4/2019 Im writing this about two people imperticular. Linda in the insurance department and Beth the office manager. Back in 2015 I had two procedures done. I arrived at the office where I was at that moment I had to pay $300 out of pocket deductible. Okay, but could anyone have made me aware of this with the three prior phone calls I had telling me I needed an insurance care and ID? When I received he bill it was over $1000. I immediately called and spoke to Beth and informed her my husband and I had had an unfortunate financial hardship occur and that I would be able to make payments by Bank Of America through Auto Pay that I had already set up $50 a month. Not a personal whenever i decide to write it payment by check, but again an auto pay set up through my bank check. Beths answer NO, you have to pay $100. As I stated I could only do $50 but I understood policy and to make her feel better if the check does not come through BOA she of course needed to take action. She would not listen And she tried to make me feel like an irresponsible person. Which I am not, considering I called immediately. Beth ended up immediately placing me in collections. I spoke to the gentleman handling my case and when he heard what I said he laughed asking me you said auto pay Bank check you told her that? I said yes. He said well thats a great office manager as she will not get full payment now because we get a feel for handling this. He said if you can't do more, you can't. You called immediately tried to arrange a valid offer and they're being unreasonable. Keep on auto paying. Thats all you can do. 1/2/19 I get a call from linda. I owe before the procedure $1612, because I had been in collections. One day before the procedures im told this. Okay, I need to get this done so I will pay it up front. Here's the kicker. I check in and the lovely girl at the desk asks me for my ID and Insurance card does her thing and the very uncomfortably slides a clear page holder with writing all over it highlighted, and underlined with a post it on top in red ink COSTUMER IN COLLECTIONS. Not sure why that needed to be written on a post it attached to the top of the plastic folder as I am not IN COLLECTIONS, the receptionist didn't need to see or know that, and Linda and I had spoke so I was very aware that I needed to comeup with $1600 over night Beth as the office manager and Linda in the insurance dept are unkind and unprofessional for what I felt was no reason. We are all human who go through things occasionally and are in need of human kindness. I will move forward with this as i am sure there are Board of Directors who handle this facility and make sure of the management of their office personal. This is my second colonoscopy with The Glen. Dr. Shapiro is my gastroenterologist and he is exceptional. He explains everything and really is a consummate professional and I trust him implicitly to give me the best medical care. The procedure was a breeze. The entire staff are excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and kind as well. My anesthesia professional, Jan, was also profoundly informative and put me at ease with so much information and she was just great with some much needed humor to make this medical event smooth and comfortable. Also want to mention the prep. 3 years ago I took Suprep, soooooo hard to drink that vile crap. I was dreading this colonoscopy and went a month late from anxiety about the prep!. When I spoke with Dr Shapiro I asked if I could use an alternative Miralax/Gatorade that I had heard of. Dr Shapiro had nothing good to say about that but did prescribe Sutab. 24 tabs that you take in 2 x 12 tab doses plus 2 x 3 lots of 16 oz water. So amazingly easy to take, so really effective and so much better that it was absolutely tasteless, just drink all 96 oz of water!! I can't say enough about this facility. Starting with the staff at the front desk, to all the nurses and assistants and especially my Physician Dr. Kenneth D. Chi, the service is far above the top. I have been receiving my yearly Endoscopy for years, as well as my Colonoscopies at this facility and have talked to many patients in the waiting room and that is all I hear from them is the professionalism of the other doctors there. Fantastic center to have your colonoscopy and other offered services. Parking is a few feet from main entrance. You walk in and your greeted by a wonderful reception area. This facility is immaculate. The doctors and nurses and staff are very well qualified and caring. Everything is explained before hand so there is no surprises. Very convenient to get to. I had my first colonoscopy just yesterday. I procrastinated for 9 years. I thought I could never get this done. I don't have a problem going to the doctor, or getting anything else done, but a colonoscopy was out of the question. Well, it was the best medical experience ever. I felt comfortable from the minute I walked in. The facility was very clean. I look at everything. All of the staff were very professional. Everyone that came in contact with me introduced themselves, and their roles. The anesthesiologist was so warm and welcoming. We had great conversation until Dr. Qazi arrived who had the kindest smile. By that point, I was ready to go, and it was over before I knew it. No discomfort whatsoever. They gave me everything in writing, along with photos, follow through plan etc. I was so impressed with their thoroughness, professionalism, punctuality; the entire experience.
