I brought in an item expecting a straightforward alteration, but instead of explaining options and costs upfront, additional services were suggested in a casual way that made them sound minor and necessary. At no point was I given a clear breakdown of what those services would cost, nor was I asked to formally agree to a final price. As someone without experience in tailoring or alterations, I relied on the professional to explain what was being done and what it would cost. That didn't happen. There was no estimate, no written quote, and no verbal confirmation of price before the work was started. I wasn't told, "This will cost X," or even given a range. I was simply guided along as if everything being suggested was standard and reasonable. When I returned to pick up the item, I was shocked by the final bill. The price was far higher than expected, especially considering I was never informed of the cost beforehand. At that point, you're essentially stuck-- the work is already done, and you're pressured into paying a price you never knowingly agreed to. That is not how ethical customer service works. What made this experience worse was the attitude when I expressed confusion about the cost. Instead of acknowledging the lack of communication or explaining the charges clearly, I was made to feel as though I should have known better. That's not fair to customers, especially those who don't regularly use alteration services and trust the business to be honest and upfront. A reputable business should always explain pricing clearly before performing any work. Customers should not have to ask repeatedly or guess what something might cost. Transparency is basic customer service, and unfortunately, it was completely missing here. This review isn't about the quality of the stitching--it's about the experience. Even if the work itself is acceptable, that doesn't excuse unclear pricing practices or putting customers in uncomfortable positions where they feel pressured to pay unexpected charges. The old man that works here made inappropriate comments about my body shape multiple times when I…read morebrought in jeans to be altered. We agreed on how the jeans would be altered. He called me to let me know my jeans were ready to be picked up and again commented on my body shape being nice and that I probably don't need the jeans urgently because I must have lots of nice clothes that fit my beautiful shape (wtf?) When I returned to pick them up he did completely the opposite of what I asked and I asked him if I could then show him again how I wanted it done (was still open to working with him). He instead then undid the the threads and threw the jeans at me and told me to go somewhere else. I let his poor wife sitting at the sewing machine know how sleazy her husband is on my way out.

I waited there while she finished the item and she thought i was taking what was done and leaving the rest. i said no I want everything, I will pay for what you did. Took my items left and will never ever go badk or recommend this place to anyone. When you take anything there and they say come back a certain day that just means that day they tell you to come back on is when they do what you want not while they have been left there. Not worth the money either for the job. Expensive and shoddy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.... I wish I read these reviews before going there or never would have.

I had let the stain set for a while and didn't think it would come out. When I came to pick it up, you wouldn't have even known there was ever a stain there. Great quality work all around.

A lovey shop to visit for alterations and stylish, unique pieces…read more We visited today out of curiosity as we pass by this establishment plenty of times, and we were in for a pleasant surprise. Their store is lined with handmade hats, sweaters, gnomes, and beautifully designed glassware. The owner, Karin, is a wonderful lady who we enjoyed chatting with wholeheartedly. Though the store is still being organized, their current selection and availability great! This shop is amazing and I highly recommend those interested in alterations or beautiful handiwork to stop on by!

This modern fit works for every one (men and women) including those of us (like me) age 55 +. That's where Veena comes in. Recently I took 5 pairs of pant and a blazer in for alterations. With my previous apparel experience, I thought I had to explain what I wanted. I didn't need to. She knew exactly what I was looking for (and taught me a thing or two). She's the "real deal".
